Young Citizens is recruiting a Communications & Engagement Coordinator to join us in a hands‑on role at the heart of our mission to help young people become active, engaged and informed citizens. As part of our national charity's central team, you’ll deliver essential engagement campaigns and content that help us stand out to schools, communities, partners and the wider public.

Your Role's Purpose

This role brings together a varied mix of communications work, giving you the chance to shape how Young Citizens’ story is shared with schools, partners and the wider public. You’ll help bring our work to life through clear, engaging content and play a part in the moments that showcase our impact throughout the year. • Design targeted national campaigns that reach priority audiences, especially teachers and schools
• Help ensure our messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with our mission and values
• Assist with the annual communications plan and organisation‑wide campaigns
• Support impact reporting and storytelling across platforms

Who we are looking for

This role is our primary communications role, working with our education and delivery managers to ensure great comms for the charity. It requires someone ready to own and lead this work understanding out to ensure good quality assurance processes but also strategic deployment of e-comms.

You should have around three or more years’ experience in communications, digital marketing, or a similar role, ready to lead a busy portfolio of work.

• Creative and digitally apt, with experience producing engaging content and managing social media and main digital channels (website, key social media outlets and complex e-mail campaigns).
• A clear and adaptable communicator, familiar with writing for a range of external audiences and adapt to format and styles, presenting our work in a compelling format.

Communications Officer

Location: Home-based in the UK, within 90 minutes travel of Central London, with occasional national and international travel

Contract: 2 years with the possibility of extension dependent on continuation of funding.

Reporting to: Head of Communications

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000

Overall purpose of role

As the WeProtect Global Alliance Communications Officer, you will:

Support the development and delivery of WeProtect Global Alliance’s communications and marketing activity, ensuring clear, consistent and engaging messaging that strengthens the Alliance’s visibility, credibility and impact globally.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will deliver high-quality digital, editorial and marketing outputs across multiple channels, including through our website, social media, newsletters, campaigns and events. You will also work collaboratively across the Secretariat to embed communications thinking into projects, policy work and member engagement.

A self-starter who is politically and culturally aware, you will be comfortable working in a small, remote Secretariat and across time zones. Communications planning & delivery

· Support the Head of Communications to implement the Alliance’s communications strategy.

· Contribute to communications planning and communications calendar for organisational priorities, including policy outputs, research, events and member initiatives.

· Ensure a consistent pipeline of integrated communications activities

· Ensure consistent messaging aligned with WeProtect Global Alliance’s brand, values and strategic objectives.

Digital channels & content management

· Maintain and update the Alliance’s website, ensuring content is accurate, accessible and up to date, including member resources and publications.

· Manage the Alliance’s social media channels, monitoring activity and working with the Members Team to ensure a steady stream of high-quality content.

· Draft, edit and publish blogs, news items and digital content for diverse global audiences.

Marketing, campaigns & engagement

Stormbreak are on a mission to challenge the rising crisis in children’s mental, physical and emotional wellbeing and we’re looking to grow the stormbreak Trust and Income team to achieve this.

Are you passionate about fundraising and about children’s mental and physical health? Do you want to positively shape and impact children’s lives, helping give them the tools and strategies to sustainably manage their mental health and wellbeing?

We need a talented, successful grants and trusts manager with an impressive track record of securing funding (including six figure) and driving charitable income growth. We need someone with experience of working within small-medium sized charities, someone who understands the challenges charities face and is resilient, self-sufficient, tenacious, ambitious, honest, full of integrity, brimming with enthusiasm and an all-round brilliant fundraiser (and human!) who loves what they do and is excited about making a real difference to stormbreak and the children and adults we work with.

You will lead on:

1. achieving the fundraising budget and increasing stormbreak’s total income over future years,
2. stewarding and cultivating our existing portfolio of trust / foundation supporters to maximise future income from the trusts / grants income stream through carefully crafted new approaches and applications, 
3. diversifying stormbreak’s income through the new development of major donor / corporate fundraising income streams.

Main responsibilities:

• To achieve the fundraising budget

The Opportunity   

As a key team member within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will play a vital role in creating, developing and delivering the Social Mobility Foundation’s Employer Programme and Social Mobility Employer Index - how we inform, influence and positively impact employer-led social mobility, and a source of income generation. 
 

