This is an exciting training role in Army Cadet Headquarters responsible for the coordination, development and implementation of strategic training policy across the Army Cadets.

We are looking for a training professional to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team and lead on the training governance, strategic policy, and implementation of training requirements across both our volunteer staff and employed workforce.

This role is key to ensuring Army Cadets training meets the governance requirements of the MOD, and follows required process and procedure, whilst forging its own dynamic and flexible youth training policies to meet the needs of a modern youth organisation.

This position is a permanent full-time post (40 hours per week) which will be office based in Cadets Branch, HQ Regional Command in Aldershot, however significant homeworking will be permitted.  The starting salary for the post will be £32,600 per annum.

Essential Skills

· Experience of delivering strategic training policy for a large organisation

· Risk Management or Safety qualifications.

· Experience in delivering training.

· Demonstrable success in establishing effective working relationships across a range of organisations.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence.

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Playskill is a Hertfordshire based charity supporting pre-school children with physical disabilities & delays and their families. Across two sites in Watford and Hemel Hempstead, our work helps to build family resilience in the pivotal early years of a child’s life. Our specialist early intervention work delivering multi-disciplinary therapeutic play sessions, parent training/modelling, family social respite events and family support provides holistic family centred work aiming to build foundational skills for life

The Family Support Lead will coordinate our Family Support service across all locations providing holistic support to families of children with a physical disability/delay living in Hertfordshire, always keeping close adherence to best Safeguarding practice and procedures.

The role involves working with the Head of Family Service and Operations and Head of Development to develop the Support Worker team to deliver high quality family support. This may mean supporting families in group settings, family centres or in the home and holding caseloads with a holistic view in how to best meet need. Working closely with local stakeholders (including but not limited to schools, family hubs, social care, health and other voluntary sector organisations), the wider Playskill team and families, this role will deliver family-centred practice, ensuring positive outcomes for families.

We are looking for someone who has an understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and the challenges to navigate education, welfare and health systems. They will need to understand the needs of families and be able to work collaboratively.

The role will be responsible for the integration of our Support Worker team and family support services, ensuring best practice and identifying training needs as they arise.

You must be well organised and able to demonstrate the ability to develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. As a self-starter, you will be able to use your own initiative, can problem solve and prioritise, with good planning and organisational skills. You will be expected to manage your weekly diary ensuring you are offering timely, quality support across our sites and within the community. You will be expected to have a positive, resilient attitude, be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible and adaptable.

Context

Childhood First enables children and young people to recover from early life abuse and relational trauma, to enjoy life and to achieve their potential. We do this through the provision of specialist therapeutic residential care and treatment, together with family and network support.

Purpose

This role has arisen through retirement. It is a broad role within a small proactive team in which the successful candidate will both lead and support a range of finance and quality assurance functions.

You will also be proactive and engaged with the business and organisational dynamics including playing your part in the relationships with the finance team, other central service staff and those working in the communities to deliver therapeutic services to children and young people in our care.

What you’ll bring to the role

Community Engagement Coordinator – North Region, England

Location: This post is home-based, working within BookTrust’s Northern England region, which covers the North West, North East, and Yorkshire & the Humber. The role requires flexibility and travel across the region and to other BookTrust offices in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will work within the regional partnerships team.  You will manage a caseload of community work to support programme delivery, partnership network development and bespoke learning and development with the BookTrust partner network. You will create excellent links into communities and develop relationships with stakeholders in order to support BookTrust delivery and development, and place-based, community-led initiatives.

We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic, credible ambassador with a demonstrable ability to make connections across a wide range of people and groups in order to deliver ambitious projects. You will have great communications skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of audiences, in writing and in person. Main duties:

• To identify and research themes for each issue, sourcing and managing contributors to ensure the magazine has a clear, consistent, relevant and interesting voice to the readership.

Our client is seeking an experienced leader with significant experience of managing, developing and evaluating effective and innovative services for vulnerable children and families. You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of issues relating to services for young people, specifically around emotional wellbeing, mental health and exploitation. You will also have proven experience of managing large, geographically-dispersed teams, and will have significant experience of tendering and commissioning processes and managing a variety of contracts.

