Role Details

Job Title: Head of Programmes and Membership

Reporting to: Executive Director

Location: Hybrid/ Flexible/ IIC Office based. We are currently looking to relocate offices within central London. We are flexible on approach within a hybrid model. This can be discussed at interview.

Starting Salary: £47,500

Hours of Work: 40 hours a week with 1 hour lunch break (paid).

Contract: Full-time and Permanent. Requests for flexible working hours will be considered, including requests to work 80% FTE.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Leadership, Membership and Regional Engagement

• Develop and deliver a cohesive programme and membership strategy aligned with IIC’s Strategy 2030, purpose and strategic objectives
• Contribute to organisational leadership, planning, and decision-making as part of the senior management team
• Deputise for the Executive Director when required, representing the organisation internally and externally
• Act as the primary point of contact for IIC’s Regional Groups and network of Affiliated Professional Associations, fostering strong, collaborative relationships

Programmes

• Lead the development and delivery of IIC Learning, an integrated digital learning and events space with inter alia, online symposia, webinars, courses, workshops and hybrid bi-annual conferences.
• Oversee programme planning cycles linked to IIC’s special interest themes and communities ensuring high-quality, relevant, and accessible content.
• Build and maintain relationships with experts, speakers, partners, and contributors across the global conservation community.
• Ensure programmes support knowledge exchange, professional development, and sector leadership.
• Monitor and evaluate programme impact and performance, using insights to inform future activities.

Communications 

• Work closely with the IIC team and communications colleagues to promote programmes and membership globally
• Help strengthen IIC’s profile as a leading international voice in conservation
• Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all programme and membership activity

This role plays an important part in helping colleagues across Battersea stay informed, connected and engaged with the work we do for dogs and cats. As Internal Communications Officer, you will support the delivery of day-to-day internal communications activity across a range of channels, helping ensure staff, volunteers and trustees have access to clear, timely and engaging information.

You will contribute content across multiple internal platforms, including producing Battersea’s weekly internal newsletter and supporting the ongoing development of Pawtal, our staff intranet. The role also involves helping colleagues across the organisation manage their own content, offering advice and support to ensure information shared with staff is clear, consistent and aligned with Battersea’s priorities.

You will also support the delivery of internal engagement activity, from large-scale events such as Town Halls, roadshows and our End of Year Highlights event, to smaller sessions that showcase the work of teams across the organisation. Alongside this, you’ll assist with CEO video communications, coordinating filming and helping bring senior leader messages to life.

Working closely with the Internal Communications Manager and Internal Communications Specialist, you’ll also help monitor how our communications are performing by gathering feedback from staff and analysing engagement data to support continuous improvement.

Position Overview:

Epic is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Programs team to manage relationships and grants of nonprofits in our portfolio, and monitor and support their work over time. In particular, this role will lead the development and management  of a learning community to support our grantees and alumni beyond our financial support. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit strategy and/or social entrepreneurship, experience in designing and facilitating peer learning and capacity-building initiatives, and a deep passion for social impact and strategic philanthropy.

The Senior Programs Manager will work under the supervision of the Programs Director and they will be part of a growing team with colleagues in London and Paris.

Key responsibilities:

• Facilitate and liaise with other teams within the foundation, to keep portfolio organizations' data, analysis and information up to date to support its relationships with donors and target audiences.

Required  skills and qualifications:

• Right to work in France or the United Kingdom (Epic is not able to sponsor visas)

• 7+  years experience in non-profit organisational development and programs and / or philanthropy strategy and grant-making.

• Technical expertise in one or more of Epic’s key priorities (i.e.: social entrepreneurship, social impact evaluation, youth empowerment and trust-based philanthropy).

• Previous experience and knowledge of appropriate tools and methodologies to build capacity and learning processes for organisational development and scaling social impact.

• Expertise of working with relevant IT, such as CRM systems and project management tools. In particular familiarity of working with AI, to help enhance efficiency, learning and analysis. 

• Strong understanding and expertise in nonprofit management, design, and impact analysis and the ability to assess a nonprofit across impact, operations and governance. 

• Strong analytical and evaluative skills, especially analyzing data and research - both qualitative and quantitative - and specifically those related to programmatic monitoring, impact assessment and learning.

• Strong facilitation skills and ability to navigate complex  power dynamics and multi-stakeholder spaces.

• Strong writing skills and ability to communicate effectively (written and orally) to diverse audiences in English (and French desired).

