The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Legacy and Individual Giving Officer to help grow and develop our individual giving and legacy income streams.

You will plan, deliver and evaluate inspiring fundraising activity, build long‑term relationships with supporters, and provide excellent donor stewardship. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how supporters engage with — and feel connected to — the Orpheus Centre.

Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Reports to: Deputy Head of Fundraising

 Key responsibilities 

• Plan and deliver engaging individual giving appeals across multiple channels
• Develop and manage regular giving and donor stewardship journeys to increase loyalty and lifetime value
• Lead on all aspects of legacy fundraising, including promoting gifts in wills and administering legacy cases
• Build strong relationships with supporters, case studies and internal stakeholders
• Develop and nurture a mid‑value donor programme, working closely with senior fundraising colleagues
• Create new and innovative channels of giving, including In Memory and Celebration Giving
• Manage individual giving and legacy budgets and track performance
• Use Salesforce CRM to manage data, analyse performance and produce reports
• Ensure Gift Aid claims are accurate and processed in a timely manner 

About you 

You will be an organised and confident fundraiser with a passion for building relationships and telling compelling stories.

You will have:

• At least 3 years’ experience delivering fundraising or supporter‑focused projects
• Experience of using databases/CRMs and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• An understanding of fundraising regulations, including Gift Aid and GDPR 

Desirable:

• Experience in individual giving and/or legacy fundraising

Duties and key responsibilities

Financial Administration and Bookkeeping

• Responsibility for maintaining all financial records and data accurately and within agreed systems, to include:Maintaining up-to-date records in Sage 50.
• Importing bank receipts into Sage from Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Processing purchase invoices, card transactions, and payments, ensuring correct coding to nominal and departmental ledgers.
• Maintaining payment records and reconciling grant payments within Sage 50 and grant management software.
• Generating sales invoices and carrying out credit control on a regular basis.
• Ensuring prompt payment of invoices and preparing payments with the bank for review by the Director of Finance & Resources.
• Maintaining the expense management system in line with policies and ensuring timely authorisation and reimbursement.
• Ensuring accurate records of authorisation and financial approvals.
• Preparing and posting all month-end journals.
• Completing monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts.
• Working with the Database and Finance Officer to reconcile income between Sage 50 and the income spreadsheet on a quarterly basis.

Budget Management

• Supporting the preparation of the annual Excel-based organisational budget and quarterly forecasts.

• Assisting project managers with the preparation of Excel-based project budgets.

Audit

Preparation for the annual audit and compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements, including:

• Preparing audit documentation and working papers in collaboration with the Director of Finance & Resources.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for auditors, coordinating documentation requests before and during audit week.

Other

• Ensuring financial policies and processes remain fit for purpose, recommending and implementing improvements where needed.

• Carrying out any other duties reasonably required to support the effective financial management of Sarcoma UK.

The Community Support Worker will contribute to the delivery of our LGBTQ+ youth provision supporting young people aged 13+ (and some pre-teens):

Specific Duties and responsibilities

• Work with an intensive caseload of approximately 12 young people maintaining regular contact, through arranged appointments, offering information, advice and guidance, practical support and encouragement.
• Maintain accurate and up to date written client database records and complete all admin tasks within required timeframes.
• Support clients to identify their strengths, interests, areas they would like to improve and barriers to progression, in order to develop their personalised action plan.
• Support clients to increase their self-esteem, become more resilient and improve their aspirations.
• Utilise the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Tool and Free2B tools, to monitor progression.
• Develop and deliver ‘safe space’ forums in schools, providing suitable group work activities (this may be alongside school staff or leading on your own).

The Philharmonia Orchestra is seeking a talented and driven Trusts and Foundations Co-ordinator to help the Development team deliver growing, sustainable fundraised income. Working closely with an experienced senior grant-writer, the Trusts and Foundations Co-ordinator will steward existing funders and develop funding applications for:

• Our programme of 150 concerts a year, including landmark multi-disciplinary concert series; 

• Our award-winning Learning & Engagement projects that engage over 15,000 people annually;

• Our talent development programme through which we help improve representation in the talent pipeline;

• Our sector-leading visionary digital and immersive technology programme including our multi-award winning and globally recognised Virtual Orchestra (VR) immersive experiences.

