About the Role
We’re looking for an IT & Communications Deputy Lead to help maintain and develop our digital infrastructure across multiple sites. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support networks, cloud systems, AV, telephony, and user services, ensuring reliable and secure IT operations. The role assists with day-to-day operations, routine maintenance, installations, troubleshooting and documentation, ensuring reliable and secure IT services across all sites.
Core Responsibilities to include but not be limited to:
- Maintain and develop IT and communications infrastructure, including networks and cloud systems.
- Provide first and second-line support to staff and guests.
- Assist with installations and routine maintenance of networking, Wi-Fi, VOIP, CCTV, and AV systems.

Context and Background
The NSPCC relies on voluntary income for the majority of its work to keep children safe, prevent abuse and ensure every child has a voice. To secure long-term sustainability, the charity has reshaped how it engages supporters through the Engagement and Fundraising Directorate.
Within this, the Philanthropy and Partnerships Department brings together high-value audiences and supporter-led income. The Volunteer Board Fundraising team leads income generation through regional and national volunteer boards, volunteer-led fundraising initiatives and delivery of special events through our high value event committees. These activities play a vital role in maximising sustainable income, engaging senior volunteers, and supporting long-term supporter relationships.
The volunteer boards are made up of influential and successful senior stakeholders who feel passionately about the NSPCC and volunteer their time to help the NSPCC generate income and awareness. They employ a range of fundraising techniques to reach their goals – their focus being to use their networks and influence to secure income generating opportunities via events, corporate partnerships and major gifts from individuals.
The team works closely with colleagues in Philanthropy and Partnerships (corporate partnerships, major gifts, trusts and statutory), Public Engagement (marketing, brand, digital), and Fundraising Operations (data, compliance, finance, procurement) to ensure volunteer fundraising is integrated into supporter journeys, delivers excellent experiences, and achieves strong ROI.
With the support of a Fundraising Manager, the role of the Fundraiser is to cultivate and steward key relationships and deliver special projects across the volunteer boards and their network to deliver against annual income plans.

As our Finance Lead*, you'll be a senior finance professional providing day-to-day financial leadership, ensuring financial operations run smoothly while translating complex financial data into accessible insights that empower our teams and leadership to make informed decisions. Supported by an experienced Head of Finance and Internal Operations, you'll lead on month-end processes and statutory accounts, cash flow forecasting and funder reporting, supporting strong financial controls and effective use of systems.
An excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take a leading role, this isn't just number-crunching – you'll be a trusted finance partner, working collaboratively across the organisation to support effective budget management, shape future initiatives, and ultimately help us maximise our impact for young refugees and asylum seekers.
The role requires proven experience in charity finance, including independently managing month-end processes and grant funding. You'll need an accounting qualification (AAT Level 4, full- or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent by experience) and hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can work with the Head of Finance and Internal Operations to communicate financial information in ways that make sense to non-finance audiences and is motivated by supporting our mission.

Exciting opportunity for a person that is passionate about helping people and reducing waste to make this charity reuse shop excel in providing an excellent service for the local community. The shop and storage space of 7,685 square feet is not all being used to it’s full potential and gives plenty of scope for a new manager to make changes.
The first priority is to ensure we maximise collections of reusable furniture and appliances for resale at affordable prices for local people (with a 20% discount for people on benefits plus some items are free of charge) and to increase both sales and Gift Aid income.
This is a hands-on management role where you would lead from the front and be involved in all aspects of operations including lifting/carrying items and occasional van driving when required.
