Reporting to the Head of Fundraising Strategy, and as part of a positive, ambitious and forward-thinking Fundraising Leadership Team, you'll lead the development and coordination of campaign and appeal planning, setting clear frameworks and priorities that support effective delivery. You'll oversee multiple, complex workstreams, ensuring strong governance, clear decision making and timely progress. About the Sickle Cell Society (SCS)
The Sickle Cell Society (SCS) is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder. We provide information, advice and support to enable people to improve their overall quality of life. Over 18,500 people in the UK have a sickle cell disorder, an inherited condition that predominantly affects people of Black African and Black Caribbean heritage; and to a lesser extent people of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, South Asian and Central/South American heritage.
Job Purpose:
To assist the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of the Sickle Cell Society’s (SCS) Fundraising Strategy and on-going development to achieve its fundraising priorities and targets. We are looking for an ambitious, energetic corporate fundraiser to join our Fundraising Team. You will be a compelling and engaging communicator who can work at all levels of the organisation to cultivate and develop the relationships that will enable the Ri to achieve its mission. You will be skilled in securing new business and a strong account manager managing a portfolio of corporate supporters at different stages – from prospecting through to pitching, contracts negotiation and partnerships renewal.

You must be comfortable working with a small team but also successful in working with sponsors in a corporate setting. You should also be able to identify and meet sponsor needs, drawing on creativity and problem-solving skills to offer tailored sponsorship propositions. You will have a varied portfolio of sponsors from day one - strong presentation and communication skills are essential.

Job Purpose
The Director of Fundraising & Partnerships is accountable for leading the vision, strategy and performance of Habitat GB’s fundraising, partnerships, engagement and resource mobilisation activity.
This role combines senior‑level engagement and income generation leadership with organisational and strategic responsibility. The postholder will design and deliver ambitious, sustainable income and partnership strategies; strengthen Habitat GB’s profile and positioning; and lead a high‑performing, values‑led team.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Fundraising & Partnerships plays a key role in organisational leadership, transformation, and long‑term sustainability, working collaboratively across Habitat GB, the international Habitat network and with a wide range of external partners. This role has 4 direct reports, and an overall team of 10.
