About the role:
You will manage and develop a team of Business Development Managers, Business Development Officers and a Business Development Coordinator, creating a high-performing culture that promotes accountability, continuous improvement and learning.
You will play a critical part in driving excellence in the quality of bids, tenders and proposals. Volunteer It Yourself (VIY), a UK-wide not-for-profit organisation linked to youth skills/employment, volunteering and construction, is looking for a passionate Fundraising Coordinator to support our income generation work and help us grow our funding.
VIY combines volunteering and DIY by challenging young people aged 14-24 to learn trade and building skills, on the job, by helping to renovate and retrofit community buildings (e.g. youth clubs, community centres, sports clubs, and arts, music and cultural venues).
Importantly, the majority of young people we work with are outside of, or at risk of being outside of employment, education or training. As the Fundraising Coordinator you will support VIY’s new business function by keeping information organised, managing key systems, and helping with early‑stage bid writing. You’ll make sure the ream has what they need to move funding opportunities forward and help keep our processes running smoothly.
We’re seeking someone who is organised, curious and confident in their writing, with the ability to juggle different tasks and build positive relationships across the team. You don’t need previous fundraising experience — transferable skills from other roles or sectors are just as valuable.
You will play an important role in supporting VIY’s income growth and helping the team work efficiently as we expand nationally. The Marketing Content Executive is responsible for creating engaging, audience-focused content that supports fundraising, supporter engagement and brand objectives across digital and offline channels. The role plays a key part in bringing MAF's mission and impact to life through compelling storytelling, effective marketing copywriting and content that inspires supporters to engage, give and advocate. Working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Fundraising and Donor Experience, the role develops and adapts content for campaigns, supporter journeys, email communications, web pages, social media and printed materials, ensuring communications are creative, consistent and aligned with organisational priorities. The role also provides support for the development of supporter engagement activities and selected events, helping to create meaningful experiences that strengthen supporter relationships.
Salary:£32,510.27
Location: This role will be based at our Folkestone office, operating on a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days a week in the office.
Working Hours: Office open officially from 9am to 5.30pm (Mon-Fri) and 9am-4pm on Fridays.

Crimestoppers is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Fearless Youth Coordinator to lead the delivery of its Fearless and Bystander Approach programmes across South Wales, helping young people understand the issues affecting them and make informed decisions about reporting crime. You will work directly with young people to address key issues such as violence and serious organised crime, while also evaluating programme impact, supporting awareness campaigns, developing resources and identifying opportunities to expand the reach of the service. With a strong focus on safeguarding, collaboration and community engagement, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people across South Wales.
