Key responsibilities of the role:
- Draft and revise HR policies and procedures in line with UK employment legislation and best practice, collaborating with key HR stakeholders.
- Identify, prioritise and update outdated policies based on significance and time since last review
- Work with the Governance team to keep the policy register current and compliant
- Engage with staff representatives in the consultation process for all new and revised HR policies, and complete equality impact assessments as required
- Prepare documentation for policy approval and ensure timely scheduling for review by the Risk Management Board and other relevant decision-making groups
- Work alongside the Head of HR to present policies for approval at senior leadership or committee level
- Communicate policy updates across the organisation, share them with the HR team, and publish final versions on the staff intranet
- Support managers and HR business partners in applying new policies in practice and help develop a regular review schedule
Ideal candidate profile:
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Proven experience in generalist HR roles with a solid understanding of UK employment law and diversity and inclusion practices
- Strong written communication and interpersonal abilities to build relationships and produce professional documentation
- Skilled in conducting research and applying findings to inform HR practices and policies

As the Head of Philanthropy, you will inherit a successful philanthropy area of fundraising for the organisation and will devise and implement a comprehensive strategy to build income from individuals across the full suite of structured giving schemes. You will personally scope and secure new major gifts from individuals and lead the organisation’s approach to alumni fundraising, working collaboratively with the Alumni team to appropriate engage programme beneficiaries. The Head of Philanthropy will also be responsible for relationships with Board members, Fellows, alumni donors and legacies.
To be successful as the Head of Philanthropy will be an experienced manager and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking and ingrained knowledge of how to secure and steward HNWIs. This will ideally have been done at the six-figures-plus level and you will have significant experience networking to build and manage relationships that lead to major gifts.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices for at least two days per week. The salary for this role is £56,000 to £68,000.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director of Casework will be a key member of the Senior Management Team and will have overall responsibility for the entire casework function and the efficient delivery of pro bono work through projects and partnership work. Your role will encompass overseeing, reviewing and refining the casework process, leading on quality management and leveraging digital tools to enhance service efficiency and improvement. To be considered for this position, you will be passionate about access to justice and an experienced senior leader with experience of managing and leading teams in a casework environment and/or complaints handling environment. Purpose

What you’ll bring to the role:

Significant proven experience and/or qualification in governance within a similar sector (Public/Charity/Third Sector)

Demonstrate an excellent understanding of governance, processes and requirements through prior experience in a similar role in the public/voluntary or charity sector.

Strong interpersonal, diplomatic communication skills, verbal and written (report writing) and excellent organisational skills.

Experience in supporting and engaging with senior stakeholders and an ability to show initiative and lead in aspects of work.

Demonstrate a pro-active and adaptable approach and the ability to think innovatively to solve problems in a complex environment.

Highly skilled in minute taking at a senior level.
