The available role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our hospice as a Marketing & Communications Officer. You’ll play a key role in sharing the hospice’s work with the people who matter most – our patients and those closest to them, our supporters, volunteers and staff. You’ll use a range of digital and traditional channels to tell powerful stories, promote our services and strengthen our connection with the community.

· A creative digital communicator who knows how to use a range of channels and tools - including CMS platforms and design software to reach and engage different audiences.

This is a hands‑on, creative role. You’ll plan and produce engaging social media content, manage social media and online enquiries, design digital and printed materials, maintain our website and create high‑quality video content. You’ll also work closely with supporters, patients and families to capture meaningful stories that bring our work to life, and you’ll support the development of our internal and external communications using insight and analytics to improve our reach.

This is a full time role working 37 hours per week, on a salary of £28,172 (subject to the outcome of a formal job evaluation process currently being undertaken).

This role will involve having some flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends. When this is the case, notice will be given and time given off in lieu.

Relationship Giving Manager

The Relationship Giving Manager plays a leading and hands on role in designing and implementing the supporter acquisition, retention and development plans. Focusing on growing reach, engagement and ultimately income across Individual Giving, Legacy and In Memory activity.

The postholder will manage, coordinate and deliver a variety of donor acquisition, conversion and retention campaigns and communications that make up the donor acquisition and supporter development programmes to deadline and within budget across various mediums including print, digital, face-to-face and direct marketing etc.

• Track the performance of campaigns and monitor performance metrics, including campaign results against agreed KPIs

• Ensure continuous testing, collate learnings and make recommendations to guide future activity

• Ensure effective maintenance and retention of active, lapsing and lapsed supporters

• Work with the wider fundraising team to design and implement supporter journeys for all individual donors and supporters including legacy prospects and pledgers

• Contribute to the development of the legacy marketing plan, implementing annual and ongoing initiatives to build a sustainable legacy pipeline

• Identify new channels and audiences to promote activities and products amongst existing donors/contacts and new prospective donors

• Develop strong relationships with external third parties promote the charity as a local beneficiary

Being a Finance Manager at St Wilfrid's

Full time 37.5 hours per week | 12 months fixed term contract - possibility to become permanent | Mainly office based with some home-working flexibility 

We’re looking for a skilled and values‑driven Finance Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day financial operations of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

You will manage financial reporting, budgeting, controls, payroll oversight and compliance for both the charity and trading company. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll ensure financial information is accurate, timely and meaningful.

You will also lead and develop a small, dedicated Finance team.

This is a time of transformation for us, with a new Finance Director joining and with plans to change our Finance system over the coming year.  As a result, we’re looking to appoint a fixed term Finance Manager for 12 months, with the possibility to extend or become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce timely monthly management accounts

- Lead year‑end processes and support statutory accounts preparation

- Coordinate and support organisation‑wide budgeting

- Provide financial guidance to managers and budget holders

- Oversee payroll and pensions compliance

- Manage cashflow, reconciliations and financial controls

- Lead on VAT, Gift Aid and internal audits

- Line‑manage and develop Finance team members

- Support system improvements and digital developments

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
• Strong financial management experience, ideally in a charity setting
• Excellent technical understanding of accounting and financial controls
• Experience with financial systems (Sage 200c desirable)

Role purpose

Variety, the Children’s Charity is looking for a Head of People and Culture to lead and deliver all aspects of the charity’s people strategy. Part of the Operations Team, this is an exciting role combining strategic leadership with hands-on operational HR management. The postholder will be experienced in driving forward new strategies, ensuring Variety has robust, compliant and people centered practices in place. Essential

• CIPD Level 7 qualified (or equivalent experience)

The Role

The Diocese of Guildford is seeking a gifted and collaborative Training Lead to coordinate and ensure delivery of high‑quality training for clergy, licensed lay ministers and parish leadership teams across the diocese.

As the Training Lead, you will be a key member of the St Martha’s College (SMC) team. St Martha’s College is at the heart of ministerial formation within the diocese, bringing together a growing range of training pathways including Foundations in Ministry, Occasional Courses, IME2, CMD, Clergy Wellbeing, and leadership development. The Role

Some of the Key Responsibilities include:
