About the role

In this role you’ll support the delivery and continual development of a mass email communication strategy, improve mass email communications, and deliver engaging emails as part of an integrated journey model.

• Work with the team to plan and manage organisational wide supporter emails

• Support the team in designing and delivering the mass supporter email strategy

• Become an email marketing expert, supporting teams across the organisation to send great emails to our supporters through training and guidance

• Work with teams across the organisation to create audience-first email journeys for our supporters

• Maintain and update guidance and processes to ensure strong, consistent and compliant supporter emails

What you’ll bring:

• Experience planning an email campaign/email journey.

• Experience creating engaging, inspiring and effective digital content.

GMAVSG is looking for a new member of staff:

GMAVSG Worker

Salary and hours: Based on £39,963 per annum for full-time 35 hour week, pro rata according to number of hours worked.  This post is for 2 to 3 days / 14 to 21 hours per week: number of hours per week and days of work negotiable, providing you are available during core hours of 9.30am to 4pm for at least 2 days a week.

25 days annual leave, plus public holidays, for 35 hours per week, pro rata according to number of hours worked.

The main work is providing welfare benefits advice to people with asbestos diseases.  Training will be given on compensation and industrial injuries benefits for people with asbestos diseases.

You will also assist with campaigning, and with running our Living Well and Families support groups, though the GMAVSG Coordinator will take the lead on these.

Information about GMAVSG

Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group (GMAVSG) is a registered charity, established by the Greater Manchester Hazards Centre (GMHC) in 1994. You will be doing GMAVSG work but you will be employed by GMHC.  GMHC provides information, advice and campaigning on health and safety at work. 

The GMAVSG office is in Manchester; all staff work mainly from home, but must be able to do home visits to clients, mostly in Greater Manchester.  GMAVSG provides comprehensive free advice on benefits, and basic information on compensation, to people with asbestos diseases.  Our help is free.  Most of our clients have mesothelioma, a terminal cancer and are men in their 60s, 70s, and 80s who were exposed to asbestos at work.  We also campaign on issues affecting asbestos victims. GMAVSG runs two support groups: Families Group for people who have lost a loved one to asbestos disease, Living Well for people with mesothelioma and their families/carers.

GMAVSG Job

The job offers the prospect of doing interesting and worthwhile work, including campaigning, with a particular client group, who benefit greatly from our specialist advice and empathetic support.  It is not just ‘conveyor belt’ advice work.

You will be delivering benefits advice to people mainly through home visits in Greater Manchester and some of the neighbouring areas of Derbyshire, Cheshire and Lancashire. Full driving licence and access to a car are essential.  The work includes covering a phone helpline on a rota basis, the main purpose of which is to ensure that visits are promptly offered to people newly diagnosed with an asbestos disease.

Recent experience of welfare rights / benefits advice is essential, as are good ICT and administration skills.  Training will be given on compensation and industrial injuries benefits for people with asbestos diseases.

A pay rise is due from April 2026 as salaries are normally uprated annually at least in line with inflation.

The post is permanent, and the charity is financially secure for the foreseeable future.

Purpose of the role

The Finance (FM) contributes to ENN’s vision through strategic management and governance of its financial resources and budgets.

The Finance Manager is responsible for finance strategy, planning and oversight, reporting, regulatory compliance and aligning finance strategies with organisational goals and operations.  The FM is a member of the management team, provides key insights to support business decisions, liaises with the board of trustees and holds the position of Company Secretary.

Responsibilities

· Develop ENN’s finance strategy in support of the delivery of its 5 year strategic goals.

Person Specification

Essential

· Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

· Extensive experience of leading financial management for organisations in the non-profit sector, with a thorough understanding of charity specific financial obligations.

· Demonstrated experience in reporting to and engaging with management teams and/or trustees on matters related to financial risk management, including presenting complex financial data, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.

4.1       GRANT PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

To work within organisational strategies and policies, and in accordance with the priorities and guidance as specified by the Programme Manager:
 

• Contribute to the delivery of all aspects of the grant cycle, including responding to applicant inquiries, assessment of applications, presenting and discussing applications with the grant committee and communicating decisions to applicants. On occasion, there may a requirement to contribute to this work for other JRCT grant programmes.

• Assist with monitoring grantees’ work and expenditure of JRCT funds.

• Contribute to the design and delivery of networking, convening or learning initiatives for grantees.

