Job description

This is a great opportunity for a candidate to build on their fundraising experience or step into a corporate fundraising role transferring their current skills. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual to help develop our corporate partnerships. This role is the ideal launchpad into corporate fundraising and, for the right candidate will include opportunities for training, development and progression.

The role will combine building current relationships, researching and securing income from a range of new and existing partners. Alongside the opportunity to train and develop your skills within fundraising.

About the Charity:

You will work in a successful team at a leading charity with an international reputation in its field, with some great staff and volunteers, a great working atmosphere, working very close to the cause. (We are a charity providing services for people with a spinal cord injury and family members. Quite a few people in the office either have a spinal cord injury or are family members. Either would be useful for this role, but neither is expected.)

Every four hours in the UK, someone will sustain a spinal cord injury and become paralysed. Their life and the lives of those around them will be changed forever – Back Up exists to help people pick up the pieces and get things back on track again.

For a glimpse at the lighter-side of life at Back Up, please check out this video.
