The Events Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of Hidayah’s events and activities. Working closely with the Events Officer and wider team, this role ensures that all events run smoothly, are well-promoted, inclusive, and aligned with Hidayah’s mission. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and passionate about creating meaningful community experiences.
What are the key responsibilities of this role?
This role will have the following duties, but are not limited to:
1. Event Planning & Delivery
· Support the Events Officer in planning, organising, and delivering a range of events, both online and in person
· Liaise with venues and caterers to confirm logistics, costs, and facilities, ensuring value for money and guest satisfaction
· Manage event listings and guest registrations through OutSavvy, ensuring all attendees have active Hidayah memberships
· Assist with event setup, registration, and on-the-day coordination, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment
· Support with risk assessments, accessibility considerations, and general event compliance
2. Marketing & Communications
· Collaborate with the Social Media team to schedule and promote events across Hidayah’s social channels
· Create or support the design of promotional materials and graphics using Canva
· Draft event descriptions, newsletter content, and updates for review by the Events Officer
· Coordinate the monthly newsletter, liaising with the Social Media team to finalise and distribute
· Engage partner charities, community groups, and networks to share event information via email and social media
3. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
· Build and maintain relationships with organisations, partners, and individuals aligned with Hidayah’s mission
· Send thank-you messages to venues, partners, and attendees following events
· Distribute and collect feedback forms, compiling responses to support continuous improvement
· Represent Hidayah at community events and networking opportunities where appropriate
4. Administrative Support
· Maintain and update the contact database and event records
· Manage the Events Team inbox, responding to or triaging queries promptly
· Attend regular Events Team meetings, contributing updates and ideas
· Track and report on event expenses and participation data as required

Are you passionate about social media and can lead a small team? We're looking to recruit a Lead Volunteer for our Social Media Team. The Social Media Team develops and promotes Burning Nights CRPS Support’s communications online, using social media platforms as widely as possible, in order to maximise our impact and to inspire actions in the public, healthcare professionals, communities and businesses. Key Tasks and Objectives
You will lead and support the development and implementation of a communications strategy, direction and plans for Burning Nights CRPS Support's Social Media/online communications, create engaging content, supervise the team and encourage high standards.
Tasks may include:
- Managing the Social Media campaigns across social media, which includes overseeing and creating engaging content, writing and editorial, design and artwork from The Social Media Team.
- Scheduling and posting regular social media content.
- Help develop social media campaigns and day-to-day activities.

Our County Representatives (CR) will support our Fundraising Team by being the public face of Combat Stress in their local county, and will help build support from individuals and groups by raising awareness and funds. We are looking for a finance professional to join our engaged and friendly board as Treasurer, with specific oversight of the charity’s financial management. While day-to-day financial administration is carried out by employees or external providers, the Treasurer works closely with them and the Board to ensure sound financial governance. Our board meet once a month (either virtually or in person in London) for around 90 minutes. We aim to have strategy days twice a year. You will meet with the CEO and Finance Manager once a month, and be available for ad hoc emails, advice. Trustees are usually appointed for a three-year term, which can usually be extended.
You will also bring a commitment to the values, aims, and objectives of the charity, and a desire to help children and young people who have experienced grief.

Experience Qualification and Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in digital asset management, content operations, knowledge management, archiving, or media library administration.
- Experience creating and maintaining structured systems (folders, naming rules, tags, metadata) at scale.
- Experience logging and tracking assets accurately, with strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Experience working across teams (creative, campaigns, operations, safeguarding) to coordinate content flow and accountability.
- Highly organised approach with strong file hygiene, documentation discipline, and ability to maintain standards consistently.
- Strong attention to detail, including version control, permissions, approval status tracking, and prevention of misuse.
- Ability to think in systems: designing processes that make content searchable, reusable, and scalable.
- Strong communication skills for clarifying requirements, flagging risks, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain reliability in a high-volume environment.
Desirable experience
- Experience supporting creative teams with admin/ops or project coordination.

Main Responsibilities/ Key Duties
- Build and maintain a central digital content library that supports scale, reuse, and consistent access across the CIC.
- Create and manage structured systems for content organisation, including naming conventions, folder structures, tagging rules, and metadata standards.
- Log and catalogue all incoming content from content creators, podcast teams, campaign teams, and ambassadors, ensuring every asset is captured and traceable.
- Track key content status fields, including approval status, usage rights/permissions, platform suitability, and safeguarding clearance.
- Ensure content is easy to find and easy to reuse by maintaining accurate tags, searchable metadata, clear versions, and consistent file hygiene.
- Manage version control and “single source of truth” practices, preventing confusion, loss of quality, duplicated assets, or incorrect public release.
- Coordinate with the Social Media Director, Safeguarding Officer, Campaign Managers, and Automation & Systems teams to align library structure with workflows and publishing needs.
- Flag risks, gaps, duplication, or misuse (e.g., missing consent, unclear rights, unapproved assets, outdated versions, incorrect tagging) and route issues to the right owners.
- Support content distribution readiness by ensuring assets are stored in the correct location, correctly named, correctly tagged, and marked for approved use.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by refining systems, templates, and guidance as volume increases and the C.I.C scales.

We have recently appointed a new Vice-Chair, an experienced Treasurer in post for over a year, and our CEO has now been in post for over 18 months, providing continuity and stability in leadership. This is an opportunity for someone with previous Board experience to coordinate and lead the Board of Trustees and make an important contribution to the work of this well-respected local charity at a crucial time in its development.
HMC was established in 2007 to provide advice and support to migrants to help them overcome problems with their immigration status and in accessing services. We welcome all migrants, regardless of immigration status or nationality. With the help of a team of professional advisors and volunteers, we delivery immigration, housing and welfare advice and provide a range of holistic advocacy and support services in a community setting. We work to support visitors to address urgent problems they are facing, and address long term challenges relating to insecure immigration status, homelessness and destitution.
As the external environment for migrants has become increasingly challenging and funding pressures have intensified, we have had to review and adapt the scope of our work. Over the past two years, the staff team has reduced to a team of five, with most roles being part-time. We now have an annual budget of just over £300,000 and are in the process of reviewing what we can realistically achieve, as well as how we can become more resilient and financially sustainable.