• Use the grants administration database to process and monitor grant applications and provide reports and statistics.  Maintain accurate database records to enable the appropriate payment and ongoing monitoring of grants. 

• Ensure that effective information storage and retrieval systems (paper and electronic) are developed, maintained and managed for the programme area and maintain records of committee membership and subscriptions.

• Arrange and co-ordinate committee meetings and meetings with applicants/grantees on behalf of the Programme Manager, including related travel, accommodation and room bookings, liaising with trustees and co-optees.

• Liaise with other staff and external colleagues on behalf of the Programme Manager and assist in implementing good communication systems for the staff team and wider organisation.

The Role
Under the direction of the a newly appointed Head of Income Generation and Engagement, you will create, deliver and evaluate a long-term Individual Giving strategy.

This role is focused on building a long-term, sustainable individual giving programme that allows the charity to connect with new supporters, deepen relationships with existing ones, and grow their impact.
Build a diverse and sustainable individual giving portfolio suited to the brand, stakeholders, resources and growth aspirations.
Plan and deliver engaging multi-channel fundraising campaigns, appeals and/or product promotions.
Use data and insight to drive performance, monitor results, and build cases for support.
Develop and deliver supporter journeys to encourage loyalty and growth across all income streams.
Integrate individual giving with wider brand, marketing, communications and retail initiatives.
Provide support to branches in ad hoc individual giving activities.
Work collaboratively with the PR / Engagement Manager to maximise impact of integrated campaigns both nationally and with branches.

Sea-Changers is looking for a motivated leader to make a step change at a key point in the organisation’s journey. Sea-Changers’ vision is a future where the UK’s seas and shores are clean and healthy and marine species and habitats are protected. Our grants seek to support communities of Sea-Changers – people who care about the seas and want to take practical action to make a difference. Through our grants we enable diverse, grassroots and community-led marine conservation across the UK.

Doubling our income to over £300,000 in 2025 has catalysed Sea-Changers to move from a volunteer-led charity to a sustainable organisation with a dedicated staff team. To enable this, we are seeking to appoint our first Executive Director. This new role will work alongside the Co-Founders and our Board of Trustees and lead the transition from a volunteer-led operation to a staff-led organisation.

As a driven individual, you will build on our success — strengthen partnerships, expand our impact, and help more communities to protect the ocean. Supported by a strong group of volunteers and an impressive Board, the Executive Director will be comfortable working at both a strategic and operation level, and ‘hands on’. By the end of 2027 it is our expectation you will take full responsibility for the strategic leadership and overall operational delivery of Sea-Changers.

Marine Policy Officer

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Marine Policy Officer to join our Policy & Advocacy team and help drive forward our marine conservation and ocean literacy work. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how Scotland manages and protects its marine environment, and to play a central role in the Trust’s Sea the Connection project - an initiative designed to remove barriers and empower communities to participate meaningfully in marine decision making.

About the Role

As Policy Officer, you will play a central role in advancing the Trust’s marine policy, planning, and ocean literacy ambitions across a diverse and impactful portfolio. Working closely with the Marine Policy Manager and the marine policy inclusion officer, you will contribute to the development of evidence based, solutions focused policy positions on –

• Scotland’s Marine Protected Area network
• National and regional marine planning
• Fisheries management
• Marine renewables
  - and the delivery of Scotland’s Blue Economy Vision - particularly its aim to build an ocean literate nation.

A significant focus of the role will be leading the coordination and delivery of the Scottish Ocean Literacy Coalition and supporting the development of Scotland’s first national Ocean Literacy Strategy. You will convene and chair steering group meetings, design and deliver both online and in person engagement events, and gather perspectives from a wide range of stakeholders to shape a shared national vision for ocean literacy. This will require confidence in planning, facilitating, and managing events, as well as the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across sectors including government, NGOs, academia, communities, and marine industries.

You will also represent the Trust at external meetings, workshops, and conferences, ensuring our priorities are communicated effectively and that we remain an active, constructive voice in Scotland’s marine policy landscape. The breadth of the role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise across marine environmental topics while developing your own specialist area of interest. Ultimately, you will help strengthen the Trust’s capacity to influence marine planning processes, support marine protection initiatives, and contribute to a more ocean literate Scotland.

Policy Officer

Join a nature restoration charity, whose mission is to restore beavers to regenerate our landscapes.

We are looking for a Policy Officer to influence national policies and strategies that enable the restoration of beavers, rivers and wetlands.

