Role Summary
• Project Delivery & Coordination: Implement the Carers in Employment Project plan, ensuring milestones and targets are met.
• Employer outreach and campaigns: Coordinate outreach campaigns to engage SMEs through letters, emails, LinkedIn, and networking events. Organise and deliver employer engagement activities, including targeted campaigns during Carers Week and Carers Rights Day.
• Employer Engagement & Support: Promote carer-friendly policies and practices using resources such as the Carers UK ‘Employers for Carers’ toolkit. Provide advice and guidance to employers on flexible working, emergency leave, and statutory rights. Facilitate access to CSWS support services for carer-employees, including 1-to-1 advice clinics.
• Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver carer-awareness training sessions for employers and HR teams. Develop and share best practice resources for workplace carer support.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track engagement metrics (e.g. number of SMEs reached, policies adopted). Prepare progress reports and contribute to impact evaluations.
• Partnership Development: Build relationships with business networks, Chambers of Commerce, local employability programmes and local employers. Explore opportunities for fundraising and in-kind support from corporate partners
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Carers Support West Sussex to align the project offer with the wider support available in the localities.
• Promote the principles of Think Carer across all networks and proactively identify carers and opportunities through partnership working, outreach, community connections and networking. promoting carers as expert partners in care.

The Research Officer role enjoys a varied workload and brings the opportunity to work with autonomy and develop new skills within a friendly and dynamic team. Duties and Key Responsibilites
Sarcoma UK’s research programme
- To support Sarcoma UK’s grant application processes under guidance from the Research Manager. This will include calls for proposals, identifying expert peer reviewers, administering a high-quality peer and lay review process, communication with applicants and potential applicants, administration of grant awards and supporting patient involvement.
- To provide support to the Grant Review Panel and Research Strategy Committee, including organising meetings and preparing minutes.
- To manage Sarcoma UK’s portfolio of active research grants, under guidance from the Research Manager. This will include use of grant management software for administration of newly awarded grants, monitoring progress of current grants, oversight of grant finances and reporting on final outputs.
- To support opportunities for patient involvement within the research programme, including managing a network of lay reviewers and facilitating new opportunities, with support from the Involvement and Volunteering Coordinator.
- To support new developments in Sarcoma UK’s research programme, including organising and attending events, collaborative funding calls and initiatives to support early career researchers.
Research Impact and Communications
- To monitor and gather outputs and long-term impact of research grants funded by Sarcoma UK and support in ensuring these are shared with internal and external audiences.
- To plan and produce engaging and reactive and proactive communications about sarcoma research, including website, social media, written and video content, working with the Research Manager and Communications Team to ensure our research activities and outcomes are shared with the sarcoma community and wider public.
- To proactively engage with grant holders to gather impactful insights and to support engaging communication about sarcoma research.
- To regularly review and update Sarcoma UK’s website with progress updates on research grants and promote funding opportunities.
- To support work undertaken by the Fundraising Team where required, such as lab tours and supplying information about funded grants for donor reports.
External relationships
- To be a point of contact for Sarcoma UK grant holders and their host institutions.

About the role
We’re seeking a Direct Marketing and Acquisition Officer to join our high-performing fundraising team.
2025 was our best year yet for income and this role is pivotal in helping us to take the next step in growing our supporter base and future income.
This new role will be responsible for planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns to recruit regular donors, using data-led insights, audience segmentation, and performance tracking to optimise activity across digital, direct mail, telemarketing, and face-to-face channels.
The role will also focus on growing our lottery programme, converting new players into regular supporters, and developing retention strategies that maximise long-term commitment and lifetime value.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver effective multi-channel acquisition campaigns across digital and offline channels.
- Lead and grow our lottery programme, managing promotional campaigns, partner relationships, and retention strategies.
- Develop and implement supporter retention strategies to engage both new and existing supporters.

About you
We’re looking for an ambitious and energetic fundraiser who is:
- Experienced in supporter acquisition, marketing, or fundraising, with proven success in direct marketing campaigns.
- Skilled in direct marketing, campaign planning, and copywriting.
- Confident in interpreting data and translating insights into action.
- Familiar with CRM systems and digital tools (e.g. email platforms, social media ads).
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work to tight deadlines.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience with Click Dimensions, Dataro, Microsoft Dynamics, and knowledge of fundraising regulations would be a bonus!

