This role is responsible for managing the effective functioning of the Aga Khan Centre to provide safe, efficient, secure, legally compliant and environmentally friendly spaces for residents, employees, students and visitors.

Leading a small team, the Facilities and Operations Manager will be responsible for providing a seamless support service to manage and deliver high quality proactive and reactive maintenance to a standard which is in accordance with the nature of the Aga Khan Centre and provides value for money. The role covers all aspects of repairs & maintenance including plumbing, air conditioning, electrics, building fabric, health & safety and emergency support and requires the postholder to be hands on, supporting the maintenance team with technical support, knowledge & coordination as well as executing PPM plans, managing contractors and overseeing and inspecting works.

AKC Building Operations

• Oversee and manage the teams responsible for the reception, security and cleaning.

• To prepare and keep up to date the Facilities Management (FM) Plan for AKC and the approach taken for each ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ FM service, including planned preventative maintenance and lifecycle replacements, ensuring that a suitable, safe, high-quality operating environment is provided.

• To act as a point of contact for technical support in order to reduce supplier callouts and ensure the correct supplier is allocated to resolve the problem, after issues have been looked at in-house first.

• To manage, plan and monitor the day-to-day repairs and maintenance activities of the building management team, ensuring works are completed on time, to the highest quality and in line with the approved FM plan.

• To coordinate and manage activities of suppliers working in and around AKC including checking and approving completed work, ensuring it is on budget, within agreed timescales and to the quality required. 

• To act on defects highlighted in suppliers’ reports and ensure resolution following up on any unresolved issues that could affect plant or equipment performance and safety.

• To ensure the AKC maintenance reporting system is updated with work carried out and outstanding tasks. • To ensure maintenance supplies, spares and stock levels are monitored and supplies are always available. • To receive, review, store and respond to suppliers’ reports, i.e. lifts, eye bolts, water sampling, lighting protection, etc. and supply a level of technical advice to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation.

• To maintain and review equipment asset registers and update accordingly.

• Responsible for the Health and Safety policy for AKC and liaising with outsourced consultants to ensure that AKC is compliant and required checks are carried out.

• To maintain all maintenance and H&S documents, registers and systems at all times and act as knowledge-holder on behalf of AKF(UK) for Operation Manuals, as-built drawings, maintenance records, licences and operating certificates related to AKC.

• Working in conjunction with the AKC IT team and external providers be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the core building services systems including for FM, Room Booking and Security.

• To adhere to the AKC environmental policy promoting and driving energy & water saving initiatives as well as recycling initiatives at all times.

• Plan and implement minor projects to optimize space utilisation within AKC. Participate as a key stakeholder in major projects.

• Support the relationships with the tenants of the AKC retail units.

• Ensure that the gardens embedded within the AKC, and the surrounding grounds and gardens are properly cared for and landscaped.

• Liaise with the Estate Landlord and their agents regarding estate management, central services, infrastructure and security issues and maintenance of the public realm around AKC

• Liaise with other building managers on the KX Estate and maintain good neighbourly relations.

• Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving AKC. 

AKC Building Administration

• To prepare an annual operational plan and budget for the AKC building management team.

• To provide commentary and analysis for the monthly building management finance report and work with the Property Finance Manager to ensure that there is an up to date forecast at all times.

• To lead any supplier procurement processes related to building management.

• Monitor and approve all building management supplier invoices and staff expenses for payment in line with approved budgets. Seek additional approvals for unbudgeted or excess expenditure.

• To ensure that safeguarding processes are embedded into all building management operations, all building management supplier contracts and the building management policies and processes.

• To routinely review standards of service and ensure best practices are being followed and to benchmark the costs of AKC building management against equivalent buildings to assess and demonstrate value for money.

• Manage and maintain the SLA standards, KPIs and targets for the AKC building management team.

• To own the AKC building management risk register ensuring that it is up to date at all times.

• To attend the AKF(UK) Property Committee meetings

• Work flexibly in terms of working hours to support and accommodate events and incidents outside of regular working hours.

• To ensure all tasks from the Security Audit are completed promptly, while maintaining up to date policies including the Critical Incident Plan and Office Security Plan

AKC Events

• To ensure that the building management team support the events management team with all large and complex events, including organising facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, and hospitality.

• To ensure that the building management team supports the dismantling and removal of the event materials and clearing the venue efficiently. 

People Management

• Help the AKF(UK) CEO and Senior Management Team promote an organisational culture of teamwork and service, high-quality, transparency and accountability, innovation, and inclusiveness.

• Supervise, coach and mentor building management staff, building a highly skilled and motivated team demonstrating best practice in the sector and exemplifying AKF (UK) values and behaviours.

• Oversee and set annual performance objectives and evaluate performance in accordance with the AKF (UK)’s staff performance management procedures.

• Identify staff with potential for advancement and, as part of succession planning, contribute to their development.

• Build a culture throughout the building management team of continuous improvement, in which staff are cognizant of and influence the broader learning agenda alongside delivery objectives.

Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Head of Kings Cross Properties. 

Qualifications

• A degree in Facilities Management or similar qualification would be an advantage.

You will be working within the Curriculum Team which sits within the Chief Social Worker directorate. The team oversees the design and development of Frontline’s programmes, including the Approach Social Work three-year master’s programme and our in-house practice education training known as the Consultant Social Worker (CSW) programme.

The Principal Curriculum Lead for Practice Education and Social Worker Development will be responsible for Practice Education and social worker development, providing strategic leadership and academic direction for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Practice Education CSW Programme and other training for students and qualified social workers. 

Some key responsibilities include:

• Provide vision and leadership for our Practice Education provision, ensuring programmes reflect professional standards, innovation, and best practice.
• Lead curriculum design and enhancement to maintain academic rigor, coherence, and alignment with PEPS 1 and 2 and Social Work England requirements.
• Lead and teach across the CSW practice education programme and Master’s Dissertation module, embedding innovative and research-informed pedagogy and contribute to teaching and assessment across other programmes.
• Maintain current knowledge of social work education, pedagogy, and practice through research and scholarship.

About the role

Operations (part of the Core Services Team) provides comprehensive support across Human Resources, Compliance, and Risk Management, Data Management, and Staff Engagement and supports the delivery of strategic objectives across the organisation. The role will report to the Operations Manager for operations duties.

The BSA’s Council is responsible for determining the organisation’s overall vision and strategy and ensuring good governance. Council assumes the trustee responsibilities set out by the Charity Commission regulator. They meet four times a year, usually in London with options for Council Members to attend online. Papers are prepared by BSA staff and contractors and circulated around a week in advance of the meeting. The role will report to the CEO for Council, Governance and Committee duties.

Key responsibilities

Human Resources

• Act as the primary contact for HR service requests, escalating complex issues to the Operations Manager or outsourced HR supplier as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and employee files across all HR systems, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
• Monitor and coordinate completion of mandatory compliance training

Governance and Committees

• Lead the scheduling and logistics of Council and other committee meetings, including venue booking, catering, AV and calendar management.
• Support governance record-keeping, including minute-taking, updating statutory documents as directed by the Chair and Chief Executive, and maintaining Council member records such as declarations, attendance, and terms of office.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, by maintaining Charity Commission online records and, where appropriate working with the Chief Executive, and others as appropriate in preparing formal reports for submission to relevant regulators.

Data Management

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and employee files across all HR systems, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Policy and Documentation Management: Ensure all internal documentation (policies, staff handbook, etc.) is regularly updated and accessible on SharePoint and the company website where appropriate.
• GDPR and Data Protection: Monitor and support GDPR compliance, with a focus on data retention and secure handling of personal information.
• Compliance and Risk Logs: Assist in maintaining up-to-date compliance and risk logs, reporting issues to the Operations Manager as needed.
• Health and Safety (H&S): Support the Office Manager in coordinating staff H&S documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Audit Preparation: Coordinate the collection and organisation of documents and information required for annual audits.

Staff Engagement and Additional Responsibilities

• Assist the Office Manager in planning and implementing staff social and engagement activities.
• Undertake additional tasks as reasonably required by the line manager, within the scope of the role.

Duties

• To provide legal advice and casework assistance and give appropriate advice and support to clients, managing your own caseload and making applications for public funding as required.
• To liaise with landlords’ and other parties’ representatives, solicitors, other agencies and groups as required.
• To ensure that all casework, advice, and assistance complies with the requirements of the organisation’s processes, accreditations and, where publicly funded, complies with the requirements of the Legal Aid Agency.
• To collate evidence and work in partnership with other advice providers locally and regionally to influence the development of policy and legislation in relation to housing and domestic abuse.
• To undertake outreach work, including liaising with local communities, delivering talks and presentations to groups, and visiting community settings as appropriate. Work from various locations as reasonably required.

About the role:

Responsibilities

• Lead SCF’s legacy fundraising programme, working closely with the Philanthropy Director and Senior Marketing Manager to create and deliver a legacy fundraising strategy.
• Lead on the creation and delivery of a stewardship framework to deliver an outstanding donor experience for SCF’s supporters and partners, including fundholders, corporate partners, charitable trusts, legacy pledgers and individual donors.

Merchandise and Fulfilment Manager

The Merchandise and Fulfilment Manager role sits in the Brand team and works closely with the wider department, which includes brand, a creative studio, and production. The role supports the whole organisation to source and deliver merchandise, print materials and fulfilment services. This includes the selection and management of suppliers to achieve the best value for Alzheimer’s Research UK, whilst ensuring compliance with responsible sourcing practices. The Organisation

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations. The organisation is a medium sized charity with a Board of Trustees, 24 staff and a strong ad hoc staff and volunteer base including many with direct experience of disability – all of whom are passionate about removing the barriers that disabled people face.

AoD provides five key services. These are: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, Independent Living and Direct Payments.

