Breast Cancer Now is entering an exciting new phase of development, with significant investment taking place across the high value fundraising team. The Head of Corporate Partnerships sits within the senior team of a newly established High Value Partnerships & Campaign Department, which has huge ambition to transform high value income for the organisation over the next 5 years.  

We’re looking for an inspiring team leader and partnerships expert who thrives in maximising big-brand partnerships, strategic influence and embedding new ways of working. The year ahead is a significant one and the Head of Corporate Partnerships will play a key role in strengthening and stabilising BAU income while ensuring the team is set up for long-term success.

• Strategically lead a team of 4, ensuring they feel empowered and confident to take ownership of their portfolios and identify opportunities for further partnership development; 
• Refine and deliver long-term growth and retention strategies for the partnership portfolio, maximising income potential across a variety of partnership types;
• Further shape and refine new ways of working for the team, strengthening processes to enable long-term success;
• Ensure internal briefings and insight sharing are high-quality, providing key partnership information ahead of meetings and events; 
• Champion integrated partnership working across the charity, ensuring external-facing teams are aligned and able to amplify partner activity in line with organisational priorities.

• A senior fundraiser with robust experience of corporate partnerships, account management and strategic relationship development;

STRATEGIC COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT LEADER (Community Support, Empowerment, Youth and Children’s work, Academies)

Oasis in North East Lincolnshire is at an exciting stage of development. We are looking to appoint a dynamic strategic lead to develop and grow our children’s, youth and community work across the two separate Oasis neighbourhoods that work together to form the Hub charity.  The two neighbourhoods are South ward in Grimsby and Immingham. This role will oversee a team of staff and volunteers in community, bringing strategic oversight to ensure the work is tied together across North East Lincolnshire under the one hub charity to achieve the shared vision.

· Leading the local community teams as the expand the vision of developing integrated community provision involving the community and academy(ies) towards developing an Oasis movement, where those affiliated with Oasis are in the planning, delivery evaluation and sustainability of activities and services.

· Developing wide ranging advice and community support provision that are led by the community including: Resilience building provision (financial planning, healthy eating etc.), Youthwork/children’s work, Family support services Community relationship building provision (community events, befriending schemes etc.)

· Working in close partnership with key stakeholders including local community, Academy Principals and staff teams, and local community leaders to lead the Community strategic development, particularly around communication, income generation strategy and monitoring and evaluation and reporting.

· Responsibility for systems development and management across the Community Charity including all policy and procedures such as financial management, health and safety, safeguarding etc.

· Growing a team of staff and volunteers to deliver the objectives in the Community Plan that directly support students and their families in the Academy(ies) and members of the local community.

· To ensure the Oasis ethos permeates all work across the community team.

Job Profile

The Major Gifts (MGP) Executive – Corporates and Outreach (MGECO) is a hybrid role responsible for managing a small pool of corporate donors and prospects as well as working with colleagues to coordinate outreach within priority Major Donor audiences.

CAFOD’s Corporate Partnerships Portfolio has an annual target income of £858,000. The Executive will be responsible for a small group of Corporate Partners giving under £50,000/year, with the goal of maintaining and maximising the value and potential of these relationships

A key component of CAFOD’s continued MGP fundraising success is the identification and development of a strong pipeline of new major gift donors. Working with colleagues, the Executive role will identify and cultivate prospective donors with the goal of expanding the MGP Section portfolio. This will be achieved through strategic outreach work within CAFOD’s priority audiences.

The role sits within the Corporate Partnerships Team, a part of the Major Gifts and Philanthropy Section in the Fundraising and Participation Group. The post reports to the Corporate Partnerships Manager (CPM), working closely and in consultation with the Philanthropy Manager (PM) and MGP Research and Information Manager (MGPRIM). The post-holder will collaborate on strategic planning and cross-functional initiatives within the MGP section. They will also contribute to cross-team projects as agreed with the CPM.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising – ideally in major gifts and philanthropy donor management or external relationship development. They will have experience in operational planning and a collaborative mindset. They will be a confident self-starter capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to develop and grow impactful relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Partnerships Relationship Management 

• Be responsible for the day-to-day management of a small portfolio of Corporate Partner Relationships with the goal of maximising the value of relationships. This includes proposal and report writing as well as written, telephone and face-to-face communication
• Facilitate engagement with corporate partner staff to feedback on CAFOD’s work and foster participation using both traditional and innovative methods.
• Work in collaboration with colleagues across communications and digital teams to promote CAFOD’s Corporate Partnerships offer.