Duties and key responsibilities
Financial Administration and Bookkeeping
- Responsibility for maintaining all financial records and data accurately and within agreed systems, to include:Maintaining up-to-date records in Sage 50.
- Importing bank receipts into Sage from Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Processing purchase invoices, card transactions, and payments, ensuring correct coding to nominal and departmental ledgers.
- Maintaining payment records and reconciling grant payments within Sage 50 and grant management software.
- Generating sales invoices and carrying out credit control on a regular basis.
- Ensuring prompt payment of invoices and preparing payments with the bank for review by the Director of Finance & Resources.
- Maintaining the expense management system in line with policies and ensuring timely authorisation and reimbursement.
- Ensuring accurate records of authorisation and financial approvals.
- Preparing and posting all month-end journals.
- Completing monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts.
- Working with the Database and Finance Officer to reconcile income between Sage 50 and the income spreadsheet on a quarterly basis.
- Maintaining organised financial files to support monthly reporting and the year-end audit.
- Updating and monitoring the VAT threshold spreadsheet, ensuring the organisation remains compliant and alerting the Director of Finance & Resources to any potential threshold issues.
- Reconciling and maintaining restricted funding and expenditure for projects.
- Covering the following duties when the Database and Finance Officer is on leave: monitoring income and updating the income spreadsheet daily; paying cheques and cash into the bank account in a timely manner.
- Supporting fundraising events, e.g. preparing card readers, paperwork, and reconciling cash.
Financial Reporting
- Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, accompanied by analysis, commentary, and project-level breakdowns.
- Providing analysis and ad-hoc financial information as required.
- Maintain and regularly update the restricted fund spreadsheet, ensuring accurate tracking of income, expenditure, and balances in line with donor and grant requirements.
Budget Management
- Supporting the preparation of the annual Excel-based organisational budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Participating in budget meetings with managers to ensure robust and realistic financial plans.
- Assisting project managers with the preparation of Excel-based project budgets.
Audit
Preparation for the annual audit and compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements, including:
- Preparing audit documentation and working papers in collaboration with the Director of Finance & Resources.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for auditors, coordinating documentation requests before and during audit week.
Other
- Ensuring financial policies and processes remain fit for purpose, recommending and implementing improvements where needed.
- Acting as the main point of contact for financial queries, with support from the Director of Finance & Resources.
- Carrying out any other duties reasonably required to support the effective financial management of Sarcoma UK.
- Adapting to the needs of a developing organisation and undertaking additional responsibilities as necessary.

The Role
Your role will encompass operational managament and implementation of the lottery and lead generation programme, budgeting and forecasting, monitoring and reporting of campign results and relationship management.
You will lead a team of three to deliver manage multiple direct dialogue and direct marketing projects to acquire and develop supporters who give via a regular gifts.
Lead the development and growth of the Lottey product, along with its integration with raffles. Identify new opportunities, research and produce proposals for testing.
Drive the creative and functional development of the lead generation programme to maximise the conversion of leads to a regular givers.
The Candidate
Proven ability to plan, implement and evaluate direct marketing campaigns with substantial understanding of Direct Marketing acquisition and retention across a range of media channels, including Direct Dialogue, Telemarketing, DRTV, Digital and/or Direct Mail.
Previous line management experience.
Proven ability to analyse results of campaigns.
Ability to build rapport and present to a range of audiences and work with both internal teams and external suppliers. negotiating costs, managing relationships and ensuring positive outcomes.

The Democratic Progress Institute (DPI) is an independent non-governmental organisation established in consultation with international experts in conflict resolution and democratic advancement. DPI seeks to promote peace and democracy building through strengthened public dialogue and engagement.
Overall Purpose of the Position
The Head of Programmes is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the organisations’ project activities and leads the DPI Programmes team, also ensuring a close working relationship with Finance, Fundraising and Operations colleagues. The role works with the CEO on operational, fundraising, strategic and monitoring levels and also involves representing DPI at external meetings and events as needed.
Project Management
- Coordinates the day-to-day operational management of the DPI’s programmes, including the implementation of activities and financial matters– in close coordination with relevant colleagues.
- Monitors the implementation of project activities and ensures compliance with the strategic framework as well as internal procedures and policies including financial and administrative.

SDT has the overall responsibility for managing and thanking all supporter donations to CAFOD made through a variety of channels and schemes. SDT works within the Finance and infrastructure group, liaises across all teams in CAFOD, and external service providers to ensure donations are processed within agreed service levels and quality standards. Due to the nature of SDT’s role, SDT has particularly close ties to CAFOD Fundraising activities and actively engages in our fundraising programmes and schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Supporter Care:
- Handle telephone, email and postal enquiries from supporters; identifying and resolving queries in a prompt, warm and sensitive way.
- Provide phone cover to the Supporter Care team as required.
- Provide reception cover to the Supporter Care team as required.
Donations:
- Accurately code donations received, ensuring agreed departmental procedures are followed.
- Process, set up and administer instructions and payments through a variety of donations channels and schemes such as Online, Direct Debit, standing orders, BACs, Payroll giving schemes and online giving platforms.
- Input and maintain data on CAFOD’s supporter database, ensuring high degrees of accuracy on our donor records.
- File and archive financial data, while adhering to strict audit controls.
Gift Aid:
- Understand Gift Aid and its application within CAFOD.
- Assist with all aspects of tax effective giving, in accordance with agreed procedures and priorities, including preparation of regular tax claims for submission to HMRC.
Thanking:
- Produce and dispatch letters to thank and acknowledge donations received.
- Write bespoke letters of thanks to supporters to respond to exceptional donations and provide a personal touch.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancement and improvement of supporter thanking
Post/banking:
- Assist with all incoming and outgoing postal duties held by SDT to maximise effectiveness of processes and delivery of key service levels.
- Preparation of daily banking, cash handling and initial reconciliation of all monies received daily.
All SDT staff are expected to:
- Attend and contribute to regular team, section, divisional and CAFOD-wide meetings and briefings.
- Work as a supportive member of the team, providing cover for and training of the section staff and volunteers as required.
- Participate in training and other activities as requested by the line manager

More about the role
This key role within the Insights team has a focus on delivering marketing selections, implementing supporter journeys, and delivering insights on fundraising, communications and engagement performance. The Insights team sits within the Data & Insights Department – a team of 10 colleagues who are working towards our Data Strategy vision of our information being trusted, accessible and used to help pets and people thrive together.
You'll collaborate closely with the Insights Manager to deliver marketing selections and supporter journeys, as well as analysis and insights that deepen our understanding of our clients and supporters.
You will have the opportunity to problem solve and experiment to help us drive forward our data maturity, all whilst being a part of a friendly, welcoming and collaborative team.
