Background

Pesticide Action Network UK (PAN UK) is the only charity in the UK focused solely on tackling the problems caused by pesticides and promoting safe and sustainable alternatives in agriculture, urban areas, homes and gardens. It is an independent, non-profit organisation, which works nationally and internationally to eliminate the use of the most hazardous pesticides, reduce dependence on pesticides overall, and to increase the adoption of sustainable alternatives to chemical pest control.

Our Head of Policy & Campaigns leads our work in the UK which aims to better protect both the environment and human health from pesticide harms. Through policy work, lobbying, research, media and strategic communications, we aim to influence a range of decision makers, from the UK government and devolved administrations to local councils and the country’s biggest supermarkets. The role also includes working alongside PAN UK’s Director to secure funding to cover the UK team’s salaries, overheads and activities. It is an incredibly varied role, involving everything from leading on strategy development for the UK team while also being intricately involved in writing and editing publications and executing other activities such as events and mobilising the public.

The Head of Policy & Campaigns is part of PAN UK’s Senior Management Team (along with our Director, Head of Finance and Governance and Head of International Programmes) which sets the direction of the organisation and ensures it is well-managed and delivering on our mission. 

Specific responsibilities

1.       Advocacy, policy and campaigning

• Lead the UK team in developing advocacy strategies, and fully utilising opportunities to make progress towards achieving PAN UK’s mission.

• Conduct high quality research and analysis aimed at influencing decision makers. Ensure it is presented in a way which is both technically accurate and compelling.

• Develop and/or maintain expertise in pesticide policy with the aim of being able to represent PAN UK credibly in a range of external fora.

• Build relationships with a wide range of decision makers including government ministers and civil servants, parliamentarians, devolved administrations, local councils and supermarkets.

• Ensure that the organisation’s policy positions on UK pesticide issues are clear, well thought out and will lead to positive change.

• Find creative ways to involve the UK public in PAN UK’s work, including enabling members of the public to contact decision makers directly.

2.       Communications

• Secure media coverage for PAN UK outputs, including writing press releases and liaising with journalists. Provide written quotes for media outlets and give interviews for radio and TV.

• Write materials including policy reports, political briefings and public-facing communications such as blogs and supporter emails. Edit and sign off all outputs from the UK team, ensuring they are both well-written and accurate.

• Conduct public speaking at a range of events, from high-profile events in parliament to community gatherings (and everything in between!).

• Work closely with PAN UK’s Communications Manager to provide content for the organisation’s website and social media channels. Support the Communications Manager in their broader work which includes raising PAN UK’s public profile and leading on individual giving.

3.       Fundraising and financial management

(Please note that PAN UK does not employ fundraisers).

• Raise sufficient funds to cover the UK team’s salaries, activity costs and contribution to organisational overheads.

• Contribute to efforts to raise core funds, which are led by PAN UK’s Director.

• Identify and build relationships with new funders, particularly trusts and foundations, with the aim of securing funding.

• Maintain excellent relationships with existing funders, making sure to meet reporting deadlines.

• Follow PAN UK protocols to ensure that the UK team’s finances are well-managed.

 4.     Leadership and strategy

• Manage a high-performing team, leading on strategy development and implementation and ensuring that the team runs effectively.

• Line manage the staff of the UK team, running regular 121s, annual appraisals and generally making sure they are happy and productive.

5.       Contributing to the organisation

• Contribute to the effective and smooth running of the organisation through membership of the Senior Management Team.

• Report to the PAN UK Board of Trustees as and when required.

• Other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Director and commensurate with the post.

Person specification

Essential

• At least eight years’ advocacy experience, including experience of designing, developing and implementing both policy work and public campaigns.

• Experience of developing, implementing and reviewing strategies designed to create change. 

• Excellent writing and editing skills and experience of producing both technical and public-facing materials. Exceptional attention to detail and a personal commitment to accuracy.

• An understanding of the political context, actors, and processes relating to key policy areas that intersect with pesticides such as food, farming, environment and/or health.

• Experience lobbying decision makers and knowledge of how the UK political system works.

• Demonstrable experience of preparing successful funding applications and building relationships with funders.

• Experience of managing, leading and motivating staff.

• Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice.

• Proven ability to work on own initiative, meeting objectives and tight deadlines under pressure.

• The right to work in the UK.

