We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Supporter Retention and Experience Officer to join our successful Supporter Retention and Experience Unit. Working across a range of offline and online media channels, you will play a key role in supporting the team on retention and supporter experience campaigns to deliver income and build strong loyalty communications to existing supporters, helping to raise £40 million a year.

The role is a key member of the Supporter Retention and Experience Unit - who are responsible for delivery of multi-channel direct marketing communications to warm supporters - including regular giving, loyalty communications and cash appeals. The Unit is also responsible for creating and optimising supporter journeys and gathering valuable supporter insights. This role will lead on their own campaigns and projects which will include the development of new initiatives across the Unit.

ROLE PURPOSE:
A key member of the finance and financial accounts teams, supporting colleagues and the wider charity by taking responsibility for maintaining elements of the financial records of the charity.
Ensuring compliance with technical and legal requirements, safeguarding the assets of the charity.
Generating data that will allow for informed decisions to be made, maximising the impact that the charity can achieve for people effected by disasters.

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our busy team and to help provide a great finance service. You will have excellent attention to detail, good knowledge of finance processes and work well as part of a busy team. Having great organisational skills, you will be able to manage multiple tasks at the same time, work proactively and be a good communicator.
You will have experience in working in a finance team. Main core duty will be maintaining the purchase ledger. Shared tasks will be expected for payroll (training will be given). The individual may hold AAT qualification or be qualified by experience.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Maintain Financial Records
- As part of the Financial Accounts team (two Finance Officers and the Financial Controller) take a share of the responsibility for maintaining the financial records of the charity, ensuring compliance with processes and technical and legal requirements, and safeguarding the assets of the charity.
- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders in operating or using/getting benefits from the outputs from your areas of responsibility.
Areas of responsibility will include: -
- Processing and payment of invoices and bank transfers, including foreign and urgent payments.
- Processing of donations from journals generated from the CRM system, reconciling to bank receipts, and resolving any queries or discrepancies in collaboration with the Supporter Care team.
- Bank and petty cash recording and reconciliation. Including bank account reconciliation on a weekly basis, petty cash and foreign currency. Submission of bank reconciliations for approval by Financial Controller.
- Enter expected cash outgoings into weekly cash flow document.
- Credit Card and Expense Claims (detailed below)
- Process Payroll (detailed below)
- Purchase and sale of foreign currency as discussed with Financial Controller.
- Monthly gift aid submission including generation of Gift Aid submissions, complete pre-claim checks, submission and reconciliation to receipts from HMRC. Submission of draft gift aid submission for approval by Financial Controller.
- Month End - (detailed below)
- Year End - As instructed by the Financial Controller generate reports and information to support preparation of annual report and audit file. Answer audit queries provided by the charities auditors.
- Maintenance of the organisation's fixed asset register, posting journals for depreciation, acquisitions and disposals.
- Monitoring of finance inbox and support organisation with requests for financial information.
- Provide Support to organisation with procurement and purchase ledger system Focal point.
- Update projects/funds on Dimensions.
- Maintaining accounting records for our subsidiary company, ShelterBox Trading.
Credit Card and Expense Claims
- Maintenance of the Company Credit cards, submitting requests for new cards, adjusting credit limits and cancellation of cards.
- Download credit card transactions and upload to Continia Expense system and submit to credit card holders for completion of expenses.
- Review, approve and post to finance system credit card expenses and claims for expenses using Continia expense system.
- The issuing and reconciliation of cash advances for ShelterBox Response teams.
- Provision of new credit cards for Staff/ShelterBox Response team's and deal with any issues.
Payroll
- Processing the monthly payroll with information provided by HR Department using Payroll Software and initiating payment and payslips to staff.
- Monthly submission of payroll reports to HMRC and process payment of PAYE, NI and student loans to HMRC.
- Maintenance of the company pension scheme, uploading details of monthly contributions. Dealing with issues and queries around this.
- Monthly reconciliation of payroll control accounts.
- Providing support to the HR team around pay, pension, loans etc
Month End
- Assist with timely month end process by completing work to meet monthly deadlines.
- Monthly reconciliation of income between CRM and Dimensions.
- Produce month end reconciliations for approval by Financial Controller.
Special Projects:
- Provide support to the Finance Team Managers and Director of Finance including undertaking special projects as requested.
- Providing financial team support on cross departmental projects as required.
Other responsibilities
- Any other duties as required which are deemed appropriate to the level and grade of the post.

