The Role

We’re looking for a Digital Communications Manager to lead the creation and delivery of compelling, high-quality digital content to our global audiences.

This is a varied, hands-on role that plays a key part in strengthening the Foundation’s digital presence and ensuring communications are engaging, consistent, and aligned with organisational priorities. You will work closely with the Head of Communications & Advocacy and colleagues across the organisation to manage our digital platforms, oversee content production, and deliver effective, audience-focused communications.

Your work will span website and CMS management, social media and email campaigns, design, multimedia content development, and digital analytics—ensuring that content is impactful, channels are effectively managed, and performance is continuously improved.

It will be essential for you to play a central role in using data and insights to refine content and targeting strategies, ensuring digital communications support partnership development, influence key stakeholders, and enhance the Foundation’s overall visibility and impact.

This role is well suited to someone who is a self-starter, operates comfortably at both a strategic and delivery level, works across multiple areas, and thrives on collaborating with stakeholders.

About You

The successful candidate will be a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented digital communications professional with a track record of managing digital content, platforms, and campaigns at an organisational level. You will bring a structured approach to your work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, channels, and stakeholders comfortably.

Technically savvy, you will thrive in using data and insights to inform decisions and improve digital engagement, alongside your accomplished content creation skills. These include experience producing visual and multimedia content, as well as excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate communications within the business community, development finance sector, or a similar environment that requires delivering high-quality communications to a diverse range of global audiences.

A CIPR Specialist Diploma (Digital Communications), or equivalent, is desirable but not essential.

Ealing MHCA is a drop‑in mental health crisis support service for anyone in Ealing aged 18 and over who is experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress. The service provides a safe, calm, and welcoming space where individuals can receive immediate support without needing to attend A&E. Our aim is to reduce distress, help people feel heard, and support them to regain stability in the moment.

Visitors can access one‑to‑one emotional support, help creating short‑ and long‑term safety plans, guidance and signposting to other relevant services, and access to refreshments. The service may also offer group activities, such as peer support sessions, creative groups, or wellbeing‑focused activities, which create opportunities for connection, expression, and recovery in a supportive environment.

The National Lottery Community Fund (The Fund) wishes to recruit an external member for the Climate Action Fund Decision Panel. The Chair of the UK Funding Committee (UKFC) accordingly invites applications for the position of external member of The National Lottery Community Fund’s Climate Action Fund Decision Panel.

Background

The Fund is the largest funder of community activity in the UK. It launched the Climate Action Fund in 2019 as a long-term commitment to support communities across the UK to act on climate change and involve more people in positive environmental action. Since its launch the Climate Action Fund has awarded over £182m to communities across the UK. This includes over 175 larger projects, predominantly delivered through partnership approaches and over 440 small grants that were delivered through Together for Our Planet, a funding programme in support of COP26. The programme has always had a test and learn ethos and each strand of funding has built on learning to date.

In January 2026 the Climate Action Fund launched a new strand of funding - Food Systems, focusing on strengthening food systems across the UK, while reducing food insecurity for people and communities, without harming the planet. It will achieve this through supporting partnerships that can deliver long term solutions and transformational systems change. Funding will enable large and long term interventions with the capacity and time to deliver progress against their intended aims and ambitions. We will support agroecological approaches which work with nature to create resilient, sustainable and equitable food systems. Projects can apply for a minimum of £2.5 million over three years, and we expect to fund up to ten projects in the first year. More information about funding aims and criteria can be found in Annex A (attached).

Through the Climate Action Fund we support projects based in all four countries of the UK and a combination of place based, cross country, regional, national and UK wide.

Role Specification

The Climate Action Fund is seeking a subject matter expert in food systems, who will complement our existing panel and support our work across the UK. They will have an understanding of the holistic aims we seek to address in supporting long term solutions that will have benefits for both climate, environment and nature, and to people and communities.

The Climate Action Fund Decision Panel has delegated authority from the UK Funding Committee (UKFC) to make funding decisions on Climate Action Fund Programmes.

The purpose of the Climate Action Fund Decision Panel is to make funding decisions, review the performance of the Climate Action Fund portfolio, and make recommendations where appropriate to UKFC. Funding decisions shall be taken in the context of the UKFC Delegation and shall undertake its duties within the framework of overall National Lottery Community Fund policy and procedures.

 Person Specification

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the food system across the UK, with a particular focus on agroecology and long term, systemic ways to strengthen our food system and reduce food insecurity for people and communities.
• The ability and skill to contribute effectively to the development of this strand of funding and wider work of The Fund in relation to food systems, with a strong track record of achievement in this area. 
• Ability to work on a Panel with excellent interpersonal, team working, communication and representational skills.

Complaints Disciplinary Panel

Role Description

Purpose of the Role

To be part of a Panel Pool, from which Disciplinary Panels will be convened by the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIOF) Professional Conduct Committee.

To consider complaints with reference to the CIOF Member Code of Conduct and the Code of Behaviour at events, consistent with the CIOF Complaints & Disciplinary Rules. 

