As our Events Assistant you have an exciting opportunity to join our developing charity. Working closely with the Events Manager, volunteers and a small team of colleagues, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to provide efficient and strong administration and coordination for both existing and new supportive events for bereaved parents and adult siblings. This role also involves supporting the volunteers who facilitate online groups, in-person retreats, support days, and supportive walks.
For this varied and busy role, we are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent interpersonal, written and IT skills. You will be comfortable working across multiple projects, be able to prioritise effectively and manage your time well in this part-time position, as many projects are time sensitive. You will have some experience in event administration and coordination and be able to learn new processes quickly. Excellent attention to detail is essential in this role and you will also be able to build successful relationships with volunteers and staff. The role requires a high degree of flexibility, including a willingness to work some evenings and weekends. You will work closely with colleagues while also using your own initiative to work independently and complete time sensitive tasks.

The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is the UK’s only national charity providing peer support to bereaved parents whose child, of any age (from 1 month old to an adult child), has died from any cause. We also offer support to bereaved adult siblings and grandparents.
Via over 300 trained and supported volunteers, bereaved parents, adult siblings and grandparents themselves, we support over 25,000 bereaved parents each year through peer support offered in person, over the telephone, by email, online, and in print.

This role supports Kate Varah, as Executive Assistant to the Executive Director and Co-Chief Executive (EAED), providing proactive, discreet, senior-level support within a busy office and theatre environment.
The EAED will support Kate in delivering their role efficiently and effectively, focusing on significant and complex diary management to ensure smart and strategic prioritisation. As an engaged and diplomatic communicator, they would act as first point of contact for all matters relating to the ED, working in partnership with colleagues in the Directors’ Office, Senior Leadership Team, and more widely across the organisation, as well as with artists and external parties. The EAED would be trusted to support or lead on projects as required, and act as an effective bridge for all relevant communications to ensure Executive awareness and involvement as necessary.
The successful candidates will have the following:
- Experience in an assistant role within an Executive-level environment (corporate or charity sector)
- Exceptional written and administrative skills, with a focus complex and strategic diary management
- Excellent communication (in all mediums), interpersonal, and organisational skills, including building and maintaining key relationships in a senior space
- Proven experience in safeguarding sensitive and confidential information accordingly, with a core understanding of prioritisation
- Experience in minuting and report drafting

We are looking for a highly competent Part-Time Finance Manager to join our team who displays a passion for St Bride Foundation. Responsible for producing financial and management accounts and reports. Also providing effective and efficient financial and administration support to the Board of Trustees, Foundation Manager and Heads of Departments.
The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:
- Manage the Annual Report process and prepare statutory accounts for St Bride Foundation Trust Ltd, St Bride Foundation and Bridewell Centre Limited.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting reports, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
- Prepare month end journals and maintain robust supporting documentation.
- Maintain and reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets.
- Manage the accounting system, including oversight of sales and purchase ledgers, cash book, bank reconciliations and debt collection.
- Lead the migration from Sage Line 50 to Xero, due for completion by March 2026.
- Manage payroll processing, RTI submissions and pension administration.
- Manage relationships with HMRC, prepare VAT returns and ensure VAT and Corporation Tax submissions are accurate and on time.
- Prepare the annual budget and work closely with budget holders to ensure forecasts are accurate and up to date.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, manage working capital and produce periodic income and expenditure forecasts.
- Liaise with investment managers, reconciling income and ensuring appropriate information is received for financial reporting.
- Prepare financial papers for the Board and Finance Committee, including financial analysis and commentary.
- Maintain and update the Risk Register, working with senior stakeholders to identify and manage financial risks.

Duties and key responsibilities
Financial Administration and Bookkeeping
- Responsibility for maintaining all financial records and data accurately and within agreed systems, to include:Maintaining up-to-date records in Sage 50.
- Importing bank receipts into Sage from Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Processing purchase invoices, card transactions, and payments, ensuring correct coding to nominal and departmental ledgers.
- Maintaining payment records and reconciling grant payments within Sage 50 and grant management software.
- Generating sales invoices and carrying out credit control on a regular basis.
- Ensuring prompt payment of invoices and preparing payments with the bank for review by the Director of Finance & Resources.