The role

About the Role
As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to them explaining the services, and assessing the impact of crime. Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.
As a Caseworker you will:
- Manage a caseload of self-referred and referred service users, providing information and advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
- Conduct risk and needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support and information.
- Identify barriers to accessing services and work with partners to provide ongoing support.
- Keep accurate and confidential case records on a bespoke case management system.
- Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse, delivering immediate support.
- Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime who accept ongoing support.
- Liaise and actively engage with other local providers to share information on the VS service offer.

About You
You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims and experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk and needs assessments would be beneficial.

Job Purpose
• The hospital to home service works collaboratively with hospitals to support people
when they are discharged from hospital to return home. As a Hospital to Home
Outreach Worker you will provide temporary practical and emotional support to service
users within their home and make sure they understand the care and treatment choices
available to them. The service is time limited, usually up to 4 or 6 weeks, to adjust and
settle back in their homes.
Key Tasks
• Assess the needs of service users either in hospital before discharge, or in their homes,
and understand what barriers and enablers there might be to moving home.
• Aid the discharge process and improve patient experience through tasks such as:
• Key cutting
• Co-ordinating with colleagues for the setup of the home environment
• Checking heating, electric and gas is functional prior to discharge
• Allowing access to the property for cleaning/repairs
• Provide (and/or arrange) the practical and emotional support needed to enable
service users to move home and/or remain safely at home.
• Be vigilant and make referrals/signpost for additional needs that our wider team, or
partners can support. E.g. for benefit checks, energy advice, carers support,
befriending.
• Help maximise service user independence by adopting an enabling approach.
• Develop a listening and caring relationship with the service user and their
families/carers.
• Provide domestic practical support within the home such as:
• Light cleaning,
• Washing (e.g. bedding),
• Changing bed sheets etc.
• Prepare and service drinks and simple meals with or for the service user customer
ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Accompany service user outside the home e.g. hospital/GP appointments etc.
• Support customers with other tasks e.g. making telephone calls on their behalf,

• Ensure service user comment sheets are completed.
• Support the return of customer comment sheets and general feedback in respect of
your own service users.
Quality
• Ensure services provided in the community are delivered in line with the Care Quality
Commission (CQC) principles.
• Deliver all work in line with AUKEL quality mark standards.
• Commit to undertaking the Care Certificate, if not already held or in possession of NVQ
level 2.
• Complete essential training as required by AUKEL to provide safe services.
Liaison
• Work in collaboration with other agencies providing support within the customer's
home.
• Work under the direction of the service manager and project officer/s.
• Represent AUKEL and participate in appropriate external meetings and events to

General

Your purpose
Voice 21 is the national oracy education charity, working with over 1000 schools annually to ensure that every child can use their voice to thrive in school, work and life. Alongside our work directly with schools, we campaign nationally to ensure that oracy is recognised and supported by policy-makers and other key stakeholders.
We’re looking for an Events Lead who will deliver an ambitious, high-quality programme of events in support of our mission. Based in the Influence team, you’ll play a pivotal cross-organisational role in delivering events in support of our national network of Voice 21 Oracy Schools, sales and marketing, and our fundraising and public affairs goals.
Your responsibilities
Event development, planning and management

Support the development and delivery of Voice 21’s Events Strategy, in alignment with our organisational plan
-
Work collaboratively across the organisation, especially with key stakeholders in the Growth and Fundraising teams, to ensure alignment with organisational goals, and effective coordination between teams

Plan and manage Voice 21’s annual flagship events: responsible for ticket sale and revenue generation targets; attendee experience; and co-ordination of content generation and programme design

Work collaboratively across the organisation to coordinate events (physical and virtual) in support of organisational goals, providing expertise, support in management/delivery, and helping to establish organisation-wide best practice systems and processes

Manage relationships with external stakeholders including venues, exhibitors and suppliers

Prepare and manage event project budgets, ensuring events operate with the agreed parameters, value-for-money is achieved and that there is effective and compliant monitoring and reporting

Evaluate and report upon the impact of Voice 21 events to support evidence-informed decision-making

Ensure all events communications reflect Voice 21’s brand and strategic messaging.
External event and speaker opportunities

Take ownership of, and further develop, Voice 21’s processes for the acceptance of external speaking opportunities, in a time of growing demand. Work across the organisation to ensure that this is managed in alignment with our organisational goals regarding partnerships, marketing and influencing.

Person specification
Essential

A proven track record in the management and delivery of conference-style events

Experience creating and managing events budgets

Experience using campaign management software

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with events stakeholders

Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities

Able to form excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
