The Bridge Renewal Trust was established in 2009 to develop and deliver practical, community-led solutions that enable local people to live healthier, more connected lives and reduce health inequalities.
Do you have a proven track record of engaging people from diverse communities in inclusive, community-based programmes? Do you have the skills and confidence to lead a weekly community café (including cooking), recruit and support volunteers, and build trust so residents feel welcomed, valued and empowered?
We are recruiting a Health and Wellbeing Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of integrated community programmes at the Bridge Community Hut. This includes including coordinating and delivering the Community Café and weekly cooking sessions, the community belonging programme, and an inclusive physical activity programme for children, young people, adults and older residents.
A core requirement of the role is to coordinate and deliver weekly healthy cooking sessions for local residents, including personally planning menus and preparing and cooking culturally diverse meals. The postholder will ensure that cooking sessions and café activities operate as safe, inclusive and well-managed spaces that promote participation, skills development and social connection.
We are looking to recruit either one full-time Project Coordinator or two part-time Coordinators who are organised, proactive and confident in both frontline delivery and programme coordination. You will have experience working with diverse communities, delivering community-based activities, coordinating weekly healthy cooking sessions and running a community café, as well as recruiting, training and supporting volunteers. You must be able to undertake effective outreach, engage local residents, and support volunteers to develop their skills and confidence. You will also coordinate and deliver a weekly programme of wellbeing activities, ensuring sessions are inclusive, welcoming and responsive to community needs.
This is an in-person role based at the Bridge Community Hut, with delivery taking place across weekdays and Saturdays.

What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere

About the role

Working within the Climate team in the Policy Directorate, this role will help shape and develop policy solutions that support the deployment of low-carbon infrastructure and technologies in ways that benefit people and nature. You will:
Effectively manage and provide a pro-active, high quality frontline service to male victims of domestic abuse. You will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of MARAC and multi-agency partners when required. This role requires a specialist understanding of the barriers faced by male victims of domestic abuse and harmful practices. We particularly welcome applicants who are male, as they are under-represented in the provision of support to domestic abuse victim survivors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse service for victims and their children, including those at highest risk
- Ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children
- Be the lead in crisis situations and provide advice and guidance on safeguarding issues and information sharing concerns.
- The role will work collaboratively with the Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of the business plan and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for clients.
- Manage a small team, conducting supervision and case reviews to ensure safe practice.
- Carry a caseload, supporting male domestic abuse victim/survivors to increase their safety.
- Develop relationships with partner agencies in this area.
About You:
Ideally, you will have knowledge of migration and asylum routes and the procedures for applying for refugee/asylum status in the UK, legal remedies for domestic abuse victims and have experience of working with housing, homelessness, drug, alcohol, mental health issues and have an understanding of the benefit system.
You will need:
- Experience of supporting people in vulnerable situations, having worked with victims of domestic violence & abuse.
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues, legal responsibilities and GDPR & data protection regulations.
- Have strong crisis management skills to support staff dealing with stressful and difficult situations
- Experience of managing a team delivering front line support to victims or domestic abuse or vulnerable people to a high standard
- A passion for working with male victim/survivors
- Experience of working with housing agencies or in a housing setting is advantageous

