Job description

Business Support & Operations Administrator

Permanent and Fully Remote
Monday-Friday, 9.30am-1.00pm
£18,250 (which is £36,500 FTE)

Are you looking for a genuinely flexible, part-time role that fits around school hours, caring responsibilities or other commitments?

We're recruiting for a Business Support & Operations Administrator to join a friendly, highly respected consultancy that works exclusively with charities, membership organisations and other purpose-driven organisations across the UK.

This is a fully home-based, permanent position working 17.5 hours per week (9.30am-1.00pm Monday to Friday). It's a rare opportunity to join a values-led organisation with a strong reputation and a genuine commitment to supporting the charity sector.

The Role

This is a varied role at the heart of the business, supporting everything from finance admin and contracts through to recruitment, project administration and day-to-day operations.
You'll help keep things running smoothly by:
  • Supporting invoicing, payroll administration and financial processes
  • Setting up new projects and contracts
  • Maintaining CRM systems and records
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Coordinating events and business administration
  • Being the organisational hub that keeps everything on track

About You

We're looking for someone who:
  • Has previous administration or business support experience
  • Is highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Enjoys working independently
  • Is comfortable with basic finance administration
  • Has strong IT and communication skills
  • Takes ownership and enjoys solving problems

Why Apply?

  • Fully remote - work from anywhere in the UK
  • Part-time hours - 9.30am-1.00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Permanent position
  • Supportive, low-ego culture
  • Meaningful work supporting organisations that make a positive difference
  • A trusted and well-respected employer with strong values
This role would suit an experienced administrator, operations coordinator or business support professional looking for flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to be part of a team that genuinely cares about the impact its clients have on society.

Charity People is a forward thinking, inclusive organisation that actively and deliberately promotes equity, diversity and inclusion. We know organisations thrive when inclusion is at the forefront. We evidence our commitment by matching charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates irrespective of background e.g. age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we believe that greater diversity leads to greater results for the charities we work with.
