The Diocese of London is looking to appoint a Ministry Administrator to support the Area Director of Ministry and the wider Stepney Area team.

Job Summary

This is a key role for someone with strong administrative skills, good judgement and a heart for supporting the work of the Church. The postholder will help provide the careful, dependable and confidential support needed for clergy discernment, development and training across the Stepney Area. • Supporting the Area Director of Ministry with day-to-day administration, communications and diary management

• Coordinating aspects of the ordination discernment process and maintaining accurate confidential records

• Liaising with clergy, candidates and other colleagues in a professional and welcoming way

• Supporting clergy development processes, training events and meetings

• Helping maintain well organised digital systems and administrative workflows

The role also includes support for records and data management, clergy development administration, occasional financial administration and event coordination.

United Christian Broadcasters is excited to provide a 12-month training opportunity to an individual whose ambition is to become a broadcast journalist and work in a newsroom covering national and international news and current affairs.

Supported by a team of experienced Christian broadcast journalists and producers, you will study and learn on the job.

This will include:

Holy Trinity Church (HT) is a vibrant, growing church in the centre of Cambridge with a lively and expanding children and families ministry. In the three years before lockdown, the children’s ministry – HT Kids – doubled in size, and the growth has continued post lockdown. We have 180 children aged 0–11 who regularly attend on a Sunday and over 95 families who call HT their spiritual home. The vision of HT Kids is to see children come to know Jesus for themselves and grow in all that he has for them. We also want to see kids joyfully inviting friends to meet Jesus for themselves. We have over 50 volunteers from the church family – young people, undergraduates, and adults – who serve regularly to help make that vision a reality. 

Alongside the Senior Children’s Pastor, you will be responsible for pastoring the children aged 0–Year 2 with their families, for bringing hands-on leadership to the wider team involved in HT Kids and to reach out to children and families in Cambridge who don’t yet know Jesus. A major part of this role will be managing staff and volunteers to increase their confidence and fruitfulness as they work with children. We are looking for a motivated educator who is available to assist the team with delivering sessions in secondary schools. The candidate will have an understanding of anti-Muslim hatred and discrimination and how this affects young people in the UK today. This is a pilot programme delivering in schools across Bradford, London, Birmingham and Blackburn. We are recruiting facilitators from each city. 

This exciting role offers great flexibility. You won't have set working hours, but we are looking for someone who is passionate about our project and will be available to deliver sessions between April – July 2026. Following the pilot, there is a potential the work will resume again from October. We are looking for people who are eager to learn. Once you join the team, you will be given in-depth paid training on how to deliver the content.