Position: Policy Officer

Location: Remote, resident in mainland Britain

Hours: Full or part-time. 4 days per week (30 hrs), 4.5 days per week (33.75 hrs) or 5 days per week (37.5 hrs)

About the Role

Working closely with and supporting the Policy Lead, the role involves engaging with stakeholders to build strong, effective relationships and help drive policy change in support of the charity’s mission. Sitting in the Influencing team, the Policy Officer will collaborate across the organisation, including with Restoration, Communication & Education, Fundraising, and Support & Governance teams.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Research and monitor changes in policy and legislation with direct and indirect impacts on beaver restoration across Britain.
• Draft relevant responses, policy documents and political briefings.
• Organise policy events and meetings to support influencing work.
• Monitor the policy positions and activities of stakeholder organisations, including partners and those with opposing views.
• Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships, including with politicians, government officials, and partners to bolster support for the trust’s policy positions.
• Represent the organisation at meetings and events, including those of Wildlife & Countryside Link, Wales Environment Link, and Scottish Environment LINK coalitions.
• Support delivery of campaigns.
• Personal data administration to ensure compliance with the GDPR
• Work closely with the wider team to ensure cross organisational working to maximise influencing impact.

About You

You will have an understanding of the environmental policy landscape - including agri–environment schemes - across Britain at both local and national levels. With strong influencing and communication skills, you will have the ability to articulate policy positions clearly and persuasively to support policy change.

You will have proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders, including those who may hold differing or opposing views. For example government officials, NGOs, partners, and landowners.

With the ability to synthesise, interpret and apply scientific research to inform policy development and advocacy, you will have:

• Experience of producing high-quality reports, briefings and written communications for diverse audiences.
• Highly organised, proactive and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to the organisation’s mission and values.
• IT and visual content creation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Britain for work, including frequent overnight stays, with access to transport to get to areas not covered by bus/rail.

The role

Business Disability Forum is looking for an experienced, strategic Head of IT and AI to review and manage outsourced IT services, work with colleagues to ensure applications are optimised and ensure they comply with best practice data protection. You’ll lead an AI transformation agenda so we can adopt the efficiencies of AI working with colleagues at all levels across the organisation to develop, implement and monitor a plan to embed the benefits of AI while mitigating any risks.

Business Disability Forum outsources IT support to various suppliers covering CRM (Salesforce), Microsoft 365 and Telephony. The Head of IT and AI will review and manage these relationships ensuring users are kept online and active and have the applications best suited to the organisation’s needs with consideration given for compliance with our memberships’ requirements and best practice data protection.

Business Disability Forum needs to adopt the efficiencies of AI, the Head of IT and AI will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing our use of AI, harnessing the automation and cost savings offered while maintaining security of data and compliance with our memberships’ own compliance needs. The Head of IT and AI will work with members of the leadership team to develop, implement and monitor a plan to embed the benefits of AI throughout the organisation while mitigating the risks.

The requirement

• Experience in managing outsourced IT service desks and multiple suppliers
• Proven experience leading AI transformation initiatives, including implementing organisation-wide‑ technology changes.
• Significant experience in leading the implementation and ongoing development of CRM (preferably Salesforce) in a charity or membership organisation.
• Ability to identify and plan future needs from a digital and technical perspective.

We are seeking a fantastic corporate partnerships manager to join our Income Generation team. · quickly learn and be able to articulate well our campaigns and victim service and their evidence base, our funding need, and the actions that corporates can and should take to prioritise safe and green use of roads, through funding us and supporting our campaigns

· find and unlock access to senior leads within companies not already working with us (e.g., public affairs, communications and corporate social relationship teams) as well as taking up the reins of stewarding relationships with some of the companies already working with us

· listen and understand corporates’ priorities, understanding their budgets, potential to fundraise within their teams and networks, and their safety, sustainability, policy and pr priorities; and articulate what Brake does and our need for help

· forge, together, actionable joint plans that generate funds for Brake from a company, directly or through their supply chain / customers. You will achieve six figure funding targets, by generating five figure funds from new and existing partners

· Work alongside team members in public affairs, PR, and public engagement to understand our programmes of work in campaigns and seek the engagement of new and existing corporate supporters in those programmes, for example through participation and sponsorship

· Be responsible for developing your own pipeline of leads and accurately forecasting income you will fundraise from this pipeline and listing partnership activities that will be delivered
