The Role
The Supporter Journey Team is responsible for delivering world-class behavioural journeys for our charity partners.
You will ensure that we are continuously providing the best supporter journeys in the sector by designing, building, delivering and optimising omni-channel behavioural journeys at scale, in turn delivering value to our clients.
Working across both Social Mind and Social Sync, you will join an existing team reporting into our Campaign Manager and you will ensure all our charity partners and their supporters receive personal, bespoke communications to maximise fundraising for our charity partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development:
- Develop comprehensive, integrated journeys for supporters across multiple channels.
- Ensure these journeys are behavioural and provide a great stewardship experience for supporters.
- Performance Analysis:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of supporter journeys.
- Analyse key metrics to assess the contribution of these journeys to overall goals, for example, email open and click through rates.
- Optimisation and Supporter Experience:
- Identify areas for improvement within existing journeys.
- Propose and implement enhancements based on testing and learning outcomes.
- React to key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint opportunities for journey improvements to help drive campaign performance and income.
- Make data-driven decisions to refine and improve the journeys.
- Commit to delivering a high-quality experience for all supporters.
- Address and resolve any issues impacting supporter satisfaction promptly.
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience of designing, creating and delivering outstanding supporter experiences that increase engagement, fundraising rates and average value.
- Ability to understand our charity partners objectives and translating that into exceptional supporter experiences at scale.
- Ability to analyse data and make recommendations that improve fundraising and the supporter experience.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience of writing stewardship copy and ability to adopt different charity’s tone of voice.
- Experience of using communication software.
- Be comfortable operating in a fast paced start up environment, working efficiently at pace with available resources.
- Basic understanding of Charity Law, Data Protection Law, The Fundraising Code of Practice, and other relevant marketing and fundraising standards across the UK

Via home visits, you will work with each tenant to agree a support plan to enable them to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.

You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets.
To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and able to establish relationships based on trust with different people.

Mind in Enfield and Barnet is a fast-growing charity in North London providing much needed therapy, wellbeing support and advocacy services to people with mental health problems.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Accountant to strategically lead and develop the finance team of Mind in Enfield and Barnet.
The role will:
- lead on managing financial sustainability and the assets of the organisation
- ensure compliance to all law and regulation relating to charity finance
- support the CEO in ensuring the effective governance of the organisation
Duties will include working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team on developing the organisation and managing change to sustain and grow the organisation. The successful candidate will also work with the team on potential new funded projects, inputting into proposal/bids. They will provide financial oversight of bid preparation and business development opportunities, and have a strategic overview and management of the finances for all service projects and levels of staffing to sustain projects and growth for the organisation.
Finance duties
- Work with the CEO to ensure good financial practices in place and bring to the immediate attention of the CEO, SLT, the Finance & HR Committee (FHRC) and Trustees, as appropriate, any and all areas of financial and risk control.
- Manage the overall financial strategy, preparing 3-year plans, budgets, forecasts & monthly management accounts which are prepared accurately and delivered in a timely manner.
- Produce and monitor a cash flow forecast and highlight any risks to the organisation.
- Monitor and explain variances and ensure timely action to correct any issues.
- Together with HR, prepare monthly payroll instruction, check payroll and organise timely payment. Work with HR, to ensure HR documentation is consistent with payroll and forecast.
- Ensure all sales and purchase transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Work with SLT to ensure necessary in place contractual and purchase order documentation in place for income.
- Maintain accounting controls and implement policies and procedures which meet the requirements of SORP and ensure a secure and confidential financial system with appropriate backups.
- Manage financial audits including all necessary preparatory work and interface with auditors.
- Identify areas for financial process improvement and streamlining.
Education & Qualification
- Educated to at least degree
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA)
This is a part time position, (14 hours per week), based remotely. You will be expected to attend Barnet (N12) and Enfield (N9) offices when necessary.

About the Help Chapter
The Help chapter brings together our core services responsible for responding to incoming enquiries from supporters, beneficiaries, and members of the public, including managing and responding to feedback and complaints.
About the role
As a Chapter Member at the National Deaf Children's Society, you'll be in a Chapter of like-minded and skilled specialists, experts, and emerging experts. Chapters are self-organising, and every member has a vital role to play, sharing their skills, knowledge and experience and learning and developing together. Led by the Chapter Lead all Chapter Members will value and respect each other's contribution and learn and develop collaboratively.
This role will design, implement and manage systems to ensure that fundraising and marketing activity is of a high quality, complies with relevant legislation and sector codes and is consistent with National Deaf Children’s Society policies.
You will carry out a programme of detailed quality assurance activity and monitoring to identify areas where improvements can be made and provide fundraising teams with recommended actions. This work has a particular focus on the management of telemarketing and face to face recruitment.
You will prepare reports for internal teams and stakeholders and provide support and guidance to fundraising staff in relation to compliance and what is required of them.
You will network effectively with peers across the sector and engage with external regulatory and sector bodies, such as the Fundraising Regulator, the CIOF, the DMA and the ICO, to ensure that the organisation is aware of all relevant developments and our views and priorities are taken into consideration; actively participating in sector consultations, meetings and working groups as appropriate.

What might a day in the life look like?
- Take ownership of and manage our internal Call Monitoring process – selecting and allocating calls from our agencies and listening to the majority to recognise any potential issues or trends that may arise.
- To follow up any feedback with the agencies and ensure they are compliant with fundraising code of practice.
- Updating and monitoring the site lists on our websites to ensure our supporters know where we are.
- Attend monthly and ad-hoc compliance forums and engage with external bodies to ensure we are maintaining standards across the sector. A chance to network with peers and even offer insight into our best practise.
- Quarterly due diligence checks with our agencies, along with monitoring of job adverts and contracts to ensure compliance.
- To manage and monitor our Mystery Shopping programme – engaging with the agencies regarding feedback and follow up, and approving invoices.
- A monthly compliance tracker to be shared internally so we know our key areas of focus.
- Management of our fundraising shadowing programme, with the occasional visits to our agencies for compliance training, feedback and shadowing.
- To help the organisation to deliver excellent standards of supporter care by providing cover for the team where necessary.
- To identify compliance issues which require follow-up or investigation and to conduct or direct any internal investigation.
- To conduct periodic audits (including National Deaf Children’s Society’s fundraising suppliers) to ensure that compliance procedures are followed and that compliance systems are effective.

Position Overview

You will ensure that all funds raised are received promptly and in compliance with legal and internal guidelines.
Location: Home-based. Option to work on a hybrid-basis from the Northampton office is available.
What are we looking for?
A background in fundraising or sales and account management. You should have experience in coaching and motivating others, helping them to achieve their fundraising targets.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You will need to connect with supporters through various channels, fostering an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Your ability to understand and relate to the motivations of our fundraisers will be crucial.
Resilience and flexibility are important as you adapt to changing circumstances. You should also be skilled in time management, able to prioritise your workload and manage competing priorities effectively. If you are passionate about inspiring others and making a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.