The Membership Engagement Co-ordinator will sit within the Faculty's small communications team to support a consistent and enhanced approach to engagement with Faculty members at local level, working closely with the Faculty's Local Board Members.
This new role will also seek to promote Faculty membership across the four nations of the UK, and provide other support to the Faculty's membership communications function.

Fundraising Database Manager
Permanent, Part-time, (3 days a week, 0.6 FTE)
London (N5) – 2 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday).
£40,000-£45,000 FTE
The Fundraising Database Manager reports to the Chief Executive and will be responsible for managing the charity’s CRM (Donorfy) and work with colleagues to ensure the smooth operational delivery of fundraising processes and activities.
The role will lead on supporter data management and income administration, ensuring accurate and GDPR-compliant records. This includes maintaining supporter and beneficiary databases, managing integrations between systems (including Donorfy, mondayDB and third-party platforms).
You will oversee donation processing and income reconciliation across all fundraising streams, including Gift Aid management, Stripe integration and monthly reconciliations with Finance. You will support effective donor stewardship, alongside collaboration with fundraising team. You will deliver data extraction, reporting and analysis, producing regular income reports, KPI dashboards, forecasts and campaign analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will provide targeted data sets for fundraising and marketing activity, track performance, and support income planning.
You will also support events and campaigns, manage event data, registrations, sponsorship tracking and reporting, including imports from platforms such as JustGiving. Alongside this, you will ensure robust compliance, risk management and due diligence, managing consent, data retention, audits and compliant prospect research. Finally, you will play a key role in operations and stewardship, supporting major donor, corporate and trust relationships through effective systems, templates and processes, managing pipelines and moves management, and embedding fundraising best practice across the team.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of managing a CRM, either in fundraising or in a business using client and customer data. You will be a problem-solver, with experience of identifying and delivering on improvements for operational systems and processes.
You will have excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to convey complex information to a range of stakeholders and influence at a senior level. You will have excellent IT skills, with experience of using data analytics tools within Microsoft and other software packages. You will have experience of developing and successfully embedding efficient operational processes. You will have a robust understanding of data compliance including GDPR, PECR and the Fundraising Code of Practice. You will have a commitment to the wellbeing of children and to the organisation's vision and mission.
Desirably, you will have experience using Donorfy (CRM database) and/or PowerBi. You will have experience of integrating Donorfy with other platforms (e.g. mondayDB, MailChimp, Microsoft, payment platforms such as CAFDonate or Just Giving). You will have experience of working in a fundraising department and/or on fundraising campaigns.

What you will be achieving
The Grants Officer will be a member of the Biomedical Grants and Policy Department. You will work with a Grants Manager to administer a portion of the Academy’s portfolio of grants schemes and activities. You will act as a key point of contact for external liaison relating to the schemes. Working with the other Grants Officers and the rest of the Team, you will also help to develop and deliver events for Academy grant holders, as well as contribute to the Academy’s wider portfolio of work, and the delivery of our strategy.
The Grant Officer will be line managed by a Grants Manager.
What you will be doing
Administering a portion of the Academy’s portfolio of grant schemes:
- Processing applications, determining eligibility and coordinating peer review of eligible applications
- Convening and supporting the awarding panel, including preparation of committee papers, reports and financial information, as well as preparing feedback to applicants
- Managing the new grants once awarded, along with the Academy’s existing portfolio of grants
- Supporting the monitoring of awards and evaluation of grants schemes
- Analysing data and preparing papers, presentations and reports to demonstrate the impact of our schemes for internal and external use
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date data on grants
- Researching and reporting on initiatives being undertaken by other UK funders
Liaising with stakeholders:
- Working with the Academy’s Fellowship, in their roles as peer reviewers, selection panel members and Chairs, honorary Officers and members of Council
- Acting as a key external point of contact for the Academy’s grants schemes, such as by providing advice to applicants, awardees, and host organisations
- Developing and maintaining working relationships with scheme funders
- Working with other Academy staff, particularly the rest of the Careers department and supporting the other Grants Officers in the delivery of their schemes, as required
Supporting the development and delivery of events for Academy grant holders, for example induction and scientific meetings for grant holders
Contributing to the Academy’s wider portfolio of work, including drafting and providing data for papers for the Academy’s governing committees
Acting as line-manager or project manager for one of the Academy’s interns, on a rotation basis and when the opportunity arises
Performing any other duties that might be reasonably expected, and which are commensurate with this level of post