• Support the CPM with wide Corporate Partnership work as required.

MGP Donor Outreach

• Work collaboratively with MGP team leads and wider organisation staff to deliver a prospecting strategy which successfully identifies and engages priority audiences. These audiences include Catholic Parishes, Diaspora Communities, Catholic School Alumni, and other audiences in which high-net-worth individuals may be engaged.
• This will include responsibility for:

• • Prospecting – carrying out desk research and working with necessary internal CAFOD stakeholders to identify priority audiences.
  • Planning – Strategising engagement plans with identified audiences, working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating engagement – Working with colleagues across the MGP team and wider CAFOD staff as well as external stakeholders to coordinate the delivery of engagement activities that reach priority audiences and are in line with wider CAFOD engagement activity.

• Ensure that the MGP prospecting and outreach strategy is in line with the wider organisation strategy and priorities, communicating progress with colleagues across the organisation regularly.
• Establish and work to clear success measures and KPIs, set targets for the overall strategy and specific engagements, and ensure appropriate tools and resources are in place to achieve them.

 Administrative, Support, and Planning

• Support in the administration of corporate donor portfolio, working with CAFOD colleagues to transition donors out of and receive donors into the corporates portfolio when necessary.
• Work with the Corporate Partnership Manager and Philanthropy Manager to shape strategy, support forecast targets and activities as well as reporting,  planning and budgeting.

 Safeguarding

• All CAFOD staff share the responsibility to promote and maintain a strong safeguarding culture, including identifying the key actions they should take given their role and responsibilities.

Job Specific Competencies

Essential Criteria

• Clear understanding of corporate partnership and major donor fundraising and an ability to build relationships at various levels to achieve objectives.
• Comfortable in the major donor and business environments; understand what decision-making processes may influence the support for charities.
• Strong in writing effective supporter communication material and confident presentation skills.
• Strong research skills to identify potential donors and engagement opportunities within priority communities.
• A sound knowledge of the life, structures and networks of the Catholic communities of England and Wales and how to effectively engage those who may support through major gifts.

As a Legacy Administration Manager you will:

• Manage the full legacy administration process, from notification through to receipt of income
• Create and maintain accurate digital and physical legacy records
• Respond sensitively and promptly to all legacy related correspondence
• Review and approve estate accounts, questioning anomalies where appropriate
• Liaise with executors, solicitors and co-beneficiaries to progress estates and protect the charity’s entitlement
• Identify, escalate and help resolve complex, contentious or high-risk cases, working with legal advisers as needed
• Support and advise lay executors when required
• Follow up stalled or inactive cases to ensure progress
• Maintain and improve legacy administration policies, processes and compliance with relevant legislation and best practice

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Proven experience of managing legacy gifts and estate administration

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and people-focused Payroll Manager to lead our payroll service and help make sure every colleague is paid accurately, on time, and with confidence.

Based in our London office (with flexible remote working), you’ll take the lead on all aspects of payroll delivery, overseeing the i-Trent system you will work closely with colleagues across HR, Finance and the wider organisation. Role summary:

UK Community Foundations is looking for a part-time Project Manager to support the team on an interim fixed-term basis of 3 months (commencing as soon as possible).

The main purpose of this role is to lead on our Revitalising Trusts Programme which we run in partnership with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. The Revitalising Trusts Programme aims to ensure that inactive charitable trusts are either revitalised, or their assets are transferred to another charity (in the cases we manage, this is typically to a community foundation).

You will be highly organised, proactive and have excellent attention to detail – a completer-finisher who takes pride in seeing projects through to the end. The ability to build strong relationships with member community foundations and the team at the Charity Commission is crucial to the programme’s success. Legal and charity governance experience is not essential but would be an asset to the role.

The successful Project Manager will be asked to provide support to the wider team on other strategic projects as needed, so we welcome an open and flexible mindset.

The role is very flexible. We are largely a fully remote team (with some desk space available in central London, if preferred). We are open to requests for flexible working patterns, e.g. 2 or 3 days per week, or a few hours each day. This is advertised as a 3-month fixed-term contract but there may be scope to extend the role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead on the delivery of the Revitalising Trusts Programme

Guts UK is the only charity that covers the digestive system from top to tail, including the gut, the liver and the pancreas. The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. We have Drop in Centres and Street Outreach services for children currently living on the streets. We offer short term residential care in our Halfway Homes or Drug Rehabilitation Centre to help children to transition off the streets, and follow up care and support for when a child has been resettled home to their family. We also offer educational support, and/ or business skills start up and training where assessed to be needed to help a child to settle home successfully and to ensure their family can thrive in the long term.

