Forming part of the Fundraising Leadership Team and reporting to the Associate Director of Fundraising, the Head of Donor Experience will lead a central support function covering donor journeys, supporter care, data and insight, digital fundraising and compliance. They will be responsible for shaping and delivering a comprehensive donor-centred strategy that drives engagement, loyalty and long-term value, while championing a digital-first, data-driven approach to stewardship.
As Head of Donor Experience, you will:
- Lead a high-performing Donor Experience team of nine, with four direct reports across Donor Experience, Data & Insight, and Digital Fundraising
- Develop and embed a cohesive donor experience strategy aligned to the wider Fundraising Strategy
- Design and implement a structured supporter journey framework, ensuring appropriate automation and personalisation across channels and income streams
- Drive innovation in stewardship, including digital engagement, journey design, automation, and personalisation
- Review and refine thanking, banking, fulfilment and supporter care processes to improve efficiency and supporter satisfaction

About the role
We are looking for a Head of Communications, someone with ambition and commitment to shape our approach to communications, internally and externally, and to help us understand how we talk about and demonstrate our impact as a funder. You will be part of a small team that helps to communicate the work of the Foundation externally, drives internal communication, and promotes the work of those we support.
The Head of Communications is a critical post, drawing together our shared story across the different areas of our work and communicating this to key audiences in support of our mission and vision. The communications team plays a crucial role in advancing our commitment to being an anti-racist funder and working towards greater diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and you will lead on how this is embedded into all of our internal and external communications activity. We are looking for a permanent and full-time member of staff to help develop and communicate RSTMH’s role within tropical medicine and global health. We need a passionate and creative communicator who can play a key role in meeting our communications objectives. RSTMH is a membership society formed in 1907, with around 1,800 members and Fellows in over 100 countries. This is a wide-ranging and exciting role. THE ROLE

Digital content

About the role

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of Centre 404’s fundraising strategy and drive innovative approaches across individual giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and community fundraising. You will play a key role in shaping our income generation, increasing our visibility, and maximising our impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Fundraising Strategy - develop and deliver a dynamic fundraising strategy across multiple income streams. Identify new opportunities and drive year‑on‑year income growth.
- Engage & Inspire Supporters - build strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, and local communities. Create compelling fundraising campaigns, events, and cases for support. Nurture long‑term supporter loyalty, including legacy and in‑memory giving.
- Secure Grants & Manage Bids - research and secure funding from trusts and foundations. Monitor reporting requirements and maintain excellent funder relationships.
- Grow Community & Corporate Partnerships - network widely to raise Centre 404’s profile. Secure financial support, gifts in kind and employee engagement. Support individuals and teams to succeed in their own fundraising efforts.

About You
- Substantial experience in fundraising from at least one of the following: trusts and foundations, corporates or individual giving.
- Substantial understanding of charity sector regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical fundraising standards.
- Knowledge of donor stewardship and supporter engagement strategies.
- A track record of achieving and exceeding fundraising targets.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and campaigns.
- Excellent project management, data monitoring, and CRM experience.

As a key member of the Creative Content team, the Senior Graphic Designer will lead on and produce all aspects of creative design and branded materials. Responsible for ensuring heightened creativity and brand consistency, the Graphic Designer will act as a brand guardian, leading creativity across the organisation to elevate IR’s brand.
The Graphic Designer will lead on creating engaging designs for a variety of briefs from ideation through to concepts development, design and final creative products for Islamic Reliefs fundraising, marketing, advocacy, UK programmes campaigns and initiatives.
They are responsible for producing a diverse range of high-quality, innovative, and engaging digital and print materials that showcase IR’s progressive humanitarian work both nationally and internationally.
The role involves creating and developing visual assets across multiple channels, including direct mail packs, posters, leaflets, project booklets, fundraising materials and emergency appeal communications, social media graphics, digital ads, event marketing materials, advocacy campaign assets, website visuals, and published reports. The post holder will also occasionally support video production for campaigns.
This position requires a strong combination of creativity and technical expertise to deliver and coordinate all aspects of design work. The successful candidate will be comfortable working to tight deadlines, consistently delivering high-quality outputs that align with IRUK brand guidelines.
The successful candidate must have:
- A qualification or relevant experience in Graphic Design
- Proven experience of producing designs from ideation, concepts through to final creative assets
- Experience in storyboarding and presenting ideas creatively
- Proven experience in producing graphic design assets for all digital and print platforms including direct mail packs, magazines, and print reports
- Experience in producing varied graphic design assets for digital ads
- Experience in developing and elevating brand identity through multiple design projects
- Proven experience of working with multiple stakeholders and clients
- Be artistic in producing graphically animated sequences
- Creative and innovative approach to work
- Excellent research skills to successfully market products aimed at IR’s diverse donor base
