The House Manager has full accountability of the management of Crawford House and the efficient day-to-day running, ensuring rooms are allocated appropriately and families are supported. Asylum Justice is the only charity in Wales - and one of very few in the UK - providing free legal advice and representation to people seeking asylum, refugees, and other migrants who are excluded from legal aid. Every day, we help people navigate a hostile system, challenge injustice, and secure safety for themselves and their families.

Demand for our services is higher than ever. In the past year alone, our caseload increased by nearly 50%, and we've taken on more complex, urgent cases - including supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and people at immediate risk of destitution or deportation.

We’re now looking for a Funding Officer to join our small, committed team and help secure the resources we need to sustain and grow our work. This is a chance to make a tangible difference - not just in helping us meet income targets, but in strengthening access to justice for some of the most marginalised people in Wales.

About the role

This is a hands-on, varied role that combines fundraising, relationship management, and impact storytelling. You’ll work closely with our Legal Director and wider team to:

• Research and identify funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources
• Write compelling funding bids and reports that reflect our impact and values
• Maintain excellent relationships with funders and support project coordination with delivery partners
• Coordinate grant reporting and keep accurate records of income, spend, and deadlines
• Support internal monitoring and evaluation to strengthen our evidence base
• Help develop our approach to individual giving, fundraising events, and donor communications

Role Overview

This is an exciting and pivotal role for an experienced research and project lead. As Research Lead for the Corporate Performance Programme, you will have oversight of all aspects of research relating to three of Global Canopy’s flagship projects: Forest 500 (including Floresta 250), Forest IQ and DEFT Pathway as well as associated Guidance. You will be part of an effective team in a fast-growing and dynamic non-profit delivering on complex and impactful projects around the world.

You will manage a team of researchers, building on the strong and collaborative atmosphere already in place. You will have a vital role across the organisation with visibility of other research projects too, including how they complement each other and interact, and work with other experts such as those from communications or Human Rights.

The Research Lead contributes to strategy developments and innovations in our approach and in the data products and tools we provide. You will work with colleagues to help secure funding for the continued impact of our research as the world changes.

You will lead methodology updates in line with the Accountability Framework initiative and in the context of world events relating to forest risk commodities, and interpret methodologies for annual assessment cycles led by the team.

The impact and audience for this data will be a key focus for you. You will distill the resulting data into findings and insights for content creation and publications and will work with colleagues to ensure the data is well understood by media and assessed entities. By speaking and representing Global Canopy at events you will ensure our methodology and data is shared openly and delivers impact.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Corporate Performance (CP) research team, maintaining accountability for technical quality assurance of our data, process and findings across three of Global Canopy’s flagship projects: Forest 500+ (including Floresta 250), Forest IQ and DEFT Pathway, as well as Deforestation Free-Finance Guidance
• Lead and manage the research team, supporting Research Associates and Researchers to own and succeed in their respective projects and with the workflows they manage
• Build strong teamwork and technical excellence with a focus on impact
• Stay abreast of methodological updates, research methods and best practices across the assessment cycles, based on ongoing NGO alignment and external developments in line with our Theory of Change
• Lead cross-function collaborative team working and communication to ensure a focus on impact in research strategy and delivery, with seamless end-to-end processes up to and including data and content releases
• Strongly contribute to the management and strategy of the CP programme during a pivotal year by driving and developing new innovations
• Contribute to new fundraising proposals that strategically progress research needs and ensure continued funding.
• Deliver commitments to donors and in the CP annual plan related to research and help maintain donor relationships by reporting on Research-led deliverables
• Connect the CP programme with its target audiences and extend impact by engaging with NGOs, working with the Communications team to create public-facing content, and representing Global Canopy externally, particularly on technical elements of the methodology, best practice and findings

Benefits

Salary: £60k full time equivalent. This role sits within Band C on Global Canopy’s remuneration framework.

Nature of contract: Full-time, fixed-term (24 months), with possibility to extend dependent on funding. We are a flexible employer and welcome candidates wishing to work flexibly.

Base: Our office is in Oxford, with flexible home-working arrangements in place. Ability to attend the office fortnightly at minimum would be desirable.