1. Delivery of the Social Mobility Employer Index 

• Deliver the SMEI 2026, including but not limited to: marking entries, creating individual feedback reports for each entrant, creating sector reports for key industries, and gathering feedback to review and update the survey for 2027 

• Maintain accurate and up to date information and process documentation, including the mark scheme used to mark entries, and the process followed to create feedback reports 

• Support with the ongoing development of the digital platform, employer resources and online content, ensuring it is updated in line with the survey and delivers a smooth user journey

• Support with the annual monitoring and evaluation of the SMEI and its impact on employer-led social mobility 

2. Stakeholder management and customer service 

• Provide excellent customer service and stewardship to organisations entering the SMEI throughout the whole customer journey, e.g. preparing and sending regular communications and updates to prospective and live entrants, answering questions received into the SMEI inbox and troubleshooting independently 

• Prepare and deliver feedback calls and presentations for organisations, including Lunch & Learns on social mobility, introductory calls on the SMEI, presentations and webinars about the SMEI, and providing detailed feedback calls on entrants’ performance in the SMEI 

• Support with creating and developing assets and activities to market the SMEI and other products and services including webinars and social media assets 

• Engage with external stakeholders, such as employers, policy experts and social mobility practitioners, to understand key issues and trends relevant to workplace social mobility

• Stay up to date with the latest research, evidence and on workplace and employer-led social mobility, communicating changes or updates with colleagues, as well as maintaining and updating the evidence base for the SMEI

Campaigns and Public Affairs Officer

We’re looking for a Campaigns and Public Affairs Officer to help turn insight, lived experience and evidence into powerful public campaigns that drive change for people affected by bowel cancer. You’ll play a hands-on role in delivering creative, inclusive campaigns that mobilise supporters, grow engagement and help people take meaningful action across the UK. BeSpace is a small but growing Christian charity with a big vision to see a future where every child has space to develop personal tools to pray, reflect and grow spiritually throughout their lives, helping churches, schools and communities to flourish.

We have seen incredible impact through developing prayer and reflections spaces in schools across Oxfordshire. Since 2010, over 65,000 children have experienced prayer and reflection spaces led by local churches, trained and resourced by us. About the Role

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to cover adoption leave, likely for one year. This is a vital role in keeping BeSpace running smoothly and enabling our small but growing team to thrive. You will also, where needed, play a hands-on role in supporting churches and schools in our work. 

In this role, you will:

• Take responsibility for key operational processes including recruitment, HR, and volunteer management systems — not only maintaining them effectively but actively seeking ways to innovate and strengthen them, with guidance and support from senior leaders. 
• Manage finance administration, including donations, CRM (Beacon), and Gift Aid claims.
• Project manage BeSpace events and provide admin support to the team.

Role Details

• Position: Operations Coordinator
• Location: Hybrid, travel required for in person team days 3 - 6 times a year and approximately 1 day a week into Oxford.
• Hours of work: PT 4 days a week. (28 hours) Flexible for the right candidate.

This is a fun and rewarding role that will manage our email schedule, drive forward our email journeys and support our fundraising appeals and digital campaigns.

Stepping Stones North Wales is a specialist charity providing free trauma-informed counselling and therapeutic support services to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse across the six counties of North Wales. Purpose of the Role

The Volunteer and Stakeholder Engagement Officer will play a key role in strengthening Stepping Stones North Wales’ capacity, reach and financial sustainability by recruiting, supporting and retaining volunteers, and by building positive, effective relationships with key stakeholders across North Wales. This role will help raise awareness of our services, support partnership working, and ensure volunteers feel valued, supported and aligned with our trauma-informed ethos.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Engagement

• Develop and implement a volunteer recruitment strategy aligned with organisational needs and values.
• Recruit, onboard and induct volunteers, ensuring safer recruitment practices are followed.
• Act as the main point of contact for volunteers, providing ongoing support, supervision and guidance.
• Coordinate volunteer training, including safeguarding, boundaries and trauma-informed practice.
• Ensure volunteers feel valued and recognised for their contribution.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records in line with GDPR requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including statutory services, voluntary sector partners, funders, businesses and community groups.
• Support the CEO in representing Stepping Stones North Wales at meetings, forums and events across North Wales.
• Support partnership working to improve referral pathways and joint working opportunities.
• Assist with stakeholder communications, including updates, presentations and reports as required.

Promotion and Awareness

• Support the promotion of Stepping Stones North Wales’ services to professionals and the wider community.
• Work with colleagues to contribute to outreach activities, events and campaigns.
• Gather feedback from volunteers and stakeholders to inform service development and improvement.

Client support

• Support the complimentary client support groups within North Wales.
• Develop partnership working in the community to deliver activities and education to support groups.
• Research and set-up of new support groups within North Wales.
• Support the Clinical Lead and work with counsellors and staff to ensure safe transition and support of clients within support groups and in moving from counselling into support groups.

Governance, Safeguarding and Quality

• Work within Stepping Stones North Wales’ policies and procedures, including safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection.
• Uphold the organisation’s trauma-informed and survivor-centred values at all times.
• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation by collecting relevant data and feedback.

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience of recruiting, coordinating or supporting volunteers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
• Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, survivor-centred practice.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
