ROLE PURPOSE:

This role sits at the heart of our Philanthropy and Partnerships team and is essential to making ShelterBox's life-saving work possible. You'll help us build and nurture relationships with major donors, corporate partners, trusts, and foundations - ensuring every supporter feels connected, valued, and inspired by the impact they make.

No two days will be the same. You'll coordinate tailored communications, events, and stewardship activities that bring donors closer to our mission. You'll keep our systems and processes running smoothly and support everything from emergency appeals and prospect research to crafting compelling proposals and coordinating engagement opportunities. Every task you take on will help families receive emergency shelter when disaster strikes.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

· Deliver exceptional stewardship: Support the creation and delivery of tailored communication and engagement plans that make high-value partners and supporters feel connected to ShelterBox and inspired to continue their support.

· Lead on donor communications: Coordinate, write, and design our monthly newsletter for major donors and partners, ensuring it is informative and engaging.

· Support emergency appeals: Assist in producing timely, compelling communications during emergency responses, connecting them directly to ShelterBox's impact.

· Prospect research: Work with the Stewardship and Research Officer to identify and research potential new partners and donors.

· Event coordination: Help plan and deliver engagement events for high-level audiences, ensuring memorable experiences for attendees.

· Corporate engagement: Assist the Corporate Partnerships Officer in delivering unique engagement products for corporate partners, such as our .

· Trust fundraising: Support the Trusts and Foundations Manager with writing proposals for smaller trusts, bringing ShelterBox's work to life for potential supporters.

· Data and CRM management: Keep our CRM database (Microsoft Dynamics) accurate and up to date, manage data cleaning, and ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations.

· Process improvement: Maintain and update team processes to ensure efficiency and best practice.

· Insight and reporting: Work with the Stewardship and Research Officer to gather and analyse data on fundraising performance and donor experience.

· Financial processes: Ensure finance and procurement tasks are completed accurately and on time.

· Compliance and learning: Stay up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice and seek opportunities for peer learning and development.

· Professional communication: Handle correspondence and communicate confidently with supporters by phone, email, and in person.

· Team collaboration: Provide general administrative support and foster strong relationships across the Philanthropy and Partnerships team and wider organisation.

About the Role

The Team and Events Assistant will play a critical role in the delivery of a successful fundraising programme. Reporting to the Special Events Manager, the role will provide fantastic exposure and experience across a successful philanthropy programme and wider events calendar. This is happening at an extremely exciting time for the charity as we are in the midst of two capital campaigns for two new ground breaking hospitals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, providing administrative support and coordinating diaries, meetings and committee activities.
• Maintain and update CRM records, ensuring accurate data management, reporting and event administration.
• Coordinate financial processes, including purchase orders, invoices and budget-related administration.
• Support the planning and delivery of a diverse programme of fundraising, stewardship and special events.
• Manage event logistics, including invitations, RSVPs, guest communications, materials, supplier liaison and venue arrangements.
• Provide on-site event support, including registration, set-up, pack-down and stakeholder engagement.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a support role. This could include supporting various teams in general administration, events management or the fundraising function within and charity.

The postholder will work closely with the Philanthropy Support Lead to provide operational support and administration for the team, including events, donor meetings and visits, mailings, prospect research, data and use of the charity CRM (Salesforce).

About the role

Harris Hill has an exciting opportunity for an Events Assistant to join a national charity, supporting the delivery of an up and coming event , taking place in September. 

This role is 2 days per week, starting the week of the 27th July ideally, with an initial day or so in the office, then working remotely.

The events itself already has an venue and a first batch of invitations have been sent. Your role will be to arrange steering group meetings and administration, takings notes, and minutes, arrange pre and post events communications,  manage logistics with events venue and make arrangement, support event day set up, registrations, and attendee management on the day. 

The client is looking for a suitable candidate, who is happy to just get stuck in, who has previous experience of supporting the planning and delivery of in person events. You will have strong administration and communications skills, experience of scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and updating systems such as the CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, although others are fine too.

Can Do is a start-up using digital technology to create social change. We work across addiction, mental health, homelessness, poverty and justice to help people access and navigate support. We are small, practical, and focused on building something that works for people facing disadvantage.

THE ROLE

This role supports founder Mark Johnson with day-to-day organisation, preparation, communication, and follow-up. It is a hands-on role and could be suited to someone early in their career who wants an opportunity to grow, learn, and be part of building something from the ground up. You will help bring order, structure, and clarity to a fast-moving environment.

This is a development role with real responsibility. You will handle communications, organise information, prepare materials, conduct basic research, and make sure Mark has what he needs to stay up to date and move projects forward.

· Research: Collect short summaries, stats, and key information about our sector (addiction, mental health, homelessness, poverty, justice)

· Fundraising and bids: Assist with drafting, formatting, and preparing proposals and applications

· Documentation: Prepare simple business cases, summaries, or briefing papers

· Operations: Support basic bookkeeping tasks, receipts, and expense organisation

· Learning and development: Take on a variety of new tasks as skills grow

About the role

As New Partnerships Lead, you will lead our New Partnerships Team (x4 Senior Managers and x2 Managers) and develop an ambitious strategy to significantly grow our portfolio of high-value, strategic corporate partnerships. You’ll inspire and motivate your team to identify, pitch and secure large-scale partnerships that drive income and impact.

You will represent Macmillan and influence board-level decisions, opening doors to new opportunities and strengthening our presence across corporate networks. Your leadership will ensure we deliver bold, compelling propositions that demonstrate the difference companies can make when they partner with us.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a strategy that significantly grows income, impact and acquisition of new partnerships.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team to meet or exceed annual income targets.
• Identify and secure high-value, strategic partnership opportunities that align with both Macmillan’s mission and corporate partners’ objectives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration across Macmillan to maximise the value and impact of partnerships.
• Ensure effective pipeline management and prioritise opportunities with the greatest strategic fit and financial value
• Work as part of the Corporate Partnerships leadership team to achieve the wider team strategy.
• Use data and insight to manage performance, strengthen propositions and prioritise opportunities.
• Represent Macmillan to senior and board‑level stakeholders to influence decisions and secure new partnerships.
• Build Macmillan’s profile across corporate networks, staying ahead of trends, market developments and competitor activity.

About you

You are an inspiring team leader with a strong track record of securing substantial partnerships or accounts. You bring commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability, with experience of influencing at senior levels.

You will have:

• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing resilient and high‑performing teams.
• Experience developing and delivering strategies to secure large‑scale, long‑term income (£2m plus per annum desirable) within the charity or commercial sector.
• A high level of personal presence and confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including C‑suite and board‑level audiences.
• Experience using data and insight to drive fundraising or sales effectiveness.
• A track record of innovating and challenging the status quo to achieve growth.
• Ability to identify opportunities for partnerships and propositions to deliver strategic objectives beyond income.
• Experience in budget planning and forecasting.
• A passion for Macmillan’s mission and the impact corporate partnerships can make.