AoD’s Employment Service

The Action on Disability Employment Service is setting the agenda for disability employment across London with great results. We have carved out a role, and reputation, for setting up and delivering supported internships for people with learning disabilities. We provide management, job coaching and employer engagement for over 50 young people with learning disabilities each year across our 6 internship sites.

We are looking to recruit a number of job coaches to support interns and graduates of these programs in their jobs.

Background

Action on Disability is the supported employment service partner on a number of supported internships for young people with learning disabilities around West and South London. They are looking to recruit a number of job coaches to support interns and graduates of these programs in their jobs.

The Post

The purpose of the job is to provide coaching, support and guidance to young people with learning disabilities (17+) within their workplaces. You will support interns/graduates to become independent in their roles and provide the necessary coaching, training and encouragement to enable them to succeed. You will work closely with the employer to ensure they are supported and can confidently manage and train their intern/employee once your support has been withdrawn.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To carry out a detailed job analysis of potential jobs / work placements
• To carry out detailed job matching of service users and jobs
• To comprehensively learn jobs across different sectors – not restricted to but potentially including – Catering, Customer Service, Administration, IT and Retail
• To implement training/coaching plans which will enable the candidates to fulfil their roles to employer standards
• To conduct regular reviews to ensure candidates are progressing within their roles and to identify and meet new support needs
• To build up natural support within employers and taper off one 1:1 job coaching over time
• To negotiate and implement disability-related reasonable adjustments on an individual basis
• To identify client’s skills, strengths, interests and aspirations to inform an ongoing vocational profile
• To liaise with managers to discuss progress and respond to issues

Organisational responsibilities

• To work in accordance with Action on Disability’s Aims, Objectives and Values
• To comply with all organisational and departmental policies and procedures, and in particular to ensure safe, fair and responsible working practices through the implementation of AoD’s Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding and Confidentiality policies
• To promote the work of AoD and promote and implement the social model of disability
• To keep accurate records and provide monitoring statistics and evaluation information as required for internal and external purposes
• To participate in and actively contribute to individual supervision, training, team and organisational meetings
• To work flexibly, being prepared to perform other duties commensurate with the role, which may include new areas of operation following consultation

Person Specification

Essential

• High expectations for the employment potential of young people with learning disabilities
• Experience of training, education or employment support delivery for marginalised groups
• Significant and demonstrable experience of supporting people facing complex barriers to achieve their goals
• An understanding of the needs of employers and the benefits to business of having a diverse workforce
• An understanding of the Social Model of Disability and its practical application
• Ability and willingness to learn and carry out all tasks within a variety of jobs, in order to be able to coach the client
• Demonstrable experience of success in building strong and positive relationships and rapport with a wide variety of people and organisations
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills and experience
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Demonstrable ability to communicate with a wide range of people
• Good organisational skills and ability to keep accurate records and case notes
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and the internet and a good level of computer literacy.
• Being willing and able to travel easily within the boroughs of London relevant to the role
• To be available for work during some unsocial hours according to the demands of the work

Desirable

• Qualification in Advice and Guidance/Supported Employment/Youth Work or Training
• An understanding of the factors to be considered in supporting people with learning disabilities into employment
• Experience of working with disabled young people

About the role

As Head of Health and Safety, you will lead the design and delivery of an organisation-wide health and safety strategy that embeds a proactive, people-centred safety culture across Save the Children UK. You will strengthen governance and compliance, oversee incident and risk management, and ensure our systems and training empower every colleague to play their part in keeping themselves and others safe.

In this role, you will:
• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Health & Safety framework and management system aligned with UK legislation and best practice.
• Embed a proactive, positive safety culture where all colleagues understand and take ownership of health and safety.
• Oversee governance and assurance, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and alignment with SCUK's risk and compliance functions.
• Manage incident reporting, investigation, and learning processes, ensuring continuous improvement and transparency.
• Lead and develop the Health & Safety team, acting as SCUK's “Competent Person” and trusted advisor to senior leaders.
• Design and implement H&S training and competence frameworks to ensure staff, volunteers, and managers are equipped for their roles.

About you

We're looking for a Health & Safety leader with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills who is excited to deliver true impact. 

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent, with demonstrable competence as a Health & Safety leader.
• Significant experience in a senior H&S role, ideally in a complex multi-site organisation (e.g., retail, charity, facilities, or commercial).
• Proven track record of developing and embedding H&S management systems and delivering cultural change.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, risk management frameworks, and compliance obligations.
• Experience managing serious incidents, investigations, and regulatory engagement.
• Skilled communicator, able to influence senior leaders and engage volunteers and frontline staff.
• Experience building and leading H&S teams, including developing others' competence.
• Knowledge of security, and safeguarding interactions with H&S.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 or similar management systems.
• Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with leaders and influence at all levels.
• Commitment to inclusivity, wellbeing, and a “people first” approach.

Location & Ways of Working:

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but at times you will be required to come to your contracted office (usually between 2–4 days per month, depending on the needs of your role, team, or service). For many roles, this is likely to be the minimum required to deliver impact. This role will also require some travel to other offices and retail sites across the UK.
