Operational responsibilities:
Income generation and external partnerships
- Hold overall accountability for income generation across trusts and foundations, statutory funding, corporate partnerships, major donors and community fundraising.
- Developer and deliver a statutory fundraising strategy to maximise income from government, NHS, lottery and public sector funders.
- Lead and write high-quality funding bids, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and operational teams to shape compelling programme proposals.
- Oversee the management of the charity's current grant portfolio; ensuring grant applications and reports are delivered on time and in accordance with internal processes.
- Ensure that the voice, experience and dignity of refugees are meaningfully and ethically reflected in all fundraising and communication activity.

Person Specification:
Role Specific Competencies
- Significant experience leading high-value fundraising across multiple income streams, with a strong track record of income growth in a large charity.
- Demonstrable success securing and stewarding 6- and 7-figure partnerships or donations from corporate partners, trusts/foundations, statutory funders and/or major donors.
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and delivery levels, balancing leadership with selective frontline fundraising.
- Experience managing senior fundraisers or managers with responsibility for discrete income streams.

Job Summary:
The Corporate & Events Fundraiser will help to drive income for the organisation through the effective planning, delivery and operation of CRASH’s growing Corporate Patron programme and event portfolio.
This is a pivotal role in enabling CRASH to achieve its goals – helping developing relationships with new and long-term corporate patrons. Communicating the organisation’s work to build lasting relationships and future support. It is an important role as one of the first points of contact for CRASH, both internally and externally.
Reporting to the Corporate Partnership Manager, the Corporate and Events Fundraiser will be responsible for driving engagement, loyalty and income through innovative corporate patron fundraising activities and events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Patrons

Ensure excellent stewardship of existing and new corporate donors, working with the Corporate Fundraising Manager to create innovative strategies to generate high levels of loyalty and commitment, fostering and enhancing their long-term relationship with the charity. This includes organising bi-annual meetings.

Produce annual Corporate Patrons Social Impact Reports.

Organise dates for lunch and learn presentations with Corporate Patrons.

Lead of fundraising campaigns such as Big March and Christmas Campaign. These campaigns aim to achieve an income target set annually.

Work with colleagues to ensure that any potential corporate patrons are communicated with and are developed to their fullest potential.
2. Events / Award Evening

Organising and managing CRASH Events whilst promoting the charity's cause and engaging with attendees and volunteers.

Support Corporate Patrons with their fundraising initiatives provide materials. QR codes and guidance on Just Giving platforms.

Manage the Run for Charity Relationships. Draft content and communications to promote running events. Manage relationships with individuals participating in fundraising runs to ensure their needs are met and encourage continued support.

Manage the attendance at Award Evenings preparing for attendance at award evenings and charitable collections which may include securing raffle prizes from Corporate Patrons. This may be outside of working hours, and you will receive time off in lieu to compensate.

Recruiting volunteers from Corporate Patrons for regular events and award evenings.

Ensure events are delivered to a high standard of safety, accessibility, participant experience and financial success.
3. Finance

Acknowledge corporate patron donations, attending cheque presentations and photo opportunities as necessary, working with Marketing and Communications Manager to generate positive media coverage.

Ensure the monthly management of all income is recorded and reconciled accurately and promptly on Access database.

Ensure Gift Aid claims are completed and submitted after each CRASH event working in collaboration with the Finance Manager.

Overview
High energy costs are a nightmare for millions of UK households, while huge profits are made at our expense. Poor housing and heating systems are a key part of the problem, along with dependence on polluting, climate-changing fossil fuels. FPA is a campaigning organisation that sets out to attack the root causes of fuel poverty along with the specific injustices facing people and communities. We want to see the UK’s energy system decarbonised as rapidly as possible, with a just transition for communities and workers that includes affordability.
Working closely with pensioners groups, trades unions, disabled campaigners, tenants’ organisations and others on the frontline of fuel poverty, we’re using protest and direct action to fight for real, sustainable solutions to the cold homes crisis. We are looking for a committed operations person and fundraiser who shares our passion and values, to oversee systems and processes which support our strategy and core team to do their best work.
About the role
Fuel Poverty Action (FPA) was started in 2011 by climate activists who wanted to ensure that the green energy transition doesn’t happen at the expense of those with less social and economic power. Rather, they saw the break with fossil fuels as an opportunity to end the scourge of fuel poverty in the UK - a chance to rethink priorities and design inequality out of the energy system.
We are seeking a new, well-organised Operations Lead to slot into this structure, to take care of administrative and operational functions and support the Directors with fundraising: bids, budgets and reports, managing relationships with funders and cultivating a donor pipeline.
This role would suit someone familiar with the operational and HR elements of running a company or organisation, somebody with management experience who is caring and collaborative and comfortable juggling a varied workload.
Critically, we are seeking someone who shares our political vision, as reflected in the Energy For All manifesto (link in attachment).
Key responsibilities
- Administration: Managing the email inbox; maintaining up to date contacts and mailing lists; developing and refining systems, processes and platforms to support internal and campaign activities.
- Information management: Ensuring high standards of record keeping, data protection and secure information storage across the organisation, enabling staff and members to share and access resources and know-how.
- Fundraising: Creating and implementing a three-year fundraising plan; managing existing donor relationships and completing reports; working with directors/fundraising volunteers on grant bids and budgets.
- Line management: Providing light touch management for at least one colleague.
- HR functions: Overseeing recruitment and onboarding of new staff and freelancers, overseeing HR policies and contracts, identifying training needs and opportunities.
- Strategic thinking: Inputting into FPA’s long and short term strategic plans, with an eye to the setting and monitoring of appropriate targets.
- Writing and editing: Including overseeing the production of our Annual Report.
- Events: Organising online and in-person events and meetings, including annual strategy days and a 2026 conference.

Compensation Policy

Zoe’s Place is unique, we are the only baby specific Hospices in the U.K., with hospices located in Middlesbrough and Coventry and strive to promote and maintain our commitment to the local communities in each area.

The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage the fundraising team, supporting income generation to successfully meet annual objectives. The individual in this role will oversee the strategic planning and execution of all fundraising initiatives at our Middlesbrough Hospice.
