The Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Technical Officer to provide hardware, software, analytics and AI-related support across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting Institute activities, events and special projects, both in the office and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support across a range of communications and analytics tools, including (but not limited to): GoToWebinar, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva (or equivalent), Slido, Mentimeter, Discord, SurveyMonkey, Excel (including pivot tables), Power BI, Copilot and other AI tools.
- Support media production and digital communications for Institute activities.
- Assist with data analysis and reporting to support Institute initiatives.
- Research and recommend new digital tools and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Provide hands-on support with hardware (cameras, microphones, video equipment, laptops, cables, streaming platforms such as OBS, etc.) in the office and at events.
- Collaborate with and support external partners during events and Institute activities.
- Assist in the management of special project websites.
- Prepare reports and maintain financial records as required.
- Attend industry events and meetings at the IMO to support senior staff when requested.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Familiarity with digital communications, analytics and collaboration tools, with a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

Background
The Democratic Progress Institute (DPI) is an independent non-governmental organisation established in consultation with international experts in conflict resolution and democratic advancement. DPI seeks to promote peace and democracy building through strengthened public dialogue and engagement.
The Project Officer will implement programme and project activities while also providing strategy and administrative support to the CEO, helping to coordinate organisational priorities and key initiatives.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project implementation
- Working with the Senior Programme Officer and other programme staff, play a central role in the implementation of programme and project activities, in line with donor requirements and organisational strategy, including but not limited to:
- Logistical planning for events by researching suppliers, gathering quotes, and presenting options to support informed decision-making
o Preparation of events materials.

- Managing event preparation when hosted in Turkey and abroad (including reserving tickets, arranging accommodation and transportation etc.)
- Assisting with post-event financial reporting, including gathering receipts, logging expenditure, and supporting accurate allocation of costs in line with internal procedures.
- Managing programme documentation, including maintaining records and supporting the collection and filing of consent forms.
o Drafting, editing and ensuring timely development, delivery and tracking of all necessary correspondence for DPI events (e.g. prepare agenda, contact speakers etc)
o Ensuring timely write up of the event proceedings (event publication) which requires taking detailed minutes during events, editing and finalisation to a high standard of the event discussions under Chatham House rules.#
o Support colleagues with the development of DPI research products and donor reports.
Strategic and administrative support to the CEO
· Work closely with the CEO on organisational strategy development and implementation of strategic priorities.
· Ensure the implementation of strong internal systems and processes.
· Provide research, drafting and administrative support to the CEO on an ad hoc basis.
· Support the CEO with other activities when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

- 2-3+ years working for an NGO, including supporting project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, English etc) or comparable practical experience.

Role Description
The Information and Guidance (IAG) Officer will sit within the IAG team and support work across the organisation, feeding into a range of exciting projects and opportunities. They will manage to deliver a variety of engagement activities, support individuals who contact the service via phone, email or at face-to-face events, and work closely with the staff, volunteer ambassadors and local stakeholders.
The post holder will have some knowledge and experience of health and social care and outreach/engagement, as well as experience of planning and facilitating meetings, organising their own diary and directly supporting members of the public and writing short reports. The role requires flexibility and multi-tasking, as well as the confidence to work independently, and as part of a busy and productive team. Excellent communication skills are vital, along with a passion for engaging with people and hearing their experiences.
Day-to-day responsibilities of the post holder will be supported by the Information and Guidance Manager. All work will be fully explained and support will be offered by their line manager and wider senior management team.

The Retention Lead is responsible for delivering Operation Smile UK’s strategic individual giving retention and legacy marketing programme. You will lead on the strategy, planning, delivery and evaluation of retention campaigns, with full accountability for managing significant budgets, agency partnerships and performance metrics.

Strategic Campaign Leadership

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a CRM Officer to support the CRM team in our London office.

This exciting CRM Officer role will support the data team with data imports, data selections and processing of income.
The Foundation has just started using a new CRM after undergoing a CRM migration from Raiser’s Edge, a very exciting time to be joining the Foundation! This role, alongside with other members of the CRM team, will liaise with the CRM Project Teams to support and ensure the successful outcome of the project and get us up to BAU.
What does the role involve?
- Manage data processes, imports and exports of all fundraising data including direct debits, new donors, email signups etc. in accordance with agreed protocols and in agreement with CRM Manager.
- Ensure that the use of the Fundraising database and the capture of all data from supporters or prospects conforms to data protection guidelines including GDPR relating to supporter preferences and consent.
- Support training for colleagues using the new CRM (Beacon) and help ensure all members are trained and kept up to date on new features and enhancements as they require to do their job effectively.
- Support the reconciliation of the bank statement with Beacon and ensure the Finance team know where to find information to enable accurate coding for management accounts.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Demonstrable relevant experience working in Fundraising, or a Charity database team role using Raiser’s Edge or any database similar, with experience of CRMs in general.
- Evidenced experience of managing high volumes of personal data using a large and complex supporter/CRM database.
- Evidenced ability to think analytically and deliver the most effective and accurate solutions for data capture, manipulation and reporting.

- Contribute to the consistent brand communication throughout all fundraising and income generation activities
- Represent the Hub at external meetings and events as required
- Maintain meticulous records, including maintaining the fundraising and income records on targets and approaches
- Provide and produce relevant reports to the CEO on the Fundraising Strategy, including performance indicators to enable the Hub to assess the effectiveness of the strategy and ensuring results are carried forward in subsequent fundraising plans
- Share knowledge of projects and developments within the organisation
- Promote the work of the Hub to a wider external audience including on social media, in collaboration with other staff, as appropriate

We know that 91% of people affected by a brain tumour will have experienced a negative impact to their emotional well-being; often exacerbated by cognitive issues, personality changes, long term side effects and reduced prognosis. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about talking to those affected by a brain tumour diagnosis and supporting them through our different channels, including phone line, live chat and email.
In this role, you will work across both our Counselling Service and Adults support team, helping us provide a seamless, joined up experience for our service users. You’ll provide empathetic, practical support directly to individuals, whilst also supporting the day to day running of our free counselling service - overseeing referrals, supporting assessments and helping ensure each element of the service meets our standards and the needs of the community. By bridging both teams, you will play a key role in making sure people receive the right emotional and practical support at the right time, no matter how they reach us.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Someone who can support a wide range of people – from those who are looking for general information about treatment or care, to those who need more detailed support from the point of diagnosis, you will be passionate about improving the lives of those affected by a brain tumour.
You will be empathetic and professional, with experience of working in a busy admin or service delivery role. The ideal candidate would also have a strong understanding of counselling principles and practice and would be able to confidently explain our different support services to service users. We are looking for someone with excellent IT and telephone skills and the ability to learn and use various databases is essential.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provide specialist emotional and practical support and information to people affected by brain tumours, their friends, families and carers through channels including phone, email and live chat.

Offer enhanced follow up support for individuals who may benefit from counselling, helping them explore their needs and acting as key link between the helpline and counselling service.

Provide administrate support for our counselling team, including managing a busy diary to ensure effective and high-quality service delivery.

Complete counselling assessments to identify needs, risks and appropriate support options for anyone who has referred into the service

Maintain appropriate and accurate records on our service system and CRM database, as required to evidence the impact and reach of our support services

Support a team of volunteer assessors and helpline triage volunteers to ensure they receive the help and guidance they need to deliver their role.

Provide accurate, up-to-date information based on current research, clinical guidance and treatments, conducting your own research and adapting communication to each person, while sharing key insights with the team.

Offer coaching guidance to empower individuals, helping them to achieve the appropriate next steps.
