Following a successful application to the Henry Smith Charity, we are seeking a part-time LGBTQ+ Young People and Family Support Worker (17.5-hours per week) to join our LGBTQ+ yOUTh service.
The right candidate will have:
• JNC Level 3 Youth and Community Work qualification or equivalent (or due to complete 2025)
• A minimum 12-months experience of working with young people and/or families
• An ability to assess needs and involve young people in identifying appropriate self-action plans
• Knowledge and understanding of the impact of Homophobia, Biphobia and transphobia on LGBTQ+ young people
• A flexible approach to work and willingness to work some evenings and weekends
The main aims of the post are to ensure:
• The charity delivers quality information, advice, guidance and advocacy services which improve outcomes for LGBTQ+ young people in Calderdale
• LGBTQ+ young people who face additional access barriers are reached and given the opportunity to engage with the service, reducing their isolation and loneliness
• LGBTQ+ young people have emotionally healthy relationships with their family, friends and intimate partners

As the Senior HR Business Partner, you will:
- Partner with the organisation to deliver an effective HR Business Partnering that is focused on proactive approach and solution.
- Lead and deliver effective HR operations, ensuring systems and processes are efficient and aligned with organisational goals.
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including employee relations (ER), recruitment, workforce management and Change Programmes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on workforce initiatives and contribute to organisational development projects.
- Utilise analytics to inform HR decisions, measure the effectiveness of HR programmes, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead on the development, implementation, and periodic review of policies to support organisational effectiveness, compliance, and strategic priorities

Sessional Youth Worker (Oasis Community Hub Hadley)

Hourly Rate: £13.98 per hour
Oasis Community Hub Hadley encompasses a variety of integrated and diverse community projects which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community.
Oasis Community Hub Hadley is looking to recruit a Sessional Youth Worker to join the Oasis Youth & Community Team.
Our team offer a wide variety of Youth Work activities that promote the development of young people, including open access youth club sessions, holiday clubs, mentoring, sports activities as well as targeted support. Training will be given.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of a team be responsible for supporting on activities for young people within a number of sites in which we operate, including Oasis Academy Enfield, Oasis Academy Hadley, Ponders End Youth Centre and Bell Lane Youth Centre as arranged.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young people accessing our projects.
- Leading on activities that support the holistic development of young people.
You could be successful in this role if you:

· Have enthusiasm and work positively and inclusively with others.
· Enjoy working within a team setting.
· Are available to work evenings and unsociable hours.

In this exciting role you will work within the small Communciations & Fundraising Team to maximise income generation from individual givers through your ability to manage outstanding supporter care, accurate database management and targeted marketing via email, post, and social media.

You will conduct and present excellent analysis on all marketing activity with clear recommendations for improvements to fundraising communications alongside donor/donation and database management.
