Working with clients from our Day Centre and Night Shelter to provide casework, advocacy and support to resolve and prevent homelessness in Enfield and Haringey,.
Within the Day Centre you will provide high quality and relevant advocacy and casework to people who are homeless or at risk. You will maintain a caseload of clients working within a fast paced and dynamic small team. You will support the smooth running of the day centre provision and have a commitment to supporting vulnerable clients in a person-centred way. Outside of the day centre you will support clients to attend a variety of key services and appointments through outreach.
To be successful in this role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This role is suited to someone with a problem solving, positive attitude, who is passionate about supporting marginalised people.

About the role
This role sits within The Passage Housing Needs Service (HNS) team. It will provide brief interventions to support individuals who have been placed into accommodation by the HNS team to settle into and sustain their tenancies. The post holder will work holistically to assist individuals to address issues that are impacting on their ability to sustain their accommodation on a time limited basis and will link them into services in their local areas for ongoing support in order for them to gain independence and integrate into their new communities.
Main duties
- To provide support to individuals who are moving into their new private rented sector accommodation where appropriate and needed. This can include setting up utilities, council tax among other things.
- To establish and develop positive and constructive working relationships with a range of services and agencies across London boroughs that can provide support to our clients ensuring the best possible outcomes for them.
- To assess any risk to clients, the environment and staff, record and communicate any risks identified using appropriate channels in the Passage.
- To ensure accurate and timely record keeping using the Inform database as well as client files and ensure all record keeping and information sharing is kept securely in line with Data protection.
- Support HNS Workers to complete exit questionnaires to gather feedback and promote co production with the individuals the team supports.
- To draw up psychologically informed action plans for clients ensuring they are person centered and taking into consideration the clients’ views.
Key responsibilities
- In conjunction with your Housing Needs Service Coordinator to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
- To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
- To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
- To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Code of Practice and Confidentiality.
- To contribute to the effective implementation of The Passage’s Diversity and Equality Policy as it affects both The Passage and its work with vulnerable adults.

- Working in partnership with the Retail Manager, facilitate, encourage, and support companion engagement and training within the social enterprises to ensure they are viable businesses.
- Assist the Multi Site Property and Facilities Manager in the upkeep and maintenance of the Community, to ensure that it provides a pleasant and comfortable home for the Companions, whilst adhering to health and safety requirements.

About the Role
As the Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our Retail Manager to maximise sales and ensure the smooth operation of our retail business. You’ll be part of an enthusiastic Retail team that values collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Retail Manager in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
- Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team, including staff and volunteers.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and a welcoming store environment.
- Manage inventory, merchandising, and store presentation to align with brand standards.
- Oversee daily store operations, including cash handling, reporting, and compliance.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives and community engagement efforts.
About You:
- Experience: Previous experience in a store management role within the fashion or furniture industry is essential.
- Skills: Strong leadership skills with proven line management experience. Experience managing volunteers is highly desirable.

Rent and Service Charge Manager
High Wycombe, Bucks & Hybrid working
£61,500 p/a + excellent benefits (pro rata for P/T)

As the key representative and ambassador for rent and service charges for our client's business, you will manage key processes and stakeholder relationships. Working within the Finance directorate of around 60 people, you will manage a small team and will contribute to the strategic direction of the function.
Within this position you will provide an expert advisory service to both service owners and budget holders, ensuring Value for Money for customers whilst maximising rent and service charge recovery for the Group.
- With proven experience from within a rent and service charge management position, you will have strong leasehold and housing legislation knowledge.
- You will have a strong understanding of accounting procedures and processes to enable you to monitor and review service charge recovery for the business.
- You have good overall understanding and experience in working in a Finance team and strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Planning and organising resource for the rent and service charge calendar is vital as there are challenging deadlines.
- You will have an eye for detail and instil the need to monitor and analyse to your team as compliance within relevant legislation and service delivery to customers is imperative.
- You will be expected to measure and analyse existing systems and processes, developing creative solutions to improve services for our customers. Your excellent customer focus, commercial acumen, and adept communication skills with a range of different people, including key stakeholders will be key to your success in this post.
- You will be confident at dealing with challenge and will ensure you always work for the best outcome for the business and our customers even if this might involve conflict.
- In your role, you will be expected to support the delivery of the rent and service charge transformation project and the implementation of the new rent and service charge module.
- You will be required to work closely with the rent and service charge project manager and project team to support delivery of the projects.

Whilst this role is to cover maternity, in a business our client's size and with the transformation they are going through, there is a possibility that this could either be extended or other suitable opportunities may arise. Many of their talented colleagues started as temporary / interim and have gone on to forge successful careers with them. However, if something longer term doesn’t materialise, you will still gain valuable experience which will add to your employability in this and similar fields