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking a permanent Chief Medical Advisor. This is an SCS2 grade role and an outstanding opportunity to work in the largest Civil Service Department that touches the lives of citizens the length and breadth of the UK.
This is a unique opportunity for a senior medical professional to provide expert advice to inform policy, legislation, and delivery decisions at the UK’s biggest public service department, where we administer the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers.
This role will be the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for Clinical Governance and Clinical Profession. The postholder will build strong relationships with senior leaders, including the Permanent Secretary, ministers, and external stakeholders, ensuring clinical advice is accurate and of the highest quality. The role requires strong team leadership, promoting an inclusive environment for clinicians to encourage development and growth while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
As the Department’s most senior medical professional, you will provide expert advice on clinical policy and clinical governance matters to DWP Ministers and senior leaders across DWP including the DWP Executive team. The role will also work closely with other clinical teams across government as well as external organisations such as regulatory bodies, external providers and charities.
The Department has an ambitious reform agenda including priorities set out in the Get Britain Working White Paper and the Pathways to Work Green Paper and a focus on tackling rising youth inactivity.
As Chief Medical Advisor you will bring professional expertise to complex problems, influencing right at the heart of decision making. You will be a strong relationship builder, able to work effectively across a large and complex organisation, and operate as an inspiring leader.
This role has four major components:
- Leading a team of approximately 50 colleagues providing clinical advice across DWP, you will act as the Department’s expert on clinical policy matters and work with officials across the Department to ensure Ministers receive the highest quality advice on clinical policy.
- Provide the in-house clinical advice relating to disability, work, and health within DWP for Ministers and the Executive team.
- Operate as Head of Clinical Profession, where you will be responsible for training, appraisal, and revalidation of c.200 clinicians in DWP, ensuring they are in good standing with their regulatory body. There is also a dotted line of professional responsibility to 5,500 healthcare professionals within contracted provider organisations.
- As SRO for Clinical Governance, you will oversee the DWP Caldicott Guardian and Clinical Safeguarding Lead, providing final sign-off for sanctions and waivers on behalf of the Secretary of State.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their knowledge, experience and skills against the following essential criteria:
- Excellent strategic thinking skills, with the ability to understand both complex policy detail and high level, strategic connections across a broad portfolio and an outstanding eye for critical detail.
- Experience of delivering practical and innovative responses to complex issues and responding to unplanned circumstances.
- Strong technical skills relevant to clinical safeguarding with expertise in occupational health or functional medicine.
- Evidence of exceptional leadership and ability to lead multidisciplinary clinical education teams and / or programmes to ensure understanding of all roles across the 5,500 strong clinical profession, including the ability to motivate and inspire an experienced and diverse clinical team.
- Ability to demonstrate credibility to inspire the respect of both internal and external stakeholders at Director level and above.
Applicants must also meet the following qualification and membership requirements:
- A clinically active doctor with license to practise with GMC.
- Candidates must meet minimum ‘Continuing Professional Development’ (CPD) requirements (i.e. be up-to-date) in accordance with the requirements of the appropriate recognised professional body.
- Medical qualification MBChB or equivalent.

St Giles is expanding its delivery of hospital-based projects; this service is aimed at vulnerable 10 to 25-year-olds who attend the adult or paediatric emergency department or Urgent Care Centre at Whipps Cross ED. We will work alongside hospital staff to proactively identify vulnerable young people and help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent any potential escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.
About this key role
You will be embedded in the trauma team, working closely with clinicians and hospital staff to provide support for young people admitted to the Major Trauma Centre right through to their discharge back into the community, including access to appropriate longer-term support. You will be expected to identify and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service to young victims of violence people, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.
You will produce support and risk management plans based on your assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies. We will also count on you to deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, providing a practical service that will include social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, benefits work, debt advice, liaising with utilities, appearing in court, DIY and cleaning.

Family Support Worker
We are looking for a Family Support Worker to join a vibrant and brave grassroots organisation led by Gypsy and Traveller people in West Yorkshire.
Our client is an established and award-winning civil society organisation with a national profile, recognised as being innovative, brave and creative.
Position: Family Support Worker
Location: Cross Green, Leeds
Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week
Salary: £27,097 per annum pro rata
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 18th March 2026
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and committed team in Bradford as a Family Support Worker. You will deliver outreach across Bradford to build relationships and trust providing access to activities, information and support. You will support families holistically, across a wide range of issues, removing barriers to support and supporting families to understand and navigate processes. You will support families to build protective factors and to have their voices heard.
Working with Members, you will:
- Deliver community-based outreach including activities that promote wellbeing to Gypsy Traveller children and families in Bradford in houses, in yards, on local authority sites and on the roadside
- Support families in accessing provision such as education, welfare rights, health, housing, domestic violence, mental health and emotional wellbeing services
- Support families to overcome practical, cultural, and language barriers ensuring a flexible and responsive approach
- Support families who have an early help assessment or plan to understand and navigate the process
- Work collaboratively with the other Family Support Services and multi-agency partners
- Apply a Whole Family Approach that addresses the needs of all family members holistically, including parents, carers, and children.
- Ensure that the voices and needs of children and young people are heard encouraging their voice in service design and delivery
- Support families to develop problem-solving skills, build protective factors, and reduce long-term dependency on services including timely exit from support
About You
We are looking for someone with experience of working with children and/or young people who are/have experienced trauma and with experience of and writing reports (for example for monitoring and evaluation purposes).
You will also be able to record information in a fact based and timely manner and have experience of working in a support-based role and building long lasting and trusting relationships.