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served. 

Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. ABOUT THE ROLE 

As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, your main focus will be trusts and foundations: researching opportunities, writing persuasive applications and producing clear reports. You’ll also play a part in growing support from corporates, community fundraising, individual donors and major gifts, helping to build a broader base of income over time. 

Alongside this, you’ll lead on communications. That means keeping our website and social channels current, producing supporter newsletters, and sharing our story more widely through PR and campaigns. You’ll help make sure the difference TRAIN makes for young people is seen and understood by funders, partners and the local community. 

It’s a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who enjoys writing, building relationships and juggling different projects. You don’t need to be an experienced fundraiser — we’re open to people with transferable skills, whether from corporate, public or third sector backgrounds. What matters most is that you can communicate clearly, organise your workload, and are motivated by making a difference for young people. 

You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the team. This is a part-time role of approximately 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot with hybrid working, but for the right candidate we will consider a fully remote arrangement. 

SALARY AND BENEFITS 

• Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 FTE (pro-rated, depending on experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Fundraising (approx. 80%) 

• Pipeline and planning – work with the CEO to keep a clear fundraising plan, with trusts and foundations as the main focus alongside manageable growth in corporates, community, and individual giving. 

• Trusts and foundations – research prospects, build a live pipeline, and write strong, tailored bids. Prepare accurate budgets and gather evidence from the team to strengthen proposals. 

• Reporting and stewardship – deliver timely reports, thank funders and donors well, and manage renewals and uplift opportunities. 

• Relationship development – nurture links with local businesses, community groups and potential major donors. Prepare simple proposals and support fundraising events or activities as needed. 

• Systems and compliance – maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes. Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and charity regulations. 

Communications (approx. 20%) 

• Supporter communications – produce engaging newsletters, updates and thank-yous that connect donors and partners with TRAIN’s impact. 

• Digital presence – update the website and social media channels with accurate, timely content that reflects TRAIN’s work and values. 

• PR and profile – share stories with local media, partners and networks. Ensure TRAIN’s messaging is clear, consistent and accessible. 

• Community engagement – promote TRAIN’s profile, youth offer, brand and presence in the community. 

General 

• Work closely with the CEO to align fundraising and comms priorities. 

• Collaborate with youth work staff to gather stories, quotes and data that demonstrate TRAIN’s impact. 

• Represent TRAIN at meetings and community events. 

• Contribute to the life of a small, collaborative team.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Corporate Partnerships Team. Reporting into the Corporate Partnerships Manger, the post holder will work with the Corporate Partnerships Team to deliver the corporate fundraising strategy.

The post holder will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partnerships, stewarding supporters, organising and managing corporate events as well as supporting with content for corporate partner communications.

Key Responsibilities will include:

To assist the Corporate Partnerships Team in delivering against their financial and non-financial targets as specified within the corporate fundraising strategy.

Income generation.

• Management of your own portfolio of corporate accounts which includes providing outstanding donor stewardship to maximise supporter experience, engagement and funds raised. 
• To work together as a team to grow corporate fundraising income through current partnerships and new business approaches, as agreed with the Head of Corporate Partnerships. 
• Utilise the CRM database to maintain accurate records for data segmentation and for income and other KPI reporting purposes. 
• Create funding reports for external partners when required. 
• Support and attend third-party corporate events as well as wider charity events. 
• Keep up to date with fundraising trends.

Communication and stewardship

• Work with the Corporate Fundraising Manager and Marketing Team to develop a communication plan for corporate accounts. 
• Interact with corporate partners on social media, as well as creating content for platforms such as LinkedIn.
• Create stewardship/development plans for corporate partners. 
• Create and deliver presentations to raise awareness of the work of the Charity.
• Deliver tours of the hospital to supporters autonomously. 

Other Duties

• Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation. 
• To act as a spokesperson for the charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate 
• Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers. Attend and support events run by the fundraising teams where required.
