The Fundraising Manager is a new and exciting role at The Kids Network. You will be responsible for leading our fundraising, both digital and In real life campaigns, regular, Individual and community giving alongside our challenge events.
This role is suited for someone ambitious, target driven, with strong potential for development in a growing a fundraising team, who values fun, inclusivity, connection and building bright futures for children.
Key Fundraising Responsibilities
- To increase income generated from individual giving fundraising activities,
- Lead and grow our challenge events participation and portfolio,
- To create and execute a donor retention, uplift, and acquisition strategy,
- To lead on developing our Salesforce CRM system, working closely with the Operations Manager,
- To manage the individual giving budget in line with objectives and KPIs, reporting to the Head of Income Generation on income and expenditure,
- To test, implement, monitor, and evaluate existing and new fundraising asks and channels to increase two-way engagement with donors,
- To develop and manage high quality supporter care, including creating a journey to respond, thank and update our donors on the impact of their support,
- Draft engaging supporter communications, in line with our supporter journey to maximise Individual and monthly giving,
- To develop a volunteer-base of fundraisers,
- To manage and deliver integrated online and offline campaigns Including our bi-annual match funding campaigns,
- Track and process our annual gift aid claim,
- Manage our social media channels with engaging content until the arrival of a Fundraising Officer In Summer 2022,
- Report to the Head of Income Generation with progress against KPIs.
Managing Relationships
- To build strong internal working relationships with colleagues,
- To work with the Programmes team to gain support and cross selling opportunities within the prospective, mentor and alumni mentor network,
- Lead and manage related external platforms including outsourced platforms e.g. Enthuse, donation button.
Other
- Proactively ensure all materials produced are accurate and compliant with relevant GDPR protection and Gift Aid legislation.
- Process the annual gift aid claim.
- To undertake all activities in line with best practice standards and processes as set out by the Fundraising Code of Practice and industry regulatory bodies.
- To keep abreast of developments in individual giving and ensure charity compliance.
- To contribute to the Fundraising Team’s strategic planning and budget process.
About you
You will need to be confident in digital acquisition; attracting and retaining supporters and donors through digital resources, remaining up to date on current digital tools and trends. You will be a people and process person, utilising you skills to grow our supporter base.
For this role you must have fundraising experience and extensive experience in a busy environment including the use of CRM (Ideally Salesforce) and other data systems.
Personal Specification
- Experience creating and implementing successful individual giving donor stewardship plans.
- Proficient with fundraising CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
- Ability to create, write, and deliver strong fundraising appeals across all platforms.
- Ability to write compelling cases studies and cost examples.
- Outstanding verbal and written skills. Able to engage audiences using a range of communication tools.
- Exceptional analytical skills to be able to evaluate our donor base and create effective tiered donor stewardship plans.
- Significant direct marketing skills: devising and delivering social media and print campaigns.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and to secure resources and support from colleagues in different teams.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; confident and personable with the ability to manage and build strong relationships with key individual donors.
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills. Able to plan / prioritise own work and meet agreed deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks.

The Kids Network is looking for a volunteer recruitment officer to support the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers so that they can become mentors on our programme.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role supports our work to run our programme by ensuring that we recruit and onboard enough volunteers to become our wonderful mentors.
As our Volunteer Recruitment Officer, you will be the first point of contact for people volunteering to be mentors. You will ensure that our volunteers receive the highest level of customer service and have a great experience in all contacts with our charity.
Working closely with the Volunteer Operations Leader, you will implement our volunteer onboarding journey, leading on pipeline outputs to support volunteers from application to active mentoring.
You will be organised, proactive, and personable, conducting interviews with prospective volunteer mentors, building external relationships and managing data and CRM systems.
5 days a week (35 hours)

Some weekend and evening work is required, which TOIL can be claimed
We will be holding first round calls on the week commencing 3rd November, with the form second round taking place on Friday 14th November

Key responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment pipeline:
· Respond to all incoming enquiries and volunteer applications in a timely manner and in line with the charity's recruitment processes
· Responsible for clear communication to all prospective mentors in the pipeline, always giving a high level of customer service to volunteers and answering queries in a friendly professional manner
· Ensure every prospective mentor fully understands the benefits of volunteering with The Kids Network and has a first-class onboarding experience.
· Conduct volunteer interviews on a weekly basis to meet demand
· Call volunteers on a regular basis to check in on their progress and supporting them with their volunteer journey
· Maintain excellent data hygiene, ensuring at all times the charities CRM salesforce is being updated to ensure the pipeline is maintained
· Maintain the organisation vetting platform, following up with all volunteers who are stuck at various stages of the vetting checks process
· Carry out all the training admin pre and post the training day, working with the Volunteer Operations Leader to ensure this runs smoothly with high attendance
· Deliver 1 day weekend volunteer training alongside our Delivery Team when required.
Volunteer Recruitment Outreach:
· Maintain our digital recruitment streams
· Understand the communities we work in, working with the Volunteer Operations Leader to establishing links with community groups and local opportunities to attract different demographics
· Attend volunteer recruitment fairs and networking opportunities to promote volunteering with The Kids Network.
· Support with the admin and set up for those wanting to volunteer through a placement
· Follow the charity’s communication guidance and support communications work to attract and retain volunteers
· Feed ideas into and help to create content for emails being sent to volunteers in the pipeline and potential volunteers outside the organisation
· Attend mentee and mentor group activity sessions from time to time to better understand the purpose of our work
· Be an ambassador for The Kids Network
Safer Recruitment & Safeguarding:
· Assess new incoming applications in line with suitability for the role and scoring criteria
· Vet volunteers at all stages of the recruitment process, including interview and training in line with the charities safer recruitment policy
· Collect references and conduct DBS and oversees checks in line with our safer recruitment practices
· Uphold our safeguarding principles and processes to the highest standard,
· Book and coordinate safer recruitment panels throughout the year,
· Act in compliance with our policies and processes at all times, using Salesforce CRM, ensuring data is stored and managed in line with GDPR,

Desirable:
· Track record of recruiting volunteers effectively or staff in a HR setting,
· Experience in following safeguarding processes
· Experience using Salesforce.