This role will suit someone ready to move on from an entry-level position within a Development team, keen to work in a fast-paced environment, and enthusiastic about taking on their own set of fundraising targets and application deliverables. It is an opportunity for an enthusiastic fundraiser to work within an experienced, inspiring team, to work closely with and learn from one of the most experienced trusts and foundations fundraisers in our sector, and to play a transformative role in a thriving orchestra that on the occasion of its 80th anniversary is already looking ahead to Philharmonia at 100.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

The primary responsibilities of the Trusts and Foundations Co-ordinator are fundraising from and stewarding Trusts and Foundations, achieved by undertaking the following tasks:

1. Delivering the Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy, with a particular focus on:

• Identification and cultivation:

• Producing lists of prospects to share with the Development Board, via the Director of Development.

• Identifying opportunities for cultivation at projects, events and concerts.

• Application development:

• Responsibility for developing small to mid-range Trust, Foundation and statutory applications up to £25,000 including copy development, application budget creation (using signed-off source budgets), and sign-offs from project manager and line manager.

• Maintaining a strong momentum of application submissions, aiming to fundraise a year ahead of project delivery where possible.

• Collaborating with Development colleagues to agree stewarding responsibilities, review prospects, report on Trust & Foundation income vs. targets and identify prospects whose giving objectives align with the Philharmonia’s work.

• Working closely with colleagues in the Learning & Engagement, Concerts and Marketing departments to build strong, collaborative working relationships in order to source project information to support the development of funding bids.

• Stewarding

• Ensuring timely report development and submission, to maximise re-application rates.

• Ownership of accurate and comprehensive Trust, Foundation and Statutory accreditation in all collateral and online.

• Proactive and consistent conduit between prospects and the Philharmonia, managing invitations to supported projects and ensuring consistent, warm and professional relationship management.

2 Ensuring efficient administration of Trusts and Foundations fundraising, including:

• Managing all Trusts and Foundations pledges and grants on our CRM Tessitura, and ensuring data capture and processing is in line with GDPR and other privacy laws.

• Population and updating of Trusts and Foundations submissions, stewarding and reporting tracker.

• Accurate records of all correspondence held in SharePoint.

Other tasks include

• Representing the Philharmonia externally when required. 

• Undertaking any other duties reasonably required by the Philharmonia.

This integral role will provide high-quality administrative, compliance and organisational support across the charity. The Operations Officer will support day-to-day operations, ensuring strong governance, accurate record keeping and systems efficiency all of which will allow the delivery of CHEER’s client and volunteer services.Training will be offered where required (eg: compliance, DBS checking, charity governance).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. CRM management (Beacon) 

• Ensure the charity’s CRM is accurate, up to date and used consistently across the team. 

• Conduct regular spot checks and data quality reviews. 

• Support the transition to CRM-driven reporting. 

• Develop and maintain CRM admin processes, templates and documentation (including user guide). 

2. Governance, compliance & policy administration

4. Memberships, subscriptions & Organisational admin 

• Monitor charity memberships, renewals, insurances, subscriptions, storage costs, licences, software and service contracts. 

• Maintain a central register of renewal dates and ensure timely payments. 

• Support procurement of equipment, supplies and services. 

5. Meeting coordination & minute taking 

• Manage meeting schedules, invitations, and logistics for:

Our Fundraising Assistant will provide key administrative support to the Fundraising Team. Being based primarily at our Shrewsbury office, this person will be a key point of contact for our supporters in the office, and will assist with managing online fundraising platforms, email and phone communications and ensuring fundraising materials are ready and waiting to go out into the community.

This person will also work closely with our Operations Team, ensuring that they have the information they need to process donations accurately, and that our valued supporters are thanked in a timely manner. They will form part of a rota with Operations colleagues to ensure all Reception desks are staffed as required.

They will be friendly, able to communicate well with people across the community, including those living with cancer or who are bereaved. They will also be collaborative, detail-focussed and willing to work with others to solve problems.

We are looking for someone to work 22.5 hours per week; this can be worked in a flexible pattern as agreed, within office hours and across at least three working days. This role can be worked within school hours across five days if required. We are seeking an experienced, community-minded Office Manager / Mentor to join us three days per week. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong organisational and systems-building skills with a genuine passion for helping young people grow.

You’ll ensure our office runs efficiently by maintaining and improving admin systems, supporting project delivery and strengthening our communication with partners, parents and governance structures. Alongside these operational duties, you’ll also play a supportive mentoring role guiding young people joining Voyage for placements and work experience, modelling professionalism and helping them develop workplace confidence whilst imparting your knowledge.

