Job description

We aim to bring colour to the lives of children and adults with learning disabilities by providing an extensive programme of after school, weekend and holiday clubs and activities. Our most important measure of success is if our members and their parent / carers tell us they are having fun at our sessions - and they do! And so does everyone who works at Kangaroos.

We are looking for an experienced and creative person who can lead on all aspects of our communications work. Our primary target audiences are the people with learning disabilities and their families that we seek to serve and our many supporters and donors.

If you have managed and developed creative website content (preferably with WordPress experience), are an avid user of social media to reach existing and new audiences and have knowledge of traditional media then we would really like to hear from you.

The position is for 21 hours a week which can be worked flexibly. Most of our staff work partly at the office and partly from home. Depending on experience the actual salary will be around £15,900 (£26,500 FTE). We plan to interview on the 28th September.