About the role
 
As a Maintenance Surveyor, you’ll deliver repairs and voids maintenance services for up to 800 properties across your region, collaborating with our teams and contractors to provide our customers with high-quality, timely repairs. The role is a mixture of site visits and desk-based work. About the role

The Fundraising Lead (Corporate & Grants) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of income generation for Planet Patrol, including the planning and delivery of our fundraising strategy; with a focus on corporates and grants. You will secure new partnerships and sponsorships, and develop high-value, multi-year commitments that align with both Planet Patrol’s priorities and our funders objectives. Whilst this role is fixed term, we hope to secure enough funding to make the role permanent.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Relationship Building

• Meet and exceed the annual new funding target of £300k, whilst maintaining existing funding agreements.
• Secure sponsorship for at least three organisational priorities worth a minimum of £50k each.
• Write and submit innovative, engaging and impactful funding applications.
• Prospect new supporters and build long-term, high-value relationships.
• Quickly and efficiently respond to calls for proposals, maximising all opportunities..
• Work with colleagues across Planet Patrol to develop and deliver bespoke opportunities aligned with funder priorities.
• Host cultivation events and support other team members in engaging prospective sponsors.
• Ensure due diligence in line with Planet Patrol’s ethics and due diligence policies.

Strategic

• Lead on the development and delivery of Planet Patrol’s fundraising strategy, setting income targets and KPIs with the Director.
• Work closely with the Head of Programmes and Campaigns to develop exciting, innovative and impactful funding propositions. 
• Contribute to the wider Organisational strategy and annual Business Plan.
• Keep abreast of sector developments and funding opportunities to ensure plans are timely and effective.

Account Management

• Maximise our existing portfolio of corporate supporters, ensuring timely delivery of benefits, publicity and events.
• Oversee reporting to funders, sponsors and partners, demonstrating impact and value.
• Manage budgets within the fundraising portfolio and contribute to organisational efficiency and effectiveness.

Marketing & Communications

• Create compelling and innovative partnership opportunities for corporate supporters.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver sponsorship benefits and ensure accurate representation of sponsors across Planet Patrol platforms.
• Coordinate sponsor advertising and communications, with support from colleagues.
• Positively represent Planet Patrol at events and conferences.

· Be directly responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day functioning of the centre including the management of the Brazelton Centre UK premises and IT, where applicable.

· Understand the legal and reporting obligations of the Brazelton Centre UK as a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and be responsible for ensuring the Centre meets these obligations including for example filing of annual accounts.

· Work with the Board of Trustees, Director, fundraising colleagues and partner organisations to increase voluntary income to the Centre to fund and trial innovative new services and research opportunities in line with our strategy

·Ensure HR policies are reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations and best practice. Develop new policies that are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and embedded within the team. 

·Update, maintain and develop employee handbook, HR templates, processes, and systems to support the delivery of an effective HR function. 

·Manage HR systems ensuring all records are maintained accurately and comply with GDPR.

·Day to day line management of a number of the Brazelton Centre staff including the development of objectives, work plans and monitoring ongoing performance, the management of annual leave and sickness and absence monitoring.

Job Description

Job purpose: To lead and develop Remember A Charity’s marketing and communications programme, in line with our core mission of making legacy giving a social norm. This core focus of the role is on growing and engaging our audiences across the charity sector (members and non-members) and professional adviser communities (solicitors, Will-writers, wealth advisers).

The Marketing Manager will also contribute to the development of our consumer PR, marketing and digital programmes, led by the Director and Digital Communications Manager respectively.

This role would suit a confident and creative individual who is enthused by the opportunity of helping charities across the UK to grow and develop their long-term income. The successful candidate will work closely with the campaign’s members, professional advisers and, of course, colleagues within Remember A Charity and the wider CIOF.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of marketing activities targeting charity sector and professional adviser audiences, aligned with organisational strategy and KPIs.
• Develop and deliver communications for charity members and Campaign Supporters.

The Role

The Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for staff and visitors, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience through face-to-face interactions and telephone communications.

Collaborating closely with the Facilities Manager and job share partner, the role involves efficiently handling queries, managing the reception email account, and coordinating visitor bookings and parking logistics.

Responsibilities also include overseeing incoming/outgoing mail, facilitating large-scale mailings via the Royal Mail online system, managing publications on behalf of the Communications team, monitoring, and replenishing stationery supplies, and producing access cards for new team members and contractors.

Additionally, the Receptionist provides support to the Facilities Manager in handling the café coffee machine and food ordering as needed. The role requires availability for full-time coverage during annual leave and absences of the other job share post holder to ensure the continuous smooth operation of the reception area.
