About the Role

As Grants and Information Officer, you will play a central role in delivering our services. You will manage grant applications from initial assessment through to decision and award, contribute to committee processes, and support the wider operations of the charity.

Key Details

• Reporting to: CEO
• Hours: Part-time (21 hours per week)
• Working pattern: Flexible and hybrid working available (minimum one day per week in the office, typically Thursday)

Key Responsibilities

Casework

• Manage applications from initial assessment through to committee review
• Liaise with beneficiaries and maintain accurate, confidential records
• Prepare agendas and take minutes for committee meetings
• Signpost applicants to other appropriate sources of support

Finance

• Administer grants within agreed limits
• Arrange payments to beneficiaries and service providers
• Support audit processes

Grants Management System

• Maintain and update the grants database (Benefactor)
• Produce reports and review system content as required

Administration & Resources

• Update and maintain internal resources, including application forms, guidance, and standard communications
• Support website content updates
• Maintain standard operating procedures
• Provide general office administration support

Additional Duties

• Attend and support the AGM and other organisational meetings
• Represent the charity externally when required
• Support the CEO with fundraising strategy and policy development
• Undertake other duties as required in a small team environment

About You

You will be:

• Educated to degree level
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experienced in working with databases and updating websites
• Familiar with fundraising applications and/or the charity sector (ideally benevolent funds or welfare services)
• Knowledgeable about the UK statutory benefits system
• Familiar with accounting software such as Xero or Dext (desirable)
• Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a small team

About the role

This Operations & Administration Coordinator role is a diverse and hands-on role, covering a wide range of tasks and responsibilities that are essential to the smooth, efficient running of the organisation. It's a part-time position for three days (21 hours) a week.

You will provide day‑to‑day operational coordination across IT systems, office management, finance administration and HR processes, alongside varied administrative support. Acting as a central point of contact, you will work closely with colleagues, external suppliers and advisors to ensure our working environment, systems, policies and processes are practical, compliant and support staff to do their best work.

The role works with all staff and external suppliers, particularly the Resilience Strategy Lead, Finance Officer, CEO and external IT support providers.

Young Peoples’ Careers Service

CXK is the lead provider of Personal Careers Guidance to young people in schools and specialist centres across Kent & Medway, where we provide independent Personal Careers Guidance, via our CXK Young Peoples’ Careers Service.

We provide this through a variety of creative and innovative approaches:  

 

The Team

We are a diverse and welcoming team of advisers, who use a wide variety of creative methods to deliver personalised, client centred, personal careers guidance, ranging from one-to-one sessions through to group guidance, parents and options evenings, as well as focused talks and assemblies. We have minimal admin and keep our clients’ experience central to what we do, providing an inclusive service with individualised action plans, including the use of visual career maps, career cards and white boards, alongside more traditional approaches where appropriate.

We follow the CDI code of ethics and best practice for Action Planning (which names and recognises CXKs innovative work in this area):

The team is led by Chris Targett RCDP, who alongside his work at CXK, is the current Chair of the Careers Writers Association and co-author of the recently released Career Development and Inclusive Practice book, published by Trotman Publishing in partnership with the CDI.

The team is small but impactful. Feedback from our young people, that tell us about what our students valued regards our services:

• Helping young people understand their next steps
• Helping young people understand the options and careers choices they have
• Helping young people to know where to access further help, information, or support

The Role

The Careers Advisers will cover one or more of the following regions: Medway, West Kent and Mid Kent to a broad range of school and college settings, delivering creative and inclusive Personal Careers Guidance, as well as assemblies and drop-in sessions as required. 

Each student and each learning environment will be unique, so the opportunity lends itself well to candidates who enjoy traveling and working in varied locations, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and educating people of all abilities.

You will routinely liaise with Careers Leaders and senior school/ college staff to arrange and deliver activities for students during the school day. Whilst most delivery will take place between 8:30am and 4pm, travel before and after these times will be required and occasional attendance at parents’ and options evenings will also be required, but you will be given time off in lieu where this is applicable.

We would require you to work five days-a-week, term time only, with a pro rata holiday entitlement. If you would prefer part-time only employment (minimum of three days a week), this can be negotiated.

Minimum Criteria

• Level 6 qualification (or above) in Careers Guidance Qualification (or equivalent
• Knowledge of Post 16 and Post 18 education and training routes for young people with and without additional needs and disabilities

• Experience of delivering careers, education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) in schools / colleges and face-to-face with young people

This is frontline leadership at its most real. As Team Managers in Camden’s Rough Sleeping Outreach Service, you’ll lead from the front of a service that meets people where they are — on the streets, in hotspots and through the hub — building trust, responding quickly and helping people move towards safety and stability.

That means overseeing outreach activity, shaping how the team responds to changing demand, and making sure people aren’t passed around but supported through a joined-up, No Wrong Door approach. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in coordinating Camden’s response to severe weather, working with partners to act quickly when it matters most.

No waiting around, no dead ends just clear, coordinated next steps.

Here at the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital Charity we fund, facilitate and champion world-class specialists to transform the lives of heart and lung patients. We provide clinicians, academics and researchers across London and beyond with the funding and resources they need to understand more, prevent more and treat more.

Our funding comes from the fundraising efforts of thousands of supporters as well as income generated by our investments in property and equity markets. We currently grant around £6 million each year – but we want to do more. 

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to play a central role in supporting the delivery of our HR and Operations functions.  This position is vital to ensure that all activity is recorded accurately,  that systems run smoothly and stakeholders receive an exceptional level of support.

You will be responsible for supporting the Charity's HR processes throughout the lifecycle of employees, sourcing and booking training and contributing to various HR and operations projects. In addition, you'll act as a point of contact for operational issues across the charity’s two sites (Chelsea and Harefield), ensuring safe, well-managed, and well-supplied working environments.

You'll be an experienced administrator with a strong understanding of office systems and processes. You'll bring excellent coordination and organisational skills, communicate clearly and confidently, and build effective working relationships across multiple workstreams. Comfortable juggling competing priorities, you will take a practical, solutions-focused approach and follow tasks through to completion.
