The Opportunity:
The Aspiring Professionals Programme Coordinator (APPC) role will be well-suited to someone who is focused on the best ways they can help the aims of the charity as well as those of our participants and partners. An APPC is responsible for supporting the delivery and development of the Social Mobility Foundation’s programme of activities for young people through their S5-6/sixth form and university years.
The SMF offers in-person and online support and opportunities, so this role will involve providing virtual and in-person support to students and working with employers across the UK.
Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Project Delivery
- Deliver key projects including recruiting and onboarding students, creating digital resources and student events
- Support with programme pilots, scoping (and delivering on) new activity
- Collaborate and build relationships with our employer partners, schools, and universities to support our young people in their applications for university, internships and graduate roles
2. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Maintain accurate records across relevant databases, updating data accurately and in a timely manner
- Contribute to evaluation for key work areas (residentials, events, internships etc), produce high quality evaluation reports where required.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Communicate to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
- Proactively update external partners (i.e. employers) on your work areas, flagging risks in a timely manner with relationship managers
- Manage internal student queries and maintain consistent stakeholder (e.g. students) processes through regular communication
4. Activity Delivery
- Coordinate planning and delivery of skills sessions, partner events, university visits, and other activities, both virtually and in person across the Social Mobility Foundation’s target cities across the UK

Ways of working:
- Most of our work is office based, but you will spend a lot of time collaborating with other teams and clients via email, telephone and other communications channels such as Teams or Zoom.
- This role requires you to attend staff residentials for students on our Programme. This means that during the summer period (Jul – Aug) you will be expected to stay overnight on-site (in the UK - exact location to be confirmed closer to the time) for a period of up to two-weeks, help run the residential and be responsible for the welfare of the young people involved.
Travel:
- Some travel, to other offices and other locations, will occasionally be expected.

Role Description
The Programme Coordinator will be tasked with ensuring the smooth running of all student related events. This will include having a full understanding of the SEO-London law programmes; understanding the legal industry that the programme supports; how these fits into the SEO-London organisation and using this knowledge to liaise with students and client/partner firms to run, organise and market successful events. In turn this role will be responsible for using data to run reports to show the impact of each programme.
Reporting to the Head of Law Programme, you will make recommendations for possible changes and ideas to further support the student experience. The role will also ensure a seamless and professional level of customer care to all students of the Corporate Law Programme and City Solicitors Horizons scheme.
Accountabilities
DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS
- Responsible for the overall administration of all student events, with specific responsibility to ensure student communication is exceptional. Including event management, student and partner communication and coordination of all the relevant stakeholders, along with posting roles on opportunities pages, promoting events and managing the law commercial awareness newsletter content.
STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING
- Responsible for the relationship management of the students - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO-London
- Responsible for managing student query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events
- Responsible for managing the programme inbox (where applicable)
- Responsible for identifying creative and innovative ways to connect, educate and train students
- Provide oversight of cv support, screening, and recruitment preparation
- Responsible for attending campus events and representing SEO-London professionally with knowledge and enthusiasm
- Organise mentoring and buddying allocations
QUALITY ASSURANCE
- Responsible for ensuring that all information relating to the events and student data is managed within the GDPR guidelines and is updated in Salesforce effectively for tracking purposes. Responsible for running reports to track and monitor events from the CRM.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for applicants with 1–2 years of experience in some of the areas listed below and a willingness to learn and develop additional skills:
Essential
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver engaging online sessions
- Excellent business writing and organisational skills
- Strong stakeholder management abilities
- A keen interest in, and some knowledge of, an aspiring solicitor’s early career journey (school and university stages)
- A collaborative team player with a “can-do” attitude, able to handle requests at short notice and work under pressure
- Ability to use Teams and Zoom, including creating and managing breakout rooms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred
- Project management experience
- Experience with database management and data analysis, including applicant tracking systems (such as Salesforce)
- Familiarity with Canva and digital communication platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and WhatsApp

Our client is an independent, Lambeth-based, grant-making foundation and charity with roots from the early 17th century. Their work aims to break cycles of financial deprivation for people living in Lambeth by awarding grants to individuals, organisations and community groups. The foundation’s grant-making is primarily focused on improving education and employment opportunities of young Lambeth residents from low-income backgrounds. This is an exciting time to join the organisation which is in the early stages of an evolving strategic review.
Prospectus is delighted to be working with the foundation on their search for a Grants Officer, who will support the Head of Grants and the wider team in the development of a place-based grants strategy. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Lambeth, London (Hybrid working – 2 days from home 3 days in the office).
The role:
This role will work across all aspects of the foundation’s grant-making activities including assessing and administering grant applications from individuals, working with organisations to develop effective and appropriate reporting and supporting the development of new streams of work. The role requires lots of contact with Grantees (initially via email and telephone) and will involve monitoring & evaluation, project development and administration process management. This role will also contribute ideas towards planning new initiatives and keeping abreast of trends and issues facing the voluntary sector, both nationally and in the Lambeth area.
The work requires outstanding attention to detail and effective time management. The post holder will also undertake assessments in relation to grants to organisations, and other grant-making duties and functions as required by the Head of Grants. The post will sit alongside an existing team of three who also undertake multiple roles to ensure the foundation’s grant-making is consistent, focussed and effective.
The person:
This person will have a high level of intellectual and analytical ability, this could be evidenced by having studied to degree level, a professional qualification of some kind or having worked at a comparable level of complexity in a professional office-based environment. They will have a solid understanding of the issues facing young people (18 to 30) from low-income backgrounds and will have the ability to present clear written assessment reports, making recommendations and decisions and the ability to think strategically as well as practically, to ensure the foundation is living its values. They will have excellent attention to detail and will be an effective time manager. Ideally, this person will have experience of Salesforce database (or similar) and possibly have a local knowledge of Lambeth and the surrounding areas.
IT competent, numerate, and highly organised, this person will have experience of grant-making or at least an understanding of its principles, hopefully a knowledge of the welfare and benefits framework and will be fully appreciative of the issues raised in a multi-cultural setting and an understanding of and a commitment to, issues of diversity and equality. Above all this person will recognise the importance and value of the work of the foundation and will be fully committed to bringing everything they have to the table, in supporting and driving forward the charitable aims and objectives of the organisation, whilst contributing to a happy, proactive and collaborative team working environment.

Your purpose
To support our CEO, Director of Strategic Development and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to engage partners in our strategic planning, including to influence the implementation of the new national curriculum and guidance on oracy and establish a new advisory board to inform our strategy. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our partnerships strategy using email communications, providing administration and leading on planning for a series of meetings, round table discussions and partnership events. This will include working closely with the events team organising the flagship Voice 21 events, the Speaking Summit in March 2026 and Great Oracy Exhibition in October 2026.

Your responsibilities
Partner relationships & communications

Ensure that communications to partners are sent in a clear and timely manner, using either automation or other systems e.g. mail merge.

Coordinate processes for partnership meetings and roundtables, e.g. the booking process for participants and arrangements relating to special adjustments etc.

Use our Customer Relationship Management (CRM), SalesForce, to create records and collect and update partner data.
Meeting coordination & delivery

Arrange all key activities for events you are responsible for. This could include Advisory Board meetings (online and in person), visits to schools or roundtable and briefing meetings. Manage invites and book venues, reminder/follow up communications, and ensure feedback is captured and collated.

Find solutions to problems e.g. technical issues in an online course; booking an additional venue due to increased demand.
