Join the Iona Community as our Financial Administration Team Leader, a pivotal role overseeing the day-to-day operations of our finance department. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial processes, supporting the wider organisation and reporting directly to the Head of Community Resources.

We are looking for someone self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently and as part of a team, experienced in using Xero, with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management.

Key Responsibilities include

• Lead the daily operations of the finance administration function
• Support weekly, monthly and year-end processing and reports
• Support for annual audit, respond to queries and collate documentation
• Assist with annual budgeting and provide budget spend reports to senior managers
• Oversee processing of sales ledger, purchase ledger, expenses and monthly journal inputs
• Assist in filing financial, regulatory and legal information with statutory bodies as and when required
• Supervisory responsibility for the Finance Administration Assistant.

The opportunity

This is a broad Senior Administrator position which plays a pivotal role in supporting CA’s financial and operational functions.

This position is heavily focused on finance administration, including managing accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with internal procedures.

In addition to finance responsibilities, you will provide general vital administrative support to the wider staff team’s day-to-day office administration tasks including overseeing health and safety, property & estates and facilitating the relationship with have with our residents.

About you

Essential criteria:

· Proven experience in a financial or finance-focused administrative role

· Experience of maintaining accurate financial records, including income, expenditure, and reconciliations

· Experience facilitating monthly payroll

· Experience working to deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

The Role

​

The Careers Adviser will travel across East Sussex Regions to a broad range of school and college settings, delivering creative and inclusive Personal Careers Guidance, as well as assemblies and drop-in sessions as required.

Each student and each learning environment will be unique, so the opportunity lends itself well to candidates who enjoy traveling and working in varied locations, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and educating people of all abilities.

You will routinely liaise with Careers Leaders and senior school/ college staff to arrange and deliver activities for students during the school day. Whilst most delivery will take place between 8:30am and 4pm, travel before and after these times will be required and occasional attendance at parents’ and options evenings will also be required, but you will be given time off in lieu where this is applicable.

We will be holding interviews during the week commencing the 13th April at our office in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

Working as part of our friendly Operations Team, you will undertake a range of administrative and support duties to ensure the smooth running of Citizens Advice Southwark. The post holder will be office-based working between our Peckham and Walworth sites according to operational needs, and at other locations within the Borough of Southwark.

You will need:

• Experience of providing administrative support in a busy organisation and ability to maintain office systems
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office programs and a willingness to learn and use other software packages as needed
• Ability to work on own initiative to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines
• Excellent written communication skills to produce correspondence, reports, minutes and publicity materials
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide cross section of the public.
• An understanding of and commitment to the Aims and Principles of the Citizens Advice Service including the service’s Equal Opportunities policies

The role

As Legal Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting Foxglove’s lawyers and the external law firms with whom we partner, providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support across all strands of our work including complex and high profile human rights and environmental cases.

The role will suit someone who has provided administrative support for a legal team before but that previous experience is not crucial. Being detail oriented, energetic and socially driven is more important to us. 

Job Description

• Supporting the management of our legal projects and cases 
• Logistical and general administrative planning 
• Using a range of databases and software to ensure information and documents are stored securely, in the right place, and in line with confidentiality and data protection obligations 
• Managing deadlines and case documentation
• Tracking completion of actions and ensuring timely responses
• Maintaining and updating master case lists
• Liaising with counsel and other stakeholders
• General secretarial and administrative support 

Person specification

• An interest in tech-justice and Foxglove’s work

• Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to fundraising activity across multiple income streams
