We’re looking for a fluent Welsh-speaking Communications, PR & Marketing Lead who can turn strategy into compelling public storytelling and measurable borrowing growth. This is a hands-on, outward-facing role for someone confident producing high-quality content, leading national campaigns, building media relationships, and testing ideas in a fast-moving, mission-led environment.
You’ll lead our communications and marketing strategy, deliver behaviour-change campaigns, manage digital channels, shape PR narratives, and support national pilots and partnerships. In order to make the most of the opportunity our redeveloped hall and rooms provide we are seeking to appoint a Venue Manager. We are looking for a personable and energetic individual, with experience in marketing and business development, to help us realise our vision, which puts All Saints Hall back at the heart of community life, both in all that we seek to do in service of the community – especially young people, children, families and those who are marginalised – and as a flexible and attractive space to hire for conferences and classes, parties, weddings and more.
Whilst the Venue Manager’s focus will, primarily, be on the Hall and its site, it is important that the individual integrates well into the wider staff team. It is also important that our new facilities are seen as one (albeit important) part of the greater whole. The Venue Manager will work closely with the Parish Manager and also our Property Manager, who will be a great resource for the successful candidate, knowing the building inside out.
It will be key for the person who is appointed to this role to understand the importance of mixed usage, for church and community, for outreach and for hires, and the successful candidate will be someone who sees this crucial mix as an opportunity and not a burden. Those already exploring using the Hall, for a range of different activities, are telling us that this is a great selling point, to have beautiful contemporary space, which has been invested in both for hire and for community work.
We very much hope that All Saints’ Hall becomes a busy hub, and it is envisaged that the Venue Manager will build relationships with suppliers, cleaning and security contractors and other assistance (including opening and closing) for times and events where that is appropriate.

Main Responsibilities
Marketing
- Developing and successfully executing a marketing strategy for the venue, building relationships with potential hirers and community groups.

Business Development

The Philanthropy Manager will develop a philanthropy strategy, building on the partnerships and resources already in place. You will develop a pipeline backed up by robust prospect research (some administrative assistance will be provided), and instigate a cultivation and stewardship programme, typically adopting a staged approach to major asks.
You will be accountable for the acquisition, development, and stewardship of high value supporters for CUF, both individual philanthropists and non-statutory grant-making bodies. You will develop and strengthen relationships with existing donors, as well as identifying warm prospects currently not supporting CUF financially. A key part of your role will be meeting and engaging major donor prospects to grow the pool.
You will engage with Trustees and senior leaders, to identify and nurture Christian philanthropists and grant body decision-makers within their spheres of influence.
You will lead on developing cases for support and writing grant applications, helped by the wider staff team.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with high levels of motivation, and the ability to both develop and operationalise strategy as a member of a small team. You will have a track record of successfully initiating, managing and developing relationships with High-Net-Worth individuals and grantmaking bodies, and securing donations and grants, via proposals or through face-to-face meetings, as required.

Job Purpose
This role sits at the heart of Operation Smile UK’s five-year strategy to deliver transformational growth across all income streams. As Retention Fundraising Lead, you will be instrumental in delivering on three of the four core strategic priorities:
1. Build Regular Giving – retain and maximise value from the regular giving base
2. Drive All Donors to Legacy – ensure donors experience best-in-class stewardship, increasing their loyalty to the charity with an objective of feeding into legacy and long-term giving goals.
3. Maximise Growth Through Digital Fundraising Integration – leading the expansion and optimisation of digital growth for all existing supporters.
The Retention Lead is responsible for delivering Operation Smile UK’s strategic individual giving retention and legacy marketing programme. This role is key to driving income growth from our existing donors from the point of recruitment, maximising value and minimising attrition from the regular giving pool and generating and retaining legacy actions and prospects.
You will lead on the strategy, planning, delivery and evaluation of retention campaigns, with full accountability for managing significant budgets, agency partnerships and performance metrics.
You will support the development of the Legacy strategy, be instrumental in planning legacy activity and delivering legacy marketing for the existing supporter base across all income streams and methods of support, from Partnerships, Volunteers and public fundraisers.
This is a senior, hands-on role suited to an experienced Individual giving fundraiser with strong commercial acumen and a data-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Campaign Leadership
- Develop and implement the retention strategy, aligned with income targets and supporter growth objectives.
- Lead on the planning and delivery of campaigns across cash, donor stewardship, legacy prospecting and stewardship, welcome, conversion, reactivation and upgrade appeals.
- Lead on strategic development of the cultivation journey to ensure Operation Smile maximise growth through digital channels.

The Deputy Service Manager will play a central role in the day-to-day leadership and development of Barnsley Street Project, a co-located pilot service operating with East London Foundation Trust (ELFT - NHS) and the Third Sector Mental Health Alliance partners. The service provides six hospitality beds for short-term stays and a drop-in service operating 8am-8pm for anybody in the community needing support with their mental health. This role is designed for a reflective, values-led manager who is comfortable working without fixed templates, and who can hold clinical, ethical, and organisational complexity.
Barnsley Street is intentionally experimental. It seeks to move away from coercive, compliance-driven models of mental health support and instead develop humane, relational, psychologically informed ways of working that prioritise choice, collaboration, dignity and proportionality in risk management. The Deputy Service Manager will work closely with the Service Manager to build, test and refine new processes in real time, while maintaining accountability, safety, and learning.
The post holder will provide operational leadership, line management and practice leadership to frontline staff. They will deputise for the Service Manager when required and act as a key interface between Look Ahead, ELFT and Third Sector colleagues, commissioners, and wider system partners.
Working pattern is 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility to support the supervision of Waking Night Support Workers.
What you'll do:
Practice & service leadership
* Provide day-to-day operational leadership of the service, supporting the development of a psychologically informed, anti-coercive and relational culture.
* Act as a visible practice leader, modelling curiosity, reflective thinking, and ethical decision-making in complex and uncertain situations.
* Work collaboratively with ELFT and Third Sector partners within the shared building, contributing to genuinely integrated ways of working.
* Support the development, testing and refinement of new ways of working, including alternatives to traditional risk assessment, escalation, and containment-focused responses.
* Hold and communicate the service's values and purpose, particularly when under pressure and scrutiny.
Risk, safeguarding & governance
* Lead a proportionate, relational and least-restrictive approach to risk, balancing safety with autonomy, dignity, and psychological safety.
* Support staff to think critically about risk management, encouraging a proportional response that puts the customer at the heart of the process.
* Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, held and responded to in line with statutory requirements, while maintaining a trauma-informed and non-punitive stance.
* Work alongside the Service Manager to ensure appropriate recording, learning, and reflective review of incidents, near-misses, and complexities.
* Contribute to a learning culture where mistakes, uncertainty, and anxiety can be thought about.
People management & staff development
* Provide direct line management, supervision, reflective space for Support Workers, Specialist Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers.
* Deliver high-quality supervision that integrates performance, wellbeing, emotional impact, and practice reflection.
* Support staff to develop confidence in working relationally and tolerating uncertainty.
* Identify learning and development needs within the team and support progression, retention, and succession planning.
* Foster a culture of trust, shared responsibility, and mutual accountability, avoiding micromanagement while maintaining clear boundaries and expectations.