Main Responsibilities

· Assisting the CEO and the Executive Team Members in the development and delivery of the Society’s many activities and projects to ensure all tasks are being completed within timelines, effectively and to high standards

· Supporting the Conferences and Events Manager in the development and running of an extensive programme of network events and workshops, and the Society’s annual conference

· Promoting the Society and its events on social media platforms including LinkedIn, Bluesky, and X

· Scheduling meetings, organising papers, and some note/minute taking, as required

· Ensuring all actions are recorded and completed following Meetings of the Board of Trustees and standing committee and working group meetings.

· Developing an understanding of the Society’s CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems and managing related data.

· Ensuring the SRHE website is kept up to date, in liaison with other team members

· Providing quality customer service for members and external contacts

Qualifications, skills and experience

You will need to demonstrate that you possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

· Demonstrable experience in a team support role or an administrative assistant role

· Excellent organisation and administration skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Good numeracy skills

· Excellent knowledge/application of office IT systems (Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)

· Familiarity with website maintenance and basic website management

· Managing, maintaining and manipulating databases

· Preferred education is to undergraduate level with an interest in higher education provision

The role of the Operations Officer (Licensing and Compliance) is to support the development, coordination and delivery of Licensing and Compliance processes and procedures across the Association.

The Operations Officer (Licensing and Compliance) will support the Senior Licensing and Compliance Manager and other members of the Operations Team to ensure that, through the consistent and proactive use of standards, policies and quality assurance processes, backed up by effective licensing, the intellectual property and good reputation of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is effectively protected.

The role will work closely with Operations Directors, Operations Managers and the Foundation Finance Team to support licensing of Operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing, in liaison with relevant Operations Team colleagues, new licence applications from Independent Award Centres (IACs), including due diligence and database management.
• Lead on the management of the IAC Compliance Check schedule and surrounding processes including regular communications with relevant Operations Managers.
• Coordinate the ongoing compliance management process for IACs.
• Provide support to the Senior Licensing & Compliance Manager with processes related to the compliance for National Award Operators (NAOs) and Operating Partners (OPs).
• Support the Senior Licensing and Compliance Manager with issuing of and drafting correspondence in relation to all licence documentation (terminations, licence extensions, agreements and certificates etc).
• Support the Senior Licensing and Compliance Manager to disseminate information regarding licensing and quality assurance processes to Foundation colleagues, and to the wider Association when appropriate.
• Support with ad hoc projects, as required.

This important role supports the operational delivery of the charity’s busy events programme and supports the team and running the office.

The events programme is diverse - from drinks receptions and report launches to events at agricultural shows across the UK - and support on administration for the wider charity, including some communications activity. Through these events, we drive awareness of our work supporting family farms and rural communities. In doing so we also garner support from funders to tackle the issues facing the countryside, ensuring our work reaches a diverse audience to raise awareness.

Under the direction of the Head of External Affairs, and with support of the wider staff team, you will be responsible for coordinating and running all the charity’s events, including full administrative support, booking venues, the invitation process and guest lists, organisation of collateral (including marketing and promotional information), catering arrangements and researching and inviting speakers. You will be also ensuring effective follow-up to each event such as wider dissemination of event content, evaluation, and reporting.

Working on events will account for approximately 75% of the role. The remaining time will be spent working across the charity undertaking a variety of administrative tasks. This will include supporting the team with mailings, coordination of specific activities and some general office management. Whilst reporting to the Head of External Affairs, this role will work closely with several team members, particularly the Executive Support & Governance Manager, providing a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of different aspects of the charity’s work.

What we are looking for

This is an important role, and we’d like you to have a sound working knowledge of end-to-end event management and office experience within a charity or other professional environment.  To be successful you will be required to demonstrate a confident attitude supported by good written and verbal communication skills.  You must be comfortable using Microsoft office suite, events management platforms and our CRM system (currently Salesforce). You will be able to manage your time and prioritise your workload.  An ability to engage with a wide range of people is also advantageous. Most of all is the desire to provide first class customer service.

This position requires you to be a reliable individual with a detailed, methodical and organised approach who can work independently as well as part of a team. You will enjoy detail and managing data, all this supported by an interest in our work and the desire to develop a successful programme of events. You must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
