Greyhound Trust is looking for its first-ever Individual Giving Manager; a pivotal role in our growing Income Generation & Engagement team. This is a chance to shape, grow, and lead our individual giving programme from the ground up, helping us care for and home more greyhounds across the UK.

For nearly 50 years, the Greyhound Trust has supported greyhounds transitioning from racing into loving homes where they can thrive. Each year, with an annual income of around £4.5m, we home thousands of dogs, relying on a passionate network of staff, branches, and volunteers.
The world is changing, and so is the way people engage with causes they care about. We are now looking to grow and diversify our individual giving, building long-term relationships with supporters who share our commitment to the welfare of greyhounds. The Role
Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Engagement, you will be responsible for:

Creating, delivering, and evaluating a long-term Individual Giving strategy.

Building a diverse and sustainable portfolio of individual giving income streams, including regular giving, appeals, digital fundraising, mid-level giving, and legacy gifts.

Planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns that integrate with marketing, communications, and retail initiatives.

Using data and insight to drive performance, monitor results, and develop strong cases for support.

Supporting branches and volunteers in delivering individual giving initiatives.

Developing supporter journeys that encourage loyalty, growth, and long-term engagement.

Ensuring all activities comply with fundraising legislation, best practice, and data protection law.
This is a hands-on, strategic role that will allow you to take ownership of your programme while collaborating across the Trust to deliver impactful campaigns and initiatives.

BookTrust – Fundraising Lead (Individual Giving)
Location: Hybrid with a minimum of eight office days per month in either London (Farringdon) or Leeds office.
Salary: £55,000 per annum.
Contract: Permanent, full-time.
BookTrust, the charity that champions the power of reading, is seeking an individual expert to strengthen and expand its individual giving fundraising to secure the financial support needed to get even more children reading and fulfilling their potential.
BookTrust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, reaching over 1.3 million children and families across England, Wales and Northern Ireland each year and delivering evidence-informed programmes that make a measurable difference to children’s reading behaviours. Their work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves the chance to enjoy reading and all the lifelong benefits it brings. In recent years, the charity’s work has focused on helping children from low-income and vulnerable family backgrounds to become regular readers.
This role will lead and manage the Individual Giving team to design and deliver an innovative, supporter-centric programme with a strong focus on loyalty, and plans to expand fundraising channels including digital, community fundraising and legacies, and to develop new fundraising products and increase engagement with new and existing supporters.
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, High Value Giving Lead and colleagues throughout the organisation, the post-holder will maximise opportunities to increase income and lifetime value and deliver compelling fundraising campaigns with excellent stewardship activities across multiple channels.
The ideal candidate will be a creative and confident individual giving specialist with a track record across traditional and digital channels and covering all parts of the supporter journey from acquisition to long-term retention. Proven success growing individual giving income and a passion for public engagement will be a must, alongside the ability to work in a complex, multi-channel environment. An excellent communicator, you will be able to share the impact of BookTrust’s work in clear, compelling ways and use your collaborative and hands on leadership skills to motivate your team to achieve excellent outcomes for children and families.

About You
As the Philanthropy Manager, you will be a confident and persuasive communicator, comfortable engaging with supporters and stakeholders at all levels. You will have a solid knowledge of philanthropic giving and a deep appreciation of the value of high-quality donor stewardship. Highly organised and detail-focused, you will enjoy working with data and be skilled at producing compelling content both on and offline. You will bring initiative, creativity and the ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.
The Philanthropy Manager is a new donor-facing role, which will focus on expanding and strengthening a major donor portfolio to increase five and six figure income from individual donors and family trusts for Art UK. You will lead on managing and growing Art UK’s philanthropic giving programme, which includes the Patrons and supporter events programme and our major donor activity. Working within an ambitious team, you will have the support of a freelance Prospect Researcher to identify new prospects, and the Development Manager and CRM Officer to develop donor journeys and relationship management systems. You will report to the Head of Development, work closely with the CEO and Chair of the Philanthropy Board, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a robust prospect pipeline through identification, research, cultivation and relationship-building to secure five-figure gifts and long-term support
- Manage a portfolio of mid-level individual donors, converting one-off supporters into deeper donor relationships
- Manage and grow Art UK’s mid-level regular giving programme, strengthening donor relationships through face-to face meetings, events and personalised communication
- Develop donor development strategies, using CRM to analysis and identify higher gift prospects from existing donor pool and maximise giving potential
- Lead on major gifts for annual Big Give campaigns, identifying and securing keystone pledge donors, and leveraging networks to reach giving targets
- Create and implement, effectively and in a timely manner, development plans for each donor to retain and upgrade donors and document all activities in CRM Beacon
- Prepare and personalise correspondence and fundraising materials, including donor stewardship and reports, funding proposals and acknowledgement letters as appropriate
- Work closely with the Marketing team and other colleagues to showcase Art UK’s work and enhance donor engagement
- Organise and deliver events for major donors and prospects (with support from the Development team), including attending events where appropriate
- Support management of the American Friends of Art UK (launching 2026), including donor stewarding and events programming
- Support senior leadership and board members in the preparation and delivery of high-quality donor pitches to secure new philanthropic gifts
- Monitor progress against targets and maintain accurate reporting, including updates to Art UK’s Board of Trustees and the Philanthropy Board
- Ensure pledges and donations are processed efficiently and that donors are thanked promptly and personally
- Work closely with all members of the Development team to ensure prospecting and cultivation activity is aligned and complementary
- Ensure all philanthropic fundraising activity is conducted in line with legal, regulatory and ethical best practice e.g. GDPR and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Code of Practice
