Cerebral Palsy Sport (CP Sport) a £300,000 turnover is a national charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with cerebral palsy through sport and physical activity. As the sole charge Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the charity's financial operations, ensuring compliance with charity accounting standards, and providing strategic financial advice to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.

This is a senior, part-time role ideal for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a small charity environment where flexibility, accuracy, and initiative are key.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts with commentary on variances.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled.
• Oversee cashflow management, forecasts, and reserves monitoring.
• Prepare annual budgets and support budget holders in financial planning.
• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts under the Charities SORP (FRS 102).
• Liaise with external auditors, ensuring timely completion of the annual audit.
• Produce reports for the Chief Executive, Finance Committee, and Board of Trustees.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and charity financial regulations.

About this role

SPANA is investing in its Grants and Compliance function to strengthen financial oversight and accountability across its global partnerships. STOP THE TRAFFIK prevents vulnerable communities from being recruited, trafficked, and exploited. Our targeted prevention efforts disrupt the criminal business of human trafficking, making it too high-risk and low-profit to be viable.

This role will sit within the Development Team to support the smooth and efficient operation of the charity. This role will assist in managing financial processes and lead on key people operations to maintain a transparent, inclusive, and positive working environment.

This position is ideal for someone seeking part-time work who holds previous experience working in a finance team, but is seeking a more diverse role that also includes opportunity to enhance operating systems, policies, and practices of the organisation for smooth running.

Finance Operations

· Oversee the Operations Officer to reconcile transactions, issue invoices, process payments, and file quarterly Gift Aid claims ensuring accuracy.

· Prepare regular budgets, cash flows, and clear financial reporting for the Senior Leadership Team to support data-driven decision-making.

· Manage STOP THE TRAFFIK’s bank accounts, ensuring the safe handling and ethical investment of reserves.

· Produce quarterly financial papers for the Board of Trustees and lead on the annual audit process, preparing all necessary documentation for external auditors.

· Liaise with the Oasis Finance Department who support STOP THE TRAFFIK to ensure smooth coordination of accounting processes and compliance with organisational standards.

People Operations

· Review organisational policies annually, ensuring they reflect current legislation and best practice, with support from the Operations Officer.

· Serve as the organisation’s Data Protection Officer (with access to pro-bono legal and data protection advisors).

· Oversee recruitment processes, supporting hiring managers to ensure equitable, transparent, and inclusive hiring practices.

· Coordinate quarterly team surveys, analyse feedback, and make recommendations to strengthen workplace culture and wellbeing.

· Maintain our network of pro-bono legal advisors and support staff in accessing timely advice on contracts or compliance matters.

Financial accounting, controls, compliance, and audit

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

The Role

CoppaFeel! is looking for a Head of Finance and Contracts to as we continue to grow and develop the organisation’s internal operations. As Head of Finance and Contracts, you’ll oversee all aspects of financial management and contractual compliance across the charity.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for managing and developing our small finance team, while also leading on budgeting, funder reporting and forecasting. Alongside this, you’ll oversee the organisation’s contracts ensuring we’re operating in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office at least two days per week. Part time can be considered for this role.

The Head of Finance and Contracts will sit within the CoppaFeel! Finance Team, report to the Finance Director, and line manage the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant.

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Line manage the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant, providing guidance, support, continuous improvement and performance oversight.

• Actively participate in Leadership Team meetings, contributing to the development and achievement of strategic objectives.

• Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to inform long-term decision-making and business growth.

Financial Strategy & Reporting

• Lead the annual budgeting and reforecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

• Oversee monthly management accounts; meet regularly with Heads of Department (HoDs)to monitor spend and evaluate impact.

• Support with the preparation draft statutory accounts and coordinate audit queries.

• Conduct financial analysis, working with HoDs to assess ROI across key projects and income streams.

Operational Finance

• Ensure the effective day-to-day running of the finance function, including payroll, VAT, cashflow, and working capital management.

• Maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and best-practice requirements.

• Identify financial risks and implement proportionate mitigation strategies.

Contracts, Funding & Governance

• Provide financial oversight for grant and corporate funding applications, ensuring financial viability and compliance.

• Oversee contracts with suppliers, partners, and funders, working with legal advisers where required.

• Support the Finance Committee reporting and cover for the Finance Director if necessary.

• Monitor and respond to changes in financial, legal, and regulatory requirements affecting the organisation.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or equivalent senior-level financial experience.

• Proven experience in charity finance, working knowledge of SORP, compliance, contracting and supporting audits.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

• Senior-level finance leadership experience, including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and statutory reporting.

• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to provide clear financial insight to non-financial stakeholders.

• High level of integrity, accountability, and strong attention to detail.

• Strong technical proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, accounting software).

Desirable

• Understanding of impact and ROI evaluation in a charity context.

Job description:

We are looking for a motivated Finance Officer to join our team and support the day-to-day accounting functions across Norfolk Rivers Trust and its trading arm Rivers Ecology Limited. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Finance, helping to maintain accurate financial records, provide timely reporting, and support project teams with budget monitoring. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to learn, develop, and implement new systems and technology to improve efficiency, while playing a key role in helping the Trust achieve its mission to protect and enhance our water environments.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Financial Processes

• Ensure all financial activities are correctly entered into the company’s accounting system, including both purchase and sales ledgers, and the general ledgers for Norfolk Rivers Trust and its trading arm, Rivers Ecology Limited.
• Oversee supplier payments and prepare regular payment runs, managing new supplier details and bank amendments securely.
• Manage the sales invoicing process to ensure income is invoiced, recorded, and followed up promptly.
• Oversee monthly entry of staff timesheets and expenses into the accounting system.

Education and experience

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for tasks such as ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations are completed and addressing any variances or discrepancies as part of month-end processes or preparing month-end management accounts for review by the Head of Finance. You will be supporting the Charity’s aim of maintaining strong governance across both charitable and commercial operations.

Additional information

The Finance Officer is a newly created role that marks an exciting step in the Charity’s transition toward greater in-house financial management. Previously managed under a service level agreement with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, key aspects of financial management are now being brought into the organisation to strengthen control and governance.

Day-to-day financial transaction processing will continue to be delivered by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust during the initial months of the role, therefore, the postholder will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with their finance team to ensure seamless operations and continuity across the Charity group. These are anticipated to transfer to the Charity group with the postholder taking on a subset of these responsibilities within the first year in post.

This post would suit an individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, evolving environment, where responsibilities may shift in response to organisational priorities.
