About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Improvement Fellow to join the Health Foundation’s Insight & Analysis Unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of health and care by leading research and analysis that informs policy, influences practice and drives meaningful change.
The postholder will be responsible for developing and delivering in-house research projects and analysis on health innovation and service transformation, technology, data and AI, and then working with our Communications team to disseminate the findings externally, including to influence senior stakeholders in the NHS, industry and government. The postholder will also be involved in supporting our reactive communications work, such as responding to external policy developments and consultations.
This role is based in the Insight & Analysis Unit, in the Health Foundation’s Innovation and Improvement Directorate. We are responsible for conducting in-house research on priority topics, curating insights from our funding programmes, and mobilising our learning to influence policy, practice and public debate. Our current work areas include healthcare technology, data, AI, management and leadership, workforce and service transformation.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Under direction, to help ensure that the support for all new and ongoing cases is provided by ensuring contact is made within set timescales and according to set protocols.
ii. To ensure timely referral to the operations team when a volunteer drops out or a need for extra help is identified.
iii. To help answer all incoming calls general queries relating to community service support for our clients.
iv. Throughout the course of your work to ensure you record your responses on each individual case on our database. To contribute to the team by helping to also update volunteer information from each telephone conversation.
v. Under direction, to assist with responses to both incoming and outgoing to DL letters and update each case, to ensure a prompt reply and timely referral where necessary.
vi. Throughout the course of your work, to identify when on the phone, possible good stories to enable us to approach and persuade all individuals involved to submit an article for the newsletter.
vii. To handle telephone inquiries and relay messages where appropriate.
viii. To demonstrate a proactive, positive and flexible attitude to all our clients.
ix. To have flexibility to work additional hours for holiday and sickness cover when directed.
x. To liaise with all other staff of the Trust in a flexible manner.
xi. At all times to ensure and maintain a compassionate, professional and efficient public image for the Trust.

The Digital Inclusion Worker will be responsible for providing targeted one-to-one digital support and delivering workshops to both disabled and non-disabled residents of Enfield, helping them to improve their digital skills. This will be achieved through the delivery of tailored training and learning programmes designed to promote digital inclusion. The Digital Inclusion Worker will also involve residents in the co-design of the project, network with community groups and partner organisations, support the recruitment of volunteers, troubleshoot technical challenges faced by residents, and assist ECP’s Project Manager in producing key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress reports.
The Digital Inclusion Worker will have extensive Digital Inclusion knowledge to:
- Manage the Enfield Digital Champions (Volunteers) project ensuring adherence to compliance, health and safety matters, and quality assurance.
- Support the recruitment of Digital Champion volunteers to sustain and enhance a network of 10 digital champions per year delivering support and skills training in Enfield.
- Provide training and development opportunities to volunteers to sustain interest and enhance skills.
- Manage the programme of digital skills workshops and work with ECP Project Manager to on-board new locations for groups/sessions.
- Host Bi-monthly network sessions for all champions and provide appropriate related 1:1 support, as required.
- Create bespoke workshop material based on resident top learning priorities.
- Provide digital skills training to Enfield residents to allow them to confidently access the internet to improve social, economic and health opportunities.
- Support the recruitment of volunteers (with help from other partners orgs) from the Enfield community to build intergenerational learning and broaden the project's scope.

We seek a skilled and proactive fundraiser to support LP in submitting funding applications to support its partnership with LPD and developing long-term fundraising capacity.
