About the Role
The Senior Programme Development Lead (Lessons from Auschwitz Project and Ambassador Programme) Maternity Cover is accountable for the delivery of the Trust’s flagship Lessons from Auschwitz Project, and the Trust’s Youth Advocacy Programme (AKA Ambassador Programme), including all content and quality assurance related to the delivery of a portfolio of activity that falls within these programmes. The remit of the Senior Programme Development Lead (Lessons from Auschwitz Project and Ambassador Programme) Maternity Cover will include two areas of leadership:
1. The continued development and delivery of our Youth Advocacy/Ambassador Programme – the Trust’s youth engagement initiative. The SPDL is responsible for ensuring that through this programme the Trust engages young people across the country, ensuring they understand what the Holocaust was, inspiring them to be part of ensuring this history is remembered, and empowering them to recognise and address antisemitism when they see it today. The SPDL is responsible for driving a youth engagement strategy, which actively scales up the reach of the programme – bringing it to new audiences. They will be responsible for developing high quality, inspiring, engaging and empowering content to young people in England, Scotland and Wales – quality assuring the programme and all associated initiatives. The SPDL will be an advocate, internally and externally, for youth engagement and youth advocacy, ensuring the Trust’s voice and reputation plays a role in leading and shaping the sector and a future where young people play an active role in Holocaust remembrance and tackling antisemitism today.
2. Oversight of the Trust’s Government funded Lessons from Auschwitz Project, ensuring that the programme continues to reach students across the country each year; that it continues to be regarded as a globally recognised site-based learning initiative; that we are delivering in line with all associated KPIs; and importantly that the content continues to educate in-line with objectives, and continues to inspire young people to continue to engage with the Trust’s cause. This role will work closely with the Chief Programmes and Outreach Officer to drive delivery across programmes in line with the Trust’s strategic vision and strategic plans. The SPDL will work closely with the Senior Logistics Manager who will be accountable for schools marketing; engagement with and registration for all Trust programmes; all associated logistics for schools’ programmes; and ticketing and logistical support for the Ambassador Programme.

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
Following a recent departmental restructure, we’re entering an exciting period for the content team. This shift in the team structure highlights our commitment to making best in sector content – all in the name of our mission; to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately in young people.
We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Content who will be responsible for delivering our holistic content strategy over the next year. You’ll oversee the management, production and strategic placement of all organic content across CoppaFeel!’s channels, and in-house paid campaign activations. You’ll help shape CoppaFeel!’s approach to content so that it appeals, resonates with and converts our key audience of 18–24 year olds, as well as our supplementary audiences, across website, email and social channels.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing and alongside other Heads of Dept, bringing your expertise and knowledge to leadership discussions to help shape the future of the organisation. You’ll report to the Marketing Director and will line manage the Social Media Manager, Content Manager, and Web and Email Manager, and will have exposure to the Senior Management Team.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You’ll be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, but we’ll provide plenty of notice for when you’re required to be in for these purposes.
This is a fixed term role for 8 months.
Duties & Responsibilities

Deliver the holistic content strategy across digital and social channels (including website, email, search, social, and content creators) that will enhance the annual marketing strategy and drive awareness of CoppaFeel! and our mission amongst 18–24 year olds.

Work with the Web and Email Manager to develop and deliver the annual website and email content plan, including an optimisation plan.

Work with the Social Media Manager to produce social first content year round, in line with the social media and content strategy.

Work with the Content Manager to produce best in class long form content and content creator partnerships.

Oversee in house paid social media campaigns, primarily on Meta, with support from the Social Media Manager. Deliver training to the Social Media Manager to help them work towards activating these independently.

Oversee delivery of workflow processes for managing the content lifecycle, including producing, distributing, measuring, and retiring content.

Ensure all content is consistent with brand guidelines and tone of voice.

The Role
We’re seeking a visionary and collaborative Communications Lead to lead the next phase of our communications strategy. This role is about more than messaging — it’s about shaping a compelling and inspiring public voice for creative climate action.
You will be responsible for our brand, storytelling, content strategy, and creative outputs—ensuring that everything we do reflects our values, amplifies our impact, and deepens our reach across the cultural and climate landscape. About the role
The Head of Fundraising and Communications will lead the development and delivery of a systematic, data-driven, and project-managed approach to fundraising and communications — driving sustainable income growth and raising the charity’s profile and influence.
This role is first and foremost a fundraising leadership role. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Project Development
- Co-develop and deliver a UK-wide expansion strategy for Eat Smart
- Develop and manage the franchise/licensing model for national delivery partners
- Lead on the recruitment, onboarding, and support of partner organisations to deliver the Eat Smart programme effectively
Funding & Partnership Development
- Identify, establish and nurture partnerships with national and local government agencies, policy makers, school bodies and funders
- Build strategic relationships with relevant education, environment and community organisations
- Research relevant funding opportunities for delivery partners and Bind
- Support delivery partners with the submission of funding applications
UK Network Management & Evaluation
- Co-design/develop the Eat Smart monitoring and evaluation system to monitor KPIs and the environmental and social impact of Eat Smart across the UK
- Lead on the management of the monitoring and evaluation system, supporting delivery partners where necessary
- Create local and national impact reports for Eat Smart and use insights to inform improvement and growth
- Manage the support network of UK delivery partners, ensuring they are able to deliver the programme effectively
- Assist delivery partners with meetings with Local Authorities and catering organisations
Marketing & Communications
- Co-design and lead on delivery of annual Eat Smart conferences
- Represent Eat Smart at events, conferences, and networking opportunities across the UK
- Manage Eat Smart UK social media channels
- Develop digital and print materials to support programme promotion and recruitment
Person Specification
Essential:

- Understanding of third sector grant funding landscape and experience in successful bid writing
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Experience in partnership and stakeholder recruitment and management
- Ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams of partners remotely
- Experience with monitoring, evaluation, and reporting frameworks
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for improving environmental and education outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator and proficient in IT systems (shared documents, spreadsheets, Zoom/Teams/Meet, social media, website editing and emails)
Desirable:
- Interest in, and awareness of, food waste on a local and global level
- Experience in business development, franchise management, or operational leadership
- Experience working in education, environment or social impact sectors
- Knowledge of primary school systems
- Experience of community engagement in the UK
- Full driving license and access to own vehicle
** A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure Check will be required for the post, but a clean DBS certificate is not essential for the role - we will review employees with a criminal record on a case-by-case basis. **

Key Information
- Deadline for all applications is Mon 12th January 2026 at 9am – applications received after this date will not be considered.
- In-person interviews will take place on 21st January 2026 in Newcastle.
- Based in Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley but this role can be worked remotely/hybrid (some UK-wide travel required incl. a trip to Newcastle minimum monthly)
- Contract: 30-32 hours per week (with the option of increased hours during term-time and reduced hours in school holidays).
- The start date will be end of February 2026, but start dates will be discussed at interview.

Working closely with our CEO and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will help shape the strategic direction of our policy and communication efforts during this critical time.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in contributing to a vision for intersectional campaigns that call for systemic change, and for those with lived experience to lead the changes we need.

The salary will be £43,817 per annum, pro-rata. In addition, MRN contributes up to 6% of salary to pensions. We are keen to have someone start in the role immediately.