 Desirable

• Knowledge of problems and solutions associated with pesticides and/or other chemicals. 

• Experience working in sectors related to pesticides including environment, health and/or social justice. 

• Relevant degree in a related discipline (science or social science).

• Experience of dealing with the media and acting as a spokesperson.

Role Overview

As the Youth Service Manager, you will lead KCBNA’s youth provision for young people within the KCBNA youth centre, King’s Cross and surrounding areas. You will oversee the delivery of funded programmes, develop new initiatives, and ensure high-quality workshops, training, and mentoring. This role also involves managing teams, budgets, safeguarding responsibilities, and building partnerships to support the charity’s mission of empowering young people and creating stronger communities.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Management:

· Lead the design and delivery of KCBNA’s diverse range of youth provision.

· Ensure all evaluation reports required by the funder is completed in a timely manner liaising with the dedicated Grants officers.

· Develop and deliver engaging workshops, training sessions, and mentoring opportunities for young people.

· Ensure a seamless transition for young people.

· Take the lead on specific projects to grow and evolve youth work in line with the organisation’s strategy.

Team Leadership:

· Line manages the Youth workers.

· Recruit, train, and manage young volunteers.

· Oversee induction, training, development, and performance management of team members.

Safeguarding and Risk Management:

· Manage day-to-day safeguarding responsibilities and report to the lead safeguarding manager.

· Conduct health and safety risk assessments to ensure safe programme delivery.

· Enhanced DBS check is required

Budget and Resource Management:

· Oversee six-figure budgets, develop management accounts and collaborate with the Finance officer.

· Ensure the effective management, maintenance and up keep of the youth centre in liaison with the KCBNA admin support officer.

Partnership Development and Fundraising:

· Write funding bids and develop partnerships with corporates and stakeholders in Camden working collaboratively with the Chief Executive and Fundraising support member.

· Design and create engaging resources.

· Lead focus groups and identify opportunities for new programmes.

· Work with the youth team and KCBNA team to create content for social media and the website.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

· Use impact feedback and evaluation data to drive programme improvement.

· Produce clear, insightful reports for internal use, stakeholders, funders, and the Trustee Board.

General Duties:

· Maintain high standards across all programmes, ensuring alignment with London Youth quality assurance.

· Be prepared to deliver services across weekends, evenings, and during Holiday periods.

· Review and improve youth programmes using feedback surveys from young people and service users.

· Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the line manager to support the smooth running of the charity.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cure Parkinson’s philanthropy team until June 2027. In this role you will provide excellent personalised support to our ambitious Development Board, a group of eight well connected individuals using their networks to accelerate Cure Parkinson’s income generation, and be an integral part of the team delivering two special philanthropy events.

Cure Parkinson’s Gala 2027: Our last gala event ‘An Evening at the Roundhouse’, in October 2024, raised over £500,000. The evening was hosted by Edith Bowman and Simon Mayo and included performances from Emeli Sandé and Peter Andre.

Grand Cru.saders Banquet: The Grand Cru.saders are a new group of philanthropic wine enthusiasts with a mission, set up by our Development Board. To join each member pledges a case from their cellar to be auctioned in support of Cure Parkinson’s at an annual dinner. Their inaugural event took place in September 2025 and raised over £160,000.

Over the next 18 months we plan to build on the success of these events, delivering the second Grand Cru.saders Banquet in September 2026 and a gala in Spring 2027. As Major Gifts and Philanthropy Events Officer you would be a vital part of the team making this happen.

Worldwide Radiology is a registered charity working internationally creating and delivering solutions to enhance access to high quality and appropriate diagnostic imaging tests in low- and middle-income countries. 

We’re a small but busy team, mainly based in the UK, working remotely across several countries and time zones. Our work involves close collaboration with hospitals, universities, and global health partners, and we’re looking for a Finance & Operations Administrator who can help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

About the role

Your work will span all areas including bookkeeping, coordinating meetings and travel, supporting volunteers, and offering flexible admin support wherever it’s needed, and ensuring that our projects and governance processes run efficiently.

You’ll also play a part in strengthening internal communication and contributing to a positive, supportive team culture.

You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager, CEO, Programme Manager, and the UK based team, as well as our global network of volunteers and partners, so clear communication and cultural awareness are important.

Key responsibilities

Financial administration

• Process invoices, receipts and other payments, accurately recording them in Xero.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations in Xero and maintain accurate financial records. 

