What the job involves

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Support and Influencing team. As the Future Proofing Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the Future Proofing Project, which will shape our support services offer to men and their families. With the number of men diagnosed with prostate cancer set to rise in the next few years, our support services need to provide the right support and meet demand. You will be responsible for the delivery of this project and be contributing to setting the direction for our future service offer – you will really be making a difference to men’s lives.

What we want from you

You will be a brilliant agile project manager with a passion for helping others and changing lives through service improvement. You will be quick on your feet and able to juggle competing workstreams both internally and externally, as well as being able to communicate confidently and be comfortable presenting your ideas and creative solutions. You’ll also be great at building working relationships with colleagues, as well as work sensitively and tactfully with stakeholders. You will also possess a track record as a project manager in a service delivery setting and have experience in managing service redesign or development projects within a health setting.

Why work for us?

We have a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support, we can make prostate cancer a disease the next generation of men need not fear. Be part of a team that will put an end to prostate cancer being a killer.

The support we’ll provide

Join our team and you’ll be working at an award-winning charity that will help you learn, develop your skills and expertise, and achieve your highest aspirations. We provide everything you’d expect from a professional organisation – competitive benefits package, contributory pension scheme, life insurance and a season ticket loan – but much more besides. Work with us and you’ll see your efforts pay off as we fight for a better future for men.

Closing date: Midnight, 15 December 2019.

Interview date: 6 January 2020.

We welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Prostate Cancer UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (1005541) and in Scotland (SC039332). Registered company number 02653887.
