We’re looking for pleasant and approachable drivers who are sensitive to our users’ needs.
You must hold a clean Category D1 driving licence and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of driving. The ability to maintain accurate vehicle and user records is essential as is the ability to undertake daily and weekly vehicle checks and carry out simple maintenance tasks. Desirable skills and experience include: MiDAS (Minibus Driving Awareness Scheme) training, working with people with disabilities, and a current First Aid qualification but full training can be given. A knowledge of the Reading and Basingstoke area would also be beneficial.
Hours of work:
Mornings: Tuesday (8.15 am -10.15am)
Afternoons: Tuesday (2.45pm – 4.45pm)
Plus opportunity to cover additional shifts Wednesday - Friday 8.15-10.15 and 2.45-4.45
Shifts are typically for both the morning and afternoon, but we are open to candidates who are only able to work in the morning or afternoon. We are also looking for drivers to join our bank of casual drivers.

About the Role
As Retail Area Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting a portfolio of approximately 10–15 charity shops across your region. Currently, there are 9 shops in this area – located in Cockermouth, Doncaster, Hexham, Matlock, Penrith, South Shields, Ulverston, Wetherby, and Whitby – though this may change as our retail network evolves.
While our long-term vision is to have paid Shop Managers in all our shops, approximately 80% in this area are currently run by volunteers and do not have a paid Manager. You'll work closely with and through volunteer teams (150–200 people) to drive income growth, meet key commercial targets, and deliver an exceptional experience for customers and donors alike.
You'll lead with purpose – inspiring, coaching, and empowering teams while ensuring operational excellence and championing our mission on the high street.

This is a home-based role with regular travel across your region and occasional overnight stays. You will be expected to spend an average of four days per week in the shops and reside within the area served by one of the region's shops.
In this role, you will:
- Act as an ambassador for our brand and retail strategy, motivating and inspiring your teams.
- Line manage Shop Managers, supporting with recruitment, development and performance.
- Lead commercial performance by analysing shop data, identifying opportunities, and making sound commercial decisions.
- Work closely with Business Managers during shop launches/relaunches to ensure successful handovers.

About You
You're an experienced and commercially minded retail leader with a proven track record in managing multi-site operations, ideally in a charity or high-street retail environment. You lead with strength and kindness, combining strategic thinking with a hands-on, supportive approach.
You'll bring:
- Extensive multi-site retail management experience – essential for overseeing a large, dispersed region.
- A strong commercial background, with a focus on delivering results through data-driven decision-making and KPIs.
- Experience leading and motivating diverse, remote teams, including volunteer-led shops – 7 out of 9 stores in this region currently operate without paid Shop Managers.

About the Role
As our Housing Coordinator you will ensure The Angelou Centre’s refuge accommodations continue to be a safe and welcoming safe for women. You will ensure we comply with statutory building, property and Health & Safety obligations. You will be responsible for ensuring health and safety compliance, coordinating repairs and maintenance, managing tenancy-related matters, and supporting the wellbeing of women and children accessing our refuge services. Key Responsibilities
Refuge Management
- Ensure that the refuge (dispersed accommodation) provides a safe supportive and welcoming environment in compliance with UK housing laws and the requirements of registered social landlords.
- To ensure completion of all necessary forms including housing and welfare benefit forms.
- To liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies and networks, e.g. Housing Benefit -Networks/Housing agencies
- Action any breaches of leases or tenancy agreements promptly and efficiently to ensure compliance with lease/tenancy obligations.
- Proactively address any arrears in a timely fashion and take appropriate action to recover debts.
- Working as a key part of our management team, supporting the Executive Director with planning, monitoring, evaluation and development planning

The role
Effective financial management is central to our strategy and operating model. The Finance Manager will be crucial in determining how we manage our finances, resources and operations whilst embedding a culture of financial efficiency and effective controls.

About the role:
We are looking for a passionate, ambitious Assistant Charity Shop Manager to join our successful team to help manage our charity shop in Old Swan.
The Assistant Shop Manager will be an integral part of the wider Charity team.
Main Duties/Tasks:
You will play a vital role in supporting the Shop Manager to lead, motivate, and develop a team of dedicated employees and volunteers, fostering strong community engagement and maximising the shop’s impact. The Charity retail team are currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 30th September 2025. This means that, for example, staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week to enable a four-day working week. The trial is monitoring the benefits of a four-day working week against productivity. We are confident that by embracing a more flexible and balanced approach to work, we can continue to create a thriving and fulfilling work environment while driving growth and success for our charity. A decision will be made before the 30th September 2025 to agree the next steps, based on an assessment of the trial period; the four-day working week trial may be ended, extended or adopted permanently.

You will support the promotion of sustainable shopping and the shop’s social media to increase audience reach, attract customers, donors and volunteer supporters to deliver the Retail Strategy.
Role Requirements
- To maximise shop sales by achieving agreed targets both through donated stock and bought in/new goods. This involves proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock to agreed amounts and stock planning.

Our café is an important part of the gallery, and our Cafe Team Leader is responsible for providing a welcoming, friendly environment, serving a high quality menu with excellent customer service. This is an operational and hands on role where the large majority of time is spent planning and preparing the café food and drinks and interacting with the general public. Essential Skills & Experience
- Team Leadership in a café or restaurant environment.

The Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance (the Alliance) is a group of organisations (Local government, A2 Dominion, Aspire, Connection Support, Elmore, Homeless Oxfordshire and St Mungo’s) that came together in 2022 to deliver single homelessness services across the county under one contract.
Services delivered by the Alliance include the city and county outreach services for people experiencing rough sleeping, supported accommodation such as the hostel O’Hanlon House, shared dispersed supported accommodation, and homelessness prevention services.
The Alliance is commissioned through a pooled annual budget of c£3.8m which all District Councils in Oxfordshire, the City Council, the County Council, and the Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire Integrated Care Services, contribute towards. Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City are the lead commissioners of the Alliance.
As part of the initiative, the Alliance will deliver an ambitious housing led change programme which is seeing services remodelled to support and enable people to live in their own homes and fulfil their aspirations.
This role is hosted by Connection Support which is part of the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance. The role will be guided by the work plan of both the alliance chair and the alliance commissioners.
The impact you will have
As the Oxfordshire Homelessness Alliance Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in making the alliance and the services it delivers a success. You will provide strategic and operational oversight and day to day leadership and management.
You will strive to improve the services that are delivered by working closely with the Alliance Leadership and Management Team, partners, commissioners, and organisations working to put an end to homelessness.
