We are looking for a Global Events Manager (Fundraising), to develop and lead a Global Events Strategy for all fundraising-related events including Philanthropy, Mid-Level and Legacy, as well as involvement in wider organisational events, to engage and inspire mid-level and major donors and funders.
This role focuses on high-value donor engagement, rather than mass participation fundraising. You will lead events such as major gift donor receptions, mid-level donor gatherings, legacy supporter events, and occasional internal team away days.
This is a Surrey based Hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office.

The Role
Event Strategy, Planning & Execution Take primary responsibility for coordinating and delivering innovative fundraising events, including in-person and virtual events, that engage and inspire mid-level and major donors globally.
Donor Stewardship Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with mid-level and major donors, providing exceptional stewardship and personalised communication to increase giving through events.
Fundraising Strategy Develop creative event-based fundraising strategies to engage new donors and retain existing ones.
Collaboration Work closely with the Global Fundraising and Communications teams to develop compelling event content and donor engagement strategies.
The Candidate
Proven track record in planning, coordinating, and delivering successful fundraising events, both virtual and in person, with a focus on donor engagement.
Experience in managing mid and major donor portfolios, including cultivation, stewardship, and soliciting gifts.
Experience in managing high-value events, such as gala dinners, donor receptions, and exclusive donor webinars.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to create compelling content for event materials and donor communications.

Your new role
Our role is Finance Operations Manager within the AP team. This role will include:
- Management of a large team, circa 18 staff
- Mentor and develop existing team leaders
- Build key supplier and internal relationships
- Manage day-to-day processing of circa 20,000 invoices per month
- Lead the team through a particularly busy time, including with the transition to a new system
- Recruit and train new staff where necessary
- Design and implement working patterns and structure
- Reconciliation of aged creditors
- Produce KPIs and systems performance metrics
- Liaising with treasury operations to ensure correct funding is in place for payments
- Contribute to IT and Project focus groups, overcoming technical issues
- Train team leaders on staff mentorship, training and support
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal teams

In order to succeed, you will need previous experience of managing a large and successful AP team, as well as staff management and training experience.

The Role:
As the Supporter Care Coordinator, you’ll play a central part in delivering outstanding supporter care and supporting Individual Giving activity, ensuring supporters feel valued, heard and appreciated at every touchpoint.
You’ll be the friendly first point of contact for supporters and will ensure donations are handled accurately and efficiently, acknowledgements are sent promptly, and CRM records are kept up to date. You’ll also support the delivery of fundraising appeals and collaborate across teams to improve processes and engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the appeals donation process, including opening post, batching cheques, recording donations on CRM, banking and acknowledgements
- Acting as the first point of contact for supporter enquiries via phone, email and post, responding in a warm, friendly and professional manner
- Supporting Individual Giving activities, including drafting copy, proofreading artwork, checking data and contributing to digital fundraising
- Leading on the thanking process, including drafting content and setting up mail merges for appeal thank-you letters
- Working closely with colleagues across the organisation during key fundraising periods
- Liaising with suppliers and managing equipment used for in-house donation processing
- Supporting ad hoc projects such as due diligence tasks, legacy and in-mem acknowledgements, and data reporting
- Being flexible to support fundraising events (e.g. London Marathon)
You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with supporters and understands the importance of excellent customer service in fundraising. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple tasks with accuracy and care.
