Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of high-profile events, including leading on creating and delivering event concepts, working with key internal and external stakeholders, supplier management, event briefings and evaluating the event’s impact.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to create innovative event concepts and programmes to engage new and existing high-value supporters.
• Lead on the relationship with the Breast Cancer Now Toby Robins Research Centre to deliver best in class research tours that delight, engage and inspire high-value supporters.  This includes building relationships with stakeholders to effectively deliver recognition, stewardship and cultivation plans to ensure long term success.
• Work with the High Value Events team to support the Campaign board and team on the creation and delivery of Campaign-specific events.
• Ensure the opportunities are delivered on time and on budget, with clear and tight objectives and that they are working as hard as possible for the high value audience.
• Develop key external relationships, including high-value supporters, suppliers and event committees, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery.

Person Specification

• Proven experience in managing large-scale fundraising events, for high-net-worth audiences.
• Proven experience of successfully building relationships with high value supporters, senior volunteers, event committees and event attendees.
• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capability.
• Attention to detail, professionalism, and a service-oriented mindset.

Key responsibilities of the role:

Job Purpose:Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Family Centre provision to support families with children and young people aged 0-19 years (up to 25 years with disabilities and additional needs) that are identified as the most need of support or have emerging needs.

Main Responsibilities:

•  Management of the implementation of the Surrey County Council Families First specification for Family Centres and Family Resilience Support provision.

•  Show evidence of the impact of the support that is provided and record this on Early Help Management System (EHM), Outcome Stars and other systems as appropriate.
• Work with the Head of Finance, Head of CYP and the Youth & Family Service Manager to manage the budgets of the Family Centre and consider other sources of revenue.
• Manage Senior / Family Support Workers, Admin and other associated staff within the Family Centre and Family Support provision providing regular line management supervision, annual appraisals, and case supervisions.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant with a hospice on a permanent, part-time (4 days per week) basis. As Management Accountant you will play a key role in supporting financial decision-making across the charity. About the role:

This role is based out of our Chandlers Ford office on a hybrid basis with the expectation of 60% of your working week from the office. You will also be required to create posters, leaflets and other promotional material to help inform communities about the service.

About the role     

We’re looking for a support worker who will: 

• Support the Wales Mission Team in their ongoing mission to pioneer and create opportunities for children and young people, who are found in the 95% of those outside the church, to explore the Bible, respond to Jesus, grow in faith, and become sharers of the good news of Jesus for themselves. Our priority is to reach those who don’t yet know Jesus by helping them to connect, explore, respond, and grow. 

• Work with the National Mission Co-ordinator (Wales) and the team in the National Office to develop a wider provision for mission resources, communication and marketing materials in the Welsh language. 

This is a permanent role at 0.5 FTE with a salary of £11,970.  

What You'll Do   

• Administrative Support: provide administrative support to the Wales team with regard to arranging meetings, note taking, event bookings, internal communication and database support.

• Communication: communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences in Wales in a variety of ways including newsletters, social media, updates to the website, supporter communications, handling enquiries from church volunteers/workers. 

• Welsh Language: support with translation and proof-reading to expand the provision of Welsh language mission resources and communication with supporters.

The Mersey Rivers Trust (MRT) is an environmental charity focussing on the protection and enhancement of rivers and waterbodies in the Mersey Catchment. It operates in an area covering Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire. We have an annual turnover of c£1m and employ 19 staff delivering up to 30 projects per year. The Trust works with partners, local communities, and volunteers to deliver a wide range of projects including river restoration, reduction of flood risk by Natural Flood Management techniques, river monitoring, volunteer events (eg river clean-ups/invasive species control and citizen science), community engagement and education events, farm advice/plans and biodiversity net gain. The Trust continues to evolve to meet the increasing challenges of protecting and enhancing rivers and waterbodies in the catchment.

We are seeking a Finance and Governance Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead the Trust’s finance, governance, and back-office functions. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective charity governance. While not involved in field-based project delivery, the Finance Manager plays a strategic role in supporting the organisation’s mission by enabling robust financial planning, reporting, and operational support. You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Trustees, and project teams to ensure the Trust remains financially resilient and well-governed.

As the Finance and Governance Manager, you should possess expertise in financial control and reporting, allowing you to effectively handle delegated responsibilities. Your numerical skills and critical thinking abilities will enable you to proactively address challenges and streamline processes. 