We are looking to recruit a new CEO who believes in our vision that there should be “No Street Called Home” for children living on the streets in Uganda and who wants to help us to grow this impact and further change children’s lives.

Our Journey

S.A.L.V.E. International was founded in 2008 by Helen Huthwaite and Nicola Sansom. Since then, we have gone on to resettle 978 street connected children with their families. We have also supported 378 young people through education, rehabilitated over 1000 street connected children at our Residential Centre and initiated 495 small businesses to support families. Over the years, our advocacy work has included being part of Small Charity Week in the UK parliament, and being part of a delegation to the UN with the Consortium for Street Children.

Today we employ 4 staff in the UK and 27 in Uganda. Our annual turnover is approximately £300k. New developments in our work include sports programming and a very promising tailoring course. We are well on track to achieve our 2022-27 strategic goals - reaching more children, expanding support for girls, strengthening families and improving our funding sustainability.

Looking forward, the demand for our services continues to grow, whilst charities in general are facing a very difficult financial position. We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer who will consolidate and develop existing initiatives and continue to diversify our provision. They must be able to enhance our efforts to improve our long-term financial sustainability. Working in collaboration with the Board, they will develop our next strategic plan in line with our vision and values.

Job Purpose

● To be a visionary who drives forwards and maximises the impact of the organisation. Working with the Board of Trustees to ensure that a strong vision with clear strategic planning is in place for the organisation to best benefit our service users.

• Lead the organisation by working collaboratively with our global team of staff, volunteers, and board members to ensure a strong strategic plan is in place, which is reviewed and improved over time to maximise the organisation’s impact.

FUNDRAISING

• Leading and championing our fundraising strategy. Helping to develop our one off and regular financial supporters through finding new opportunities and networks, giving talks, ensuring quality timely communications, and reporting to existing supporters.
• Supporting and co-working with our Development Manager to research new application prospects, and helping to maintain and develop the income from our existing network of corporate, organisational and Trust and Foundation partnerships and donors. This includes writing and reviewing funding applications and reports as needed.
• Lead on the drafting of larger or multi-year funding applications, with support from the Development Manager to finalise.

FINANCE

• Overseeing the budget and financial management of the organisation to ensure the organisation’s long term sustainability and sound financial management, including creating the annual budget for approval by the UK Board.
• Collaboratively reviewing the charity’s financial controls and performance, including a final review of the monthly accounts (UK and Uganda), and overseeing the internal audit of our accounts with the finance committee.
• Ensuring the organisation is financially compliant according to the Charities Commission and meets all statutory requirements.

HR

• Recruiting, training, developing and managing staff and volunteers in the UK to help to build the capacity of the organisation as needed. This currently includes line managing: Ugandan Country Director, Development Manager, Communications Manager
• Support the Country Director with recruitment in Uganda.
• Creating a strong sense of team spirit and a culture of appreciation and reliability within the team by reinforcing organisation values and ensuring accountability.

GOVERNANCE

• Working closely with and supporting our UK and Ugandan boards to ensure that the governance of the organisation is strong.
• Lead on creating, reviewing, and developing policies, procedures and systems, including but not limited to ensuring quality safeguarding and risk management for the organisation.

• Overseeing the communications strategy of the organisation, ensuring the website, social media, newsletters, annual report and mailings out to supporters are kept up to date by supporting our Communications Manager. This includes drafting and checking copy and promoting and marketing events and campaigns for the organisation to raise funds and awareness.
• Being an advocate for the organisation, by seeking and maximising opportunities to represent the organisation, to help raise awareness and support for the work we do and the needs of street connected children generally.

PROGRAMMES and OPERATIONS

• Leading and collaborating with the wider team to develop and improve our programmes through regular evaluation and learning reviews.
• Support the Country Director to ensure the organisation operations function smoothy, and that the strategic plan can be implemented.

• Experience using programme data or M&E systems to inform fundraising proposals, impact reports or strategic decision-making.

• Relevant academic, management or professional qualification (e.g., international development, charity management, safeguarding, finance, leadership).

Location: Remote, with travel in the UK and to Uganda

Working Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