• Creditor and debtor control.

• Keep accurate electronic filing of financial and legal documents.

• Track organisational subscriptions, memberships, and renewals (e.g. Zoom, Google Workspace, domain hosting).

• Assist with payroll processing, liaising with third-party payroll provider.

• Assist with gathering financial data or documents needed for audits, board reporting, or funding applications.

• Support the Finance Manager with general bookkeeping and financial reporting requirements.

Meetings and coordination

• Schedule and manage remote and hybrid meetings across several time zones, ensuring appropriate technical setup.

• Schedule and organise in-person team meeting/planning days, including catering and logistics

• Organise, prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up on agreed actions for internal meetings and partner meetings as required. 

• Utilise project management software (Click-Up) to track activities. 

• Support coordination of annual leave, holiday cover, and team planning days.

• Assist with scheduling online training programme sessions with partners and volunteers, including managing rotas and online meeting links.

• Support WWR events (e.g. study days), coordinating logistics and liaising with speakers, attendees, and venues.

• Assist the CEO with diary management and scheduling external meetings.

Governance and organisational management

• Prepare a 4-monthly board meeting pack, including gathering documents, preparing presentation slides, liaising with trustees, and managing meeting logistics.

• Maintain and update the board’s action tracker and ensure trustees and staff are informed of deadlines and responsibilities.

• Maintain a central policy suite and update document libraries in Google Drive.

• Manage and maintain Google Workspace settings, shared drives, and user access.

• Provide light technical support to the team (Zoom, Google Meet, shared drives, etc.).

• Provide administrative support for compliance processes (insurance renewals, Companies House and Charity Commission filings, as led by the Finance Manager).

Volunteer and HR administration

• Support volunteer onboarding and maintaining up-to-date volunteer records.

• Support team leaders with recruitment processes for volunteers, consultants and staff.

• Manage volunteer feedback and complaint forms and help ensure follow-up as needed.

• Maintain contact lists and distribution lists for volunteers, staff, and partners.

• Coordinate with project leads to track volunteer participation and availability across projects.

Travel and logistics

• Arrange travel for the CEO, programme staff, volunteers, and partners as needed using our third-party travel company.

• Support with preparing and submitting visa applications and gathering necessary documentation.

• Coordinate in-country travel and accommodation bookings and payments for team members and visitors.

• Maintain records of travel insurance, and relevant permissions for project-related trips.

About you

We’re looking for someone who’s practical, detail-oriented, confident in managing multiple tasks and able to prioritise them effectively. You will be proactive, reliable and adaptable and you will be comfortable using a range of IT tools and working in a remote, global environment.

Essential skills and qualities

• Proven bookkeeping experience or qualification, being confident using on-line accounting software.

• Excellent IT skills using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint along with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar), Zoom, and similar tools.

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with great attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Comfortable learning and managing new systems (e.g. ClickUp or other project management platforms).

• Friendly, professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a collaborative approach, cultural awareness and confidence to ask questions and seek support.

Desirable

• Experience supporting boards or governance processes.

• Experience working or volunteering in the non-profit and/or health sector.

• Experience working or communicating across cultures

• Familiarity with charity administration and awareness of UK charity accounting.

Global Greengrants Fund (GGF) supports grassroots activists and civil society organisations around the world working to address environmental and social justice in over 160 countries.GGF applies a participatory and decentralised model in making grants to grassroots groups through regional and thematic boards of advisors, global partner networks and independent funds, to support grassroots environmental and social justice action. 

Global Greengrants Fund comprises two organisations located in the USA, Global Greengrants Fund Inc (established in 1993), and Global Greengrants Fund UK (established in 2012). The two organisations work closely together with a shared grantmaking programme and strategic collaboration at the senior leadership level. GGF UK consists of thirteen staff members working on fundraising and influencing philanthropy; finance; communications; and operations, with all of these functions operating autonomously but in close collaboration with their US counterpart functions.

The Senior Finance and Operations Administrator needs to understand the challenges and opportunities that come with these transformations and can remain flexible, steady, and adaptable. 

The Role 

The Senior Finance and Operations Administrator is a critical, multi-functional role supporting the financial, operational and administrative systems of GGF UK. The role will report to the Head of Finance with a dotted line to the Operations Manager on all operational tasks.