The role holder will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The role will also include direct line management responsibilities of the Administration Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management of the back-office function and Charity governance of MRT.
• Act as the Company Secretary to ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements, as well as maintaining high standards of Charity governance.
• Work with the Chief Executive Officer to prepare and manage budgets, provide input to the Trust’s business plan and strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the Trust as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

• Support the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures to ensure good governance.
• Act as a key liaison with the Board of Trustees, preparing and presenting financial and governance reports to inform oversight and decision-making.
• Lead on the development of internal controls and risk management strategies to safeguard the Trust’s assets and reputation.
• Oversee all payments, manage cash flow, income and claims.
• Support financial planning for grant funding applications to support delivery of our objectives.
• Line management of the Administration Officer.
• Renew the annual insurance policy ensuring adequate cover and value for money.
• Maintain, oversee, and update all project management reporting systems on time and to budget (including timesheets, expenses and monthly reports).
• Complete all necessary reports and keep suitable records in line with the funding requirements and document retention policy.
• Highlight any new risks and issues identified whilst carrying out duties, and work with the team to manage and resolve them.
• Fulfil duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
• Any other reasonable duties as required by MRT.

The post holder will be home based with travel throughout the Mersey catchment. The applicant will need to live within or close to the Mersey catchment to facilitate regular travel to meetings. Remote working from other parts of the country cannot be considered for this role due to the need for regular face-to-face interactions. 

Candidate profile

Essential

• A financial control and reporting background, qualification or qualified by experience. 
• Experience of organisational governance, ideally with knowledge of UK General Accounting Practice and Charities regulations.
• Experience of financial and management reporting within a small to medium-sized organisation.
• Experience of liaising with accountants to prepare annual accounts and reports required by the Charity Commission.
• Experience of cash flow forecasting.
• Familiarity with Xero financial and project management software (or similar).
• A confident and clear communicator with the ability to communicate financial information in an appropriate manner for non-financial trustees and staff.
• Aptitude in problem-solving.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively from home with strong communication skills and with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

General notes

• Some travel around the Mersey Catchment will be necessary therefore a current driving licence and access to a vehicle (insured for business use) is desirable or otherwise access to public transport networks. 
• This position will from time to time require work during some evenings, weekends and public holidays to meet the needs of the post. A time-off in lieu system is operated by the Trust.
• We will also require the successfully applicant to undergo a basic DBS check and provide satisfactory references from previous employers.

Owned Events Lead

Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation is looking for a Challenge Events Lead to oversee one of the most high-profile areas of our fundraising. You’ll manage our participation in major third-party events such as the London Marathon, London Landmarks Half, Brighton Marathon and Ultra Challenges, ensuring supporters have an excellent experience while helping us raise vital income for our hospitals.

This is a senior role within the events fundraising team, giving you responsibility for relationships with external organisers, place allocations, supporter recruitment and stewardship. You’ll make sure that every runner, walker or cyclist feels supported from sign-up through to the finish line, building loyalty and long-term commitment to our cause.

You’ll also guide the Events Fundraising Co-ordinator, working together to keep everything running smoothly and to deliver first-class supporter care.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing the Foundation’s involvement in flagship third-party events including the London Marathon and London Landmarks Half
• Leading relationships with external organisers and agencies, acting as the main point of contact
• Overseeing place allocations, ballots and registration processes
• Planning supporter communications, ensuring every participant feels valued and engaged
• Developing campaigns to recruit new participants through grassroots marketing and digital channels

As our new Community Heat and Energy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering our major new community heat and energy workstrand. You’ll work with local communities and expert research partners to move forward local renewable energy projects which help power clean heat solutions at three different sites in England, as well as developing ways to remove barriers to delivering this type of project, such as supplying energy locally and matching supply and demand.

• Contract: 16 months at 4.5 days per week (or a nine-day fortnight if preferred). We are not accepting applications for job shares for this role. While we would like to extend the contract beyond 16 months, as this is a grant-funded role, we cannot currently offer this.

• Work status: We don’t have a sponsor licence, so we're unable to provide sponsorship for a work visa, and candidates are required to hold the right to work for the duration of the contract.

• Salary: £39,200 for a 4.5 day week (pro-rata’d from £43,556 FTE). This is band C3 on our pay scale. 

• Location: Some of the role will be site-specific. We are therefore open to candidates based anywhere in the UK, although some travel to project sites will be required, and there will be an  occasional requirement to attend our Camden office, although you would be welcome to work there more often.

• Working hours: 0.9 FTE, i.e. 4.5 days per week or a 9 day fortnight. Our core working days are Tuesday and Wednesdays, when all staff are required to work. 

• Managed by: Head of Aviation, Heat and Energy.

• Works closely with: Possible’s Head of Comms, Digital Comms and Engagement Manager and Fundraising Manager, as well as key external partners including community energy groups.

• Ideal starting date: December 2025/January 2026
