We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing fundraising team as we look toward the charity's 100th anniversary in 2028.

The Fundraiser - Corporate & Events will play a pivotal role in enabing Deafblind UK to achieve its goals - helping us to reach more supporters, inspire long-term giving, and raise vital funds through corporate partnerships and charity-led fundraising events. You’ll be at the heart of building relationships, creating impact, and driving income that directly transforms the support available for people with dual sensory loss.

Reporting to the Fundraising Development Manager, the Fundraiser - Corporate and Events will be responsible for growing our existing supporter base and driving engagement, loyalty and income through innovative corporate fundraising activities and charity-led fundraising events. You will be responsible for implementing fundraising strategies, coordinating campaigns, and developing strong connections with businesses in order to generate income and meet targets.

The role includes helping to market and promote Deafblind UK events, with a focus on writing compelling copy for online and offline promotion. The postholder will have a flair for creativity and innovation, with outstanding supporter relationship management skills; to help enhance income generation through mass participation events. Our aim is to ensure all fundraising activities are delivered to the highest standards and are well-planned, exciting, safe, creative and challenging.

This is a highly rewarding position for a creative and dynamic individual to make a genuine difference to the support available for the 450,000 people across the UK who are deafblind.

This position is based remotely with frequent travel as and when required to carry out the duties of the role.

The role will also include:

• Building and managing a portfolio of corporate partnerships, delivering engaging activities such as networking events, golf days, and workplace fundraising.
• Leading on the planning and delivery of charity-led fundraising events, ensuring they are successful, safe, accessible, and memorable.
• Developing and stewarding lasting relationships with businesses, supporters, and volunteers, ensuring excellent supporter experiences.
• Growing income through creative initiatives, from collection pots in high-footfall areas to securing pro-bono and in-kind support.
• Working closely with our Fundraising Development Manager and Marketing Team to deliver fundraising targets and raise Deafblind UK’s profile.

You will bring to the role:

• A minimum of two years in a fundraising role, with a flair for building and maintaining strong relationships.
• A natural talent for networking and the ability to inspire passion in others.
• Proven experience in managing events and a demonstrable track record of meeting fundraising targets.
• Creativity to spot opportunities paired with the organisational skills to deliver them seamlessly.
• A self-motivated, energetic, and passionate approach to delivering excellent supporter experiences.
• A flexible, can-do attitude to some evening and weekend working as the needs of the role requires.
• Good IT skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook. Experience of database management preferably CRM.

JOB PURPOSE 
 

This is a pivotal role in supporting and elevating our philanthropy and partnerships programmes which have seen significant growth in recent years. You will play a key part in helping the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy (PPH) team cultivate meaningful relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), major donors, foundations, and corporate partners through high-quality events that inspire, engage, and deepen commitment to the refugee cause.
 

We are looking for a creative and strategic professional who thrives on delivering impactful experiences for influential audiences. You will have proven expertise in managing complex, high-profile events, exceptional communication and project management skills, and the ability to craft compelling event themes that connect supporters to UNHCR’s global mission.
 

Working closely with the PPH team and international colleagues, you will design and execute a portfolio of bespoke in-person and virtual events - from intimate donor briefings to large-scale gatherings - that showcase UNHCR’s priority programmes and leadership. The SSAFA Events team is a small team with a high output both financially and in terms of number of events produced. We work closely together and thrive to deliver high quality, successful events.

About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have an understanding of the charity sector and ideally a background of working in charity events. You will be driven, conscientious and have high attention to detail. In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to develop positive relationships with our supporters in order to manage and grow existing events and relationships. As this role supports major events throughout the year, you should also be able to work evenings and weekends when required, and travel across the UK and abroad to support event delivery.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Community and Events Manager who will play a key role in growing Playskill's income through community, coporate and event fundraising. 

Working closely with the Head of Fundraising & Marketing, you will develop new fundraising opportunities, steward existing supporters, and create initiatives that introduce new people to the Playskill community.

You will lead on community and corporate partnerships, manage flagship and fundraising events (including Playskill’s Annual Golf Day), and line-manage the Fundraising Officer.

The ELHAP Volunteer and Community Events Officer will play a pivotal role in enabling ELHAP to achieve its goals - helping us to reach more supporters and raise vital funds through volunteering partnerships and community fundraising events. Job summary

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a charity that supports members who work in, or are interested in, tropical medicine and global health.

In September 2028 it is hosting the International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM) on behalf of the International Federation for Tropical Medicine (IFTM), in Liverpool, UK.

ICTMM 2028 expects to receive over 1,500 attendees, hopefully with over 40% coming from outside of Europe. It is an educational meeting with a high proportion of the content driven by abstracts. The event is being delivered by RSTMH with the support of a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).

The ICTMM Events Manager has responsibility for coordinating the development and delivery of ICTMM 2028 at RSTMH, working with the RSTMH team, the PCO, the event venue ACC Liverpool, IFTM, and other suppliers.  The individual would be based at RSTMH where the role would start on a part-time basis and move to be full-time 17 months before the event.

The role requires an able self-starter who understands the logistics and considerations of running a scientific, abstract-driven event of 1,500+ attendees, of working with a PCO and of educational events attended by a high number of international guests.  There will be some travel to Liverpool and the role would require some overnight stays there before and during the event.

The candidate needs to have excellent event and project management skills, communication and relationship building skills, and be organised and flexible with a great attention to detail.  They should be as comfortable developing an events strategy as answering queries about tickets sales and negotiating sponsorship. Alongside delivering the ICTMM meeting there are opportunities for partners to deliver events at the same venue, which are also the responsibility of the events manager.

The role will start as three days per week and then move to be full time as we approach the event. The current expected timings are:

• 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 – 21 hours/3 days per week
• 1 April 2027 to 30 September 2028 – 35 hours/ 5 days per week

Up to 1 April 2027 the role will be office-based in our London (Bloomsbury) offices, although there is flexibility to set your own days between Tuesday to Fridays (working hours must include our core times of 10am – 4pm).

The role may also require work in the evenings or weekends and potential time staying in Liverpool.

Main responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive project plan for all aspects of ICTMM 2028, working with the PCO, and be responsible for ensuring all stakeholders meet deadlines leading up to the event
• Coordinate stakeholders working on ICTMM 2028, ensuring all are up to date with progress and relations run smoothly – including RSTMH, PCO, conference venue, IFTM, ICTMM Strategic, Sponsorship and Scientific Committees and other third parties
• Work with RSTMH CEO to recruit Scientific Committee Chairs and members, develop a long list of partners and sponsors for funding and support, and develop legal agreements for these
• Develop and disseminate accurate and timely content about ICTMM through a dedicated website, a dedicated newsletter and other marketing materials, which is high quality and accessible
• Work with the RSTMH CEO and PCO to deliver sponsorship and other financial support for the event
• Help coordinate meetings of the ICTMM Committees where needed
• Assist the PCO with activities to maximise attendance to the event

• Oversight and responsibility for the budget and re-forecasting of income and expenditure for the event