Acting as a key liaison between grants management, operations and finance, this role requires taking ownership of specific financial processes – particularly those intersecting with grants payments, forex providers and internal systems. The ability to clarify issues and relay technical information across functions will be essential and hence demand high attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to navigate and communicate complex financial and grant-related processes to non-financial colleagues.

Coordinating closely with the Director of Finance and Operations, the postholder will provide proactive administrative support including diary management. 

The candidate profile. 

The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, social justice, feminist, gender, human rights organisation, and/or grant-making organisation. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit grant accounting/financial issues and dealing with both financial and grant information and processes, understand accounting principles, and have knowledge of accounting, and grantmaking processes. They have experience of using banking services and payment experiences (including international payments). They demonstrate excellent administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure the accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They will have the skills to give, receive, and work with feedback constructively. They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions. Multiple language skills would be ideal, while English fluency is a must.

Key Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for the Data Administrator will include but are not restricted to, the following:

Database Management and Security

• Handle day-to-day tasks: creating/running reports, importing data, retention processes, cleansing, maintenance, and advising on best practices.
• Work as part of a team to ensure compliance with Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, and DUA Act 2025.

 

Performance Monitoring

• Monitoring exisitng intergrations to ensure they work and data entry is accurate.
• Liaise with internal teams and external consultants.
• Conduct regular testing, analyse metrics, troubleshoot issues, and optimise efficiency.

 

Support Internal Staff Training

• Support Head of Data in training staff on best practices for data entry and management.
• Create and manage training materials and processes.

Data Segmentation

• Work with teams to segment data for personalised communications.

 Data Insights, Analytics and AI

• Provide insights and analysis via reports, dashboards, analytics tools.
• Manage data to enable analytics and AI usage.

Specific Duties

1. Manage, create and administer reports and dashboards as requested by internal teams and the Head of Data.

2. Develop and maintain data entry and reporting processes.

3. Monitor data quality and integrity to maintain a high level of accuracy.

4. Conduct regular audits of data processes and manage data retention to ensure compliance with regulations (Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, DUA Act 2025).

5. Perform database de-duplication and cleansing procedures regularly.

6. Define, manage, and document issues, resolutions, checks, and testing following team methodology.

7. Assist internal teams in data segmentation for personalised communications.

8. Troubleshoot data issues in collaboration with internal teams.

9. Liaise with third-party software providers to ensure seamless and accurate data transfers.

10.  General database administration tasks e.g. creating users, resetting passwords.

11.  Report regularly to the Head of Data on performance metrics.

NRAS Structure

The post holder will report to the Head of Data and will work closely with the Data Team, and all colleagues throughout the organisation as data users.

You’ll be a first point of contact for a wide range of enquiries, providing friendly, efficient support by phone, email and in person. The Grants Coordinator is a key role within the ABCT team. They will work closely with the Team and Grants Coordinator to provide essential underpinning support for all aspects of the team's work, to ensure the effective delivery and recording of ABCT's grant-making programmes. The Grant Coordinator's work supports the Grants Managers and the work of the whole team.

Key responsibilities

• Grants Administration: Manage all aspects of the grants cycle, including applications, payments, reporting, and enquiries, while maintaining accurate records on Salesforce and liaising with suppliers and the Finance team.
• Database and website management: Maintain and enhance Salesforce grant management processes, ensure accurate data for reporting, and keep the Trust's website updated and effective.
• Office and team administration: Provide efficient administrative support for the team and board, including diary and travel management, process documentation, GDPR compliance, and assistance with projects and events.
• Be a supportive first point of contact for all who contact the organisation

The Grants Coordinator will need to be a team player who can work collaboratively and add value to the work. You will need to genuinely enjoy administration, be interested in ABCT's priority areas, and like building relationships. You will have emotional intelligence, and will enjoy being part of a small, friendly team. You will need experience of working with a range administrative systems and processes, be a good communicator and team player, and be flexible, organised, and have a demonstrable passion for our work. ABCT are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have a connection to the kinds of organisations and groups they fund and/or personal experience of the priority areas.

The role is 21 hours per week. ABCT are flexible about how these hours are worked, such as over 3 days or spread over 5 days. This is an office-based role located in Chelsea, London, where you’ll be supporting the team with a variety of day-to-day tasks involved in donation processing and event fulfilment. • Updating donor records on Raiser’s Edge, our supporter database
