The role
The Operations Director will lead the development, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Action Together’s systems, processes, and organisational infrastructure. Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will co-design, develop, and maintain internal systems and processes that enhance operational delivery and organisational efficiency, ensuring they are fully embedded into day-to-day use with clear ownership, guidance, and effective performance monitoring.
You will oversee core central functions including HR, Communications and Impact, Data Protection and Information Management, and Health & Safety. You will play a key role in internal digital transformation, policy development, risk management, and organisational compliance. You will produce high‑quality management information that supports strategic decision‑making, work closely with Locality Directors to standardise and enhance delivery models. In addition, with reference to our constitution and Scheme of Delegation you will be responsible for supporting governance at Board meetings, and the AGM.

About You

You’ll be confident using CRM databases and managing income streams such as Direct Debits and Gift Aid, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times. You thrive in a collaborative setting, working across departments and developing positive relationships with our members and other colleagues. You’re proactive, solutions-focused and able to balance competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work. Most importantly, you’ll be motivated by the impact that membership makes for the Museum and enthusiastic about contributing to the organisation’s mission and future growth.
Key Qualities, Skills, and Experience
- Experience working within a membership or fundraising function, ideally within an arts, culture or heritage context
- Strong experience of working with relational databases and CRM systems, with the ability to analyse data and produce meaningful reports
- Knowledge of Direct Debit processing and Gift Aid, with a clear understanding of handling financial and personal data securely and compliantly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing newsletters or member communications
- Strong administrative skills, high levels of accuracy and confidence working with numerical data
- Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines and work collaboratively across teams

The opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Director of Finance and Resources to help ensure the Trust is financially strong, operationally effective, and strategically equipped to deliver maximum impact for people with cystic fibrosis.
This is not just a finance leadership role. It is a mission-critical position at the heart of the organisation, where sound financial stewardship, thoughtful investment, and values-led decision-making directly support better outcomes for the CF community.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be a key strategic partner to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees. With oversight of a £15m budget, you will lead a multidisciplinary directorate encompassing Finance, IT and digital transformation, People and Organisation Development, Strategy and Business Intelligence, Facilities, and Company Secretariat functions.

The role
The HR Services Manager role will be focused on continuity of critical HR operations. The role will be responsible for the following:

About you
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced HR Generalist with strong operational expertise across payroll, benefits, HR systems and employee relations. You will be confident managing UK payroll, including statutory requirements, and handling employee relations matters independently and with sound judgement.
You will be highly organised and resilient, able to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Discreet and professional, you will handle sensitive information with care and integrity.
A clear and approachable communicator, you will build trusted relationships with managers and colleagues, offering practical advice and identifying sensible improvements where they add value.

As Treasury Manager at Alzheimer's Society, you'll ensure we can confidently meet our commitments to people affected by dementia by managing our cash flow, income streams, and reserves effectively.
About the opportunity
As Treasury Manager within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll own our Treasury and Accounts Receivable functions, playing a vital role in our financial sustainability. You'll monitor our cash position, forecast cash flow across diverse income streams from online fundraising platforms to direct donations and community collections, and manage banking relationships to ensure we optimise our working capital and invest our reserves wisely.
This isn't a back-office role. You'll be a highly visible partner to budget holders and business partners across the organisation, providing the treasury insights that enable confident financial planning and investment. You'll ensure we have the liquidity needed to support our work as income flows in from our incredible fundraisers, navigating the complexities of restricted and unrestricted funds to safeguard every pound raised and maximise our impact.
Using data and metrics as your tools, you'll drive performance improvements while supporting the development of our Accounts Assistants team. Your ability to balance rigorous treasury controls with collaborative partnership will be essential to success in this role.
This role will focus approximately 80% on Treasury and 20% on Accounts Receivable.
About you:
You're an experienced treasury professional who enjoys using forecasting and data to provide strategic financial insights. You excel at optimising cash positions and working capital, and you can translate complex treasury information into clear, practical guidance for budget holders and business partners. You bring fresh thinking to treasury challenges and understand that strong cash management enables organisations to achieve their goals.
You'll have:
- Proven treasury or cash management experience in a medium to large organisation, including cash flow forecasting, cash positioning, and banking relationship management.
- Effective forecasting and analytical skills with the ability to model scenarios and provide strategic cash insights to support decision-making.
- Experience managing banking relationships, optimising cash deployment, and working with multiple bank accounts and treasury systems.
- Track record in managing end-to-end accounts receivable processes, including invoice generation, reconciliation, and collections.
- Ability to develop and motivate teams using a high challenge, high support approach, particularly those undertaking professional development.
- Good communication and influencing skills, with proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across departments.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with strong ability to analyse, interpret and present financial data effectively.
- Understanding of financial accounting systems and how they integrate with treasury operations; charity sector experience is beneficial but not essential.
What you'll focus on:
- Managing treasury operations including monitoring daily cash position, forecasting cash flow, and optimising cash deployment across the organisation.
- Owning banking relationships, negotiating terms with financial institutions, and ensuring efficient payment and receipting processes.
- Producing cash flow forecasts and treasury reports that inform executive decision-making and enable strategic investment planning.
- Managing end-to-end accounts receivable processes from invoice generation and account reconciliation to debt recovery and customer service.
- Driving performance through data by owning and reporting on key treasury and AR metrics, using insights to deliver continuous improvement.
- Leading and developing the Accounts Assistants team, creating a culture of high challenge, high support, and professional growth.
- Strengthening controls by proactively identifying treasury risks, process inefficiencies, and implementing effective solutions.
- Working collaboratively across directorates to improve financial practice and ensure robust, efficient operations.

About the role
We are excited to be recruiting a Finance Coordinator to support the Finance team to fulfil day-to-day objectives and help the wider organisation to deliver the goals set out in Join the Club 2021-2026 and beyond.
The Finance Coordinator position will report to the Finance Manager. The role will manage a varied workload that includes checking and approving expenses, bank reconciliations, purchase invoices, maintaining purchase orders, support credit control, managing the Finance inbox and phone, responding to staff and supplier queries and supporting the Finance team with the departmental targets. The role requires an enthusiastic individual with an eye for detail and good interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and external stakeholders. To ensure excellent working relationships are maintained, they will be effective communicators with staff and external stakeholders. They will continually improve in their areas of responsibility, looking at how the Finance department can be more efficient and implementing new ideas. They will be positive and proactive, with a commitment to delivering excellent standards.
While this role can be based in our London or Leeds offices, some travel will be required to London for events and to attend in-person meetings.
