About the role
This is a pivotal role within our newly established Prospect Development and Insight function, giving you the opportunity to shape how we identify, research, and prioritise the high‑value prospects who can make transformational gifts to Macmillan.
You will be responsible for feeding high‑quality insight directly to fundraisers, supporting them to grow pipelines, prioritise approaches, and unlock opportunities across corporate partnerships, philanthropy, and trusts. You’ll use a wide range of research techniques and tools to identify prospects, evaluate their potential, support risk management through due diligence, and provide concise, high‑impact briefings for fundraisers and senior leaders.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify high‑value prospects using press scanning, wealth screening, network mapping, and research tools.
- Produce clear and concise prospect profiles, briefings and event research for fundraisers and senior stakeholders.
- Conduct due diligence on prospects and donors, assessing risks and escalating where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with fundraisers to support pipeline development, prioritisation and movement of prospects.
- Provide market insight and trend analysis to help shape fundraising strategy and highlight new opportunities.
- Ensure all research activity complies with GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and internal policies.
About you
The successful candidate will bring:
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to summarise complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.
- Excellent IT, database, research, analytical and organisational skills, including the ability to manipulate data to extract insights.
- Good awareness and understanding of the current corporate and philanthropy fundraising landscape.
- An enquiring mind, with the ability to challenge conventional thinking and draw out fresh perspectives on opportunities for donor development.
The following skills are nice-to-have but can be developed in‑role:
- Experience in prospect research, including identifying and prioritising prospects, network mapping, due diligence and developing gift capacity ratings.
- Experience using relational databases, ideally Raiser’s Edge.

The Individual Giving Manager will lead the development of RLSS UK’s first comprehensive individual giving programme, building all activity from the ground up. This includes designing compelling supporter propositions, establishing donor journeys, and creating engaging campaigns that drive acquisition and long-term support.
A key part of the role will be scoping, procuring, and managing external suppliers, agencies, platforms, and partners required to deliver individual giving products and activity. This includes the development and future launch of new income streams for RLSS UK, such as a charity lottery, as well as regular giving, legacy marketing, and in-memory giving opportunities.
The postholder will play a central role in shaping the future of supporter engagement at RLSS UK, introducing best practice, ensuring strong stewardship, and embedding a supporter‑centred culture across the organisation.
JOB PURPOSE
To develop, launch, and grow RLSS UK’s first individual giving programme, building sustainable income streams that support our vital work in water safety education. As the first dedicated individual giving role, you will design the strategy and deliver hands on activity, creating compelling propositions, supporter journeys and campaigns across regular giving, one‑off gifts, lottery, legacies and in‑memory giving.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Strategy
- Develop RLSS UK’s first Individual Giving strategy, setting clear plans, targets, and opportunities for growth across all giving products.
- Introduce and embed best practice in compliance, data management, supporter care, and ethical fundraising.
Supplier and Partner Development
- Scope organisational needs and procure/manage suppliers, agencies and platforms required to deliver individual giving activity.
- Lead onboarding and manage delivery to agreed standards, budgets and timelines.
Supporter Engagement and Campaign Development
- Design end‑to‑end supporter journeys (acquisition, welcome, nurture, upgrade, reactivation, retention).
- Plan and deliver multi‑channel campaigns (digital, social, email, paid, direct mail) to acquire, retain and engage supporters.
- Build audience understanding through segmentation, insight and experimentation.
- Work closely with Marketing and Communications, Membership, and other teams to embed Individual Giving into the organisation.
Product Development
- Scope and pilot propositions for: Regular Giving, Digital one‑off, Charity Lottery, Legacy Giving, In‑Memory, Appeals/integrated campaigns, and Mid‑value.
- Produce product business cases with KPIs, budgets, phasing and implementation plans.
Reporting and Evaluation
- Establish reporting and monitoring frameworks for Individual Giving activity.
- Use early data and insight to inform decision‑making, future planning, and product development.
- Ensure all activity complies with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, GDPR, PECR and Gambling Commission requirements.
- Monitor and report on individual giving performance against KPIs and targets, reporting on performance to the Director of Income Generation and Engagement, Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.
Other Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
1. Training and Development
- Collaborate with Learning and Development Lead and Practice Team to ensure training programs are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.

Can you help us?
We are looking for a creative, proactive events professional to help us build on our existing events offer. You will lead a small team to develop and deliver the College’s events programme, including our annual conference, to increase engagement with the sexual and reproductive healthcare community and raise the College’s profile with new and existing audiences.
The role:
Events management
- Works with the wider CoSRH team, including members of the College, to develop an annual events programme to meet our educational responsibilities, provide networking and membership growth opportunities and raise the profile of the College
- Works with and supports members and staff through project groups to deliver events (digital, in-person and hybrid), including programme design, speaker and stakeholder liaison, logistics, and evaluation
- Works closely with the Marketing and Digital teams, develops project timelines for events and conferences ensuring clear definitions of roles and responsibilities for delivery of projects
- Selects and manages all technology and systems required to deliver remote/digital events, including sourcing, selection, implementation, and management of CoSRH hosting and communications platforms (e.g. Teams, Zoom) as well as subscription management and linkage with external organisation systems where required

Zoe’s Place is seeking a Head of Fundraising to lead our team of fantastic fundraisers at the Middlesbrough Hospice. This position presents an excellent opportunity to join the Charity during a pivotal period in its development.
Zoe’s Place is unique, we are the only baby specific Hospices in the U.K., with hospices located in Middlesbrough and Coventry and strive to promote and maintain our commitment to the local communities in each area.
We’re incredibly proud of our hospices. We provide palliative, respite and end of life care to children aged 0 – 5 years old with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. With our team of specialist nurses offering 24-7 care and support, we’ve created a safe, caring and fun place, where parents know that their child will receive the best care possible - a home away from home.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage the fundraising team, supporting income generation to successfully meet annual objectives. The individual in this role will oversee the strategic planning and execution of all fundraising initiatives at our Middlesbrough Hospice.
The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate confidence, compassion, ambition, and strong organisational skills, along with the capacity for creative and strategic thinking. They should possess a genuine passion for their work, excel in independent tasks with minimal supervision, and have the ability to influence, motivate, and persuade others effectively.
Due to the nature of the position the post holder may need to work unsocial hours to meet the needs of the role.
Additional benefits:
- 5% salary employer pension contribution p/a.
