We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced events professional to join the Living Wage Foundation team as an Events Manager. You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and supporting the team with innovative events to promote the Living Wage movement, support the existing employer network, increase public support for fair pay and encourage Living Wage accreditation.
You will be responsible for our annual Champion Awards ceremony and organising parliamentary events, roundtables and webinars for our network of employers and beyond, as well as providing strategic oversight of events at our annual Living Wage Week in November where we celebrate Living Wage Employers nationwide with multiple events.
The ideal candidate would be an energetic and organised events manager, with strong project management skills, the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders internally and externally and the skills to establish strong relationships. They would have experience running online and in-person events with clear objectives and connecting them to organisational strategy.
This post will be joining a Communications team that spans events, media, digital communications and research, with colleagues based across the UK with monthly in-person team meetings. Salary: £55,000- £60,000 full time equivalent. This role sits within Band C on Global Canopy’s remuneration framework.
Nature of contract: Full time or 0.8 FTE. Permanent. This is a hybrid role working from home and our office in Oxford. There is a requirement to attend the office once a week and for other meetings/work as required.

Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, this exciting new role offers the opportunity to support NHP's internal expertise on Housing; ensure we have strong partnerships with Housing Providers and grow the offers of housing from Housing Providers across the UK, to support our growth as a charity. Essentially with more housing we can establish more Local House Projects (LHPs) and expand those that already exist, and in turn support more young people.
Working closely with senior leadership team (CEO, Director of Practice and Director of Partnerships), this role will lead on developing our first Housing Strategy and ensure we have the internal knowledge, expertise and capacity to grow our housing partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
General
Lead the development and implementation of NHP’s Housing Partnership Strategy in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team ensuring aligned with organisational priorities and growth of NHP.
Build, develop and sustain a strong pipeline of housing partners across all NHP locations- at both a local and national level. Maintain effective relationships with existing providers whilst identifying new business and strategic housing opportunities to grow supply.
Work closely with local authorities (and LHPs) to understand regional housing supply, demand and challenges- with a view to informing the Housing Partnership Strategy.

This is a strategic and outward-facing leadership role focused on growing philanthropic income.

LOCATION:
This role will be based predominantly at Pavilion Buildings in Brighton. Depending on their roles, our staff can be required to work in a range of different sites, including our main training centre, enrichment site, training cafes and employer’s premises.
JOB SUMMARY
In this role, you will support the delivery and growth of Team Domenica’s thriving Trusts Fundraising programme. Following on from our recent capital appeal, Team Domenica is looking to grow its wide portfolio of grant funders to help the charity continue to deliver excellent training for young people with learning disabilities.
Working alongside the Trusts and Grants team, your focus will be on securing grant income from a variety of organisations, from medium awards to larger, six-figure gifts. You will build a pipeline of prospects and develop compelling applications that illuminate how funders’ support can change young lives. You will also be comfortable presenting your work and Team Domenica’s mission to funders or other shareholders during visits or meetings.
You will proactively help shape our Trusts’ strategy and build meaningful relationships that generate income, add value to our programmes and raise awareness of what we do. This role is ideal for someone with strong research and writing skills looking to take the next exciting step in their fundraising career and make a huge impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for supporting our Trust fundraising strategy by securing medium-sized grants, with the opportunity to work on larger (six-figure) applications in line with agreed income targets
Prepare thorough and well-researched fundraising applications
Craft progress reports for Team Domenica’s funders
Draft weekly reports on Trusts activity for the Fundraising Manager and CEO
Research new prospects to build the Trusts pipeline
Alongside the Fundraising Manager, be responsible for project managing a portfolio of funders, including drafting timelines, detailed notes and a plan for application delivery
Steward a portfolio of existing partnerships, ensuring funders have an engaging experience that involves their teams and supports our fundraising goals
Record detailed notes of funder progress and awards on Team Domenica’s CRM database (Donorfy)
Attend regular meetings with the fundraising team
Work with the Employment Team to develop funding opportunities, understand new priorities and any advancements in Team Domenica’s training programmes
Prepare and deliver presentations about Team Domenica when needed to funders, at networking events or other community activities to support relationship building

Proven record of securing small and medium sized grants within a charitable organisation
Strong, demonstrable writing skills, with the ability to create inspiring narratives. You will be comfortable working autonomously on detailed, complex bids, highlighting a clear need through storytelling
Thorough research skills
Strong numerical aptitude, with the ability to understand and manipulate budgets
Extensive experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Ability to manage workload, competing tasks and meet deadlines
Understanding of data and its importance and a willingness to learn how to report effectively using a CRM database
Demonstrative ability to cultivate effective relationships with external shareholders.

About the role
We are excited to be recruiting a Programme Manager to join The Scholars Programme team. This role will be central in ensuring high quality programme management and oversee effective stakeholder stewardship across multiple geographical areas.
Programme Managers work closely with each other, reporting to the Head of Programme Management, to ensure excellent programme delivery across the UK. Each Programme Manager will manage a team of Programme Officers, who each manage a cluster of school-PhD tutor relationships. Programme Managers oversee all aspects of programme delivery by Programme Officers, ensuring key performance indicators are met. They will coach and support their team to deal with complex and sensitive issues from schools and PhD Tutors, becoming directly involved as a point of escalation. Programme Managers will be responsible for school retention targets and will identify opportunities to promote The Scholars Programme. They will directly deliver aspects of our provision including PhD tutor training, university events and tutor assessment centres. Programme Managers also lead collaborative work with other teams, providing strategic insight and oversight of joint processes to ensure information is disseminated and key actions are taken by the Programme Management team.
The role requires a driven and dynamic team player, with experience of success in programme management. They will be positive and pro-active in finding solutions, with a commitment to delivering excellent standards. They will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners.
While this role can be based in our London or Leeds offices, or be fully remote, it will involve some travel to deliver programme events at our different university partners and to attend in-person team days.