Accountability

Panels will be convened as needed by the Professional Conduct Committee.  Panel Pool members are appointed to a Panel by the Committee. 

Panel decisions must follow the CIOF Complaints & Disciplinary Rules, including definitions, scope, procedures, and available sanctions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Review case files, investigation reports, submissions, and evidence in advance of hearings. 
• Participate in hearings (virtual or in person), ensuring parties are treated fairly and respectfully. 
• Assess evidence against the CIOF Member Code of Conduct, CIOF Code of Behaviour at Events and Training, and any other relevant provisions, such as findings of the Fundraising Regulator. 
• Determine findings of fact and whether standards/rules have been breached. Where appropriate, apply appropriate sanctions per the Complaints and Disciplinary Rules, considering proportionality and precedent. 
• Provide clear, reasoned written outcomes and recommendations, mindful of publication protocols and confidentiality. 
• Maintain strict confidentiality.

Person Specification

Essential

• An understanding of the UK fundraising sector.

Time Commitment

Time will be needed to prepare for and attend Panel meetings, in addition to attending training.

The number of Disciplinary Panels required will depend on the number and nature of the complaints received. It is possible that Panel Pool members will not be required to attend any Panel meetings.

Term & status

Appointment is to the Panel pool for a fixed term of three years, renewable once by agreement, with allocation to specific Panels on a case-by-case basis. 

Full training will be provided.

Remuneration

This is an independent contractor role. Panel members will be remunerated for their time spent on Panel activity, including training, at a daily rate of £300 per day.

Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed in line with CIoF policy.

Overview

This pivotal position involves leading compliance across public fundraising activities, ensuring the organisation maintains sector-leading standards, and teams are trained to the highest standards on regulations and fundraising compliance. 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and advise on compliance standards for all public fundraising activities
• Develop and deliver training programmes to elevate sector-wide best practice in fundraising compliance.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to charity regulations, aligning internal policies with external regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with fundraising teams to manage agency relationships, KPIs, and compliance issues.
• Support the organisation's aim to be sector leading, maintaining a zero-risk posture and high standards of ethical practice.

Person Specification

• Proven experience in fundraising compliance, supporter care, or regulatory roles within charitable organisations.
• Knowledge of fundraising methods, including face-to-face, lottery, and direct dialogue campaigns.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting charity fundraising, such as the Charity Commission guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to deliver training and advise diverse teams.
• Ability to work autonomously, share best practices, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

The Vacancy

We are looking for a strategic and proactive Institutional Funding Manager with significant experience managing complex relationships with large institutional donors and securing high value funding in the humanitarian and development sector. You will be a strong relationship manager and confident leading ambitious seven and eight figure funding opportunities from early positioning and donor engagement through to proposal development, negotiation and award management. 

Working closely with global programme, finance and operational teams, you will play a central role in shaping innovative and compelling proposals that support locally led crisis response and anticipation around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse global network, influence strategic donor partnerships and help grow a major international funding portfolio.

Job Purpose

Start Network is looking for an Institutional Funding Manager who is strategic, ambitious, and a great team player. You will work with the Head of Resource Mobilisation to set and deliver a strategy to maximise our institutional funding portfolio to grow and sustain our income over the coming year (current portfolio size of £30million+). This role will be key to enabling Start Network to deliver on its strategy, and the postholder will have the opportunity to engage across all areas of Start Network’s programmes. The Institutional Fundraising Manager will be responsible for securing and overseeing significant levels of income from institutional sources for Start Network’s work globally, including working with programmes teams on project development and the preparation of high-value proposals for institutional donors (narrative, budgets, monitoring frameworks and other technical documents). The postholder will be expected to work at both an operational and strategic level, managing their own portfolio of donors (such as FCDO), securing new business from scratch, and providing Start Network with tactical direction on donor outreach and compliance.

Over the period of the contract, we are especially looking for someone who is comfortable and experienced in finding new institutional donors, leveraging current contacts and networks, and pitching and presenting new opportunities. 

Currently, we receive funding from multiple European governments and FCDO so experience with these funders would be critical for this role.

Salary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop fundraising compliance activity across the charity, helping to ensure fundraising is delivered safely, ethically and in line with regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with fundraising teams and external agencies to quality assure activity and promote high standards across supporter communications and experiences.
• Monitor, analyse and report on complaints, risks and trends—using insight to identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen supporter confidence.
• Produce clear and effective reports for senior stakeholders, including the Fundraising Leadership Team and Trustees.
• Develop and maintain practical guidance, resources and tools that help teams feel informed, supported and empowered to deliver compliant fundraising activity.

• Understanding of Gambling Commission legislation in relation to charity lotteries.
• Good understanding of GDPR and data protection requirements.
• Experience producing reports and presenting information clearly for different audiences.
• Experience delivering training, guidance or support that helps build confidence and capability.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and practically.
• A collaborative and solutions-focused approach, with sound judgement and attention to detail.