• Experience of working in a lean and entrepreneurial organization with a high degree of self management; strong project management skills and ability to manage a high-volume workload at a fast pace.

The Architectural Support Officer plays a central role in this work. Architectural and technical support

The Director General functions as the Chief Executive of the charity, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to fulfil EASST's mission and objectives.

Terms and Conditions

As Executive Assistant, you'll be part of a dedicated and values‑led organisation, contributing directly to the effectiveness of senior leadership and governance structures that underpin our ability to deliver high‑quality services to survivors. About You

You're an experienced or can demonstrate you have the skills to be a highly organised Executive Assistant who enjoys supporting senior leaders and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. You’re comfortable working closely with the CEO, Executive Team and Board of Trustees, providing discreet, reliable and proactive support.

You’re confident in coordinating meetings and governance activity, keeping records up to date, and managing multiple priorities with care and attention to detail.You need to be IT proficient to manage digital systems, streamline workflows and support day to day operations efficiently. You need to have advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel experience with Microsoft teams and zoom for virtual meetings. 

We are also looking for you to be able to manage shared drives and digital filing systems. Positive, pro-active and adaptable, you respond well to changing needs and are happy to support occasional evening trustee or sub‑committee meetings as part of the role.

The Role

At the heart of NSPCC is its Services Directorate, delivering practical, child-centred support that helps keep children and young people safe. These services translate the organisation’s mission into action through prevention, therapeutic support, and strengthening safeguarding practice.

The Services Director will play a critical role in shaping the NSPCC’s future as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, leading the development and delivery of a national services strategy and overseeing a complex portfolio of services.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Leading high-quality national and local services that improve outcomes for children and young people
• Shaping and delivering the services strategy to support the organisation’s wider ambitions

The Person

This is an opportunity for a collaborative, values-driven leader to navigate complexity, drive meaningful change, and make a lasting difference to children’s lives at scale. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Extensive experience and proven track record at Director level of successfully developing and delivering services, including co-production and collaboration with partners, in a complex stakeholder environment that have a measurably positive impact for beneficiaries.
• Highly experienced in child protection with demonstrable knowledge and experience of child safeguarding. A social work qualification will be highly advantageous.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams of functional experts, overseeing significant income and expenditure budgets, and driving operational performance through the setting and monitoring of clear, aligned objectives.
• Experience of designing and delivering transformational change and driving performance management using appropriate quality and management methods and models, to deliver efficient and effective services.
• Demonstrable understanding of the operational context for services including the commissioning and market environment.
• Experience of managing senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, and confidence in dealing with, and influencing, senior employees and volunteer colleagues, and producing and imparting clear and non-technical advice and information.
• Values the different skills and attributes of others, utilising the insight, experience and expertise of colleagues.
• Experience of representing an organisation at the highest level. Clearly articulates a compelling vision, focussing on both what the future might hold and the more immediate stepping stones to realise those outcomes.

Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a long-established and ambitious charity, supporting young people across the UK to develop confidence, resilience and skills for life. Through a network of over 400 units and the commitment of more than 9,000 volunteers, MSSC works with over 14,000 young people each year, providing transformative experiences rooted in challenge, community, learning and adventure. We are now seeking a Director of Volunteering & Growth to join the Senior Leadership Team at an important point in our development. We have an ambition to significantly grow our Cadet numbers, requiring us to strengthen our infrastructure, grow our reach and volunteer numbers, and ensure we are delivering consistently high-quality experiences across the country.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, this is a broad and pivotal leadership role with responsibility for a diverse and operationally critical portfolio. Key responsibilities will include:

• Focusing on growing our Cadet and Volunteer numbers, supporting MSSC to expand its reach and impact while maintaining quality and consistency
• Leading and developing our Volunteering strategy, strengthening the recruitment, retention and support for the large, national volunteer base which is vital for our successful expansion

This is an exciting, broad role and we are not expecting someone to bring experience across all aspects; you will be supported by a team with functional expertise. We are looking for experience of driving strategic development and growth within complex, volunteer-led organisations, working at scale with volunteers, including leading services that support, enable and engage diverse volunteer communities. You will also have a strong understanding of governance, safeguarding and risk, alongside a track record of delivering transformation and improvement. Just as importantly, you will bring a collaborative, inclusive and values-driven approach, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people. Experience within the youth sector would be welcome but is not essential.

About the role:

The prospect research and pipeline management role is pivotal to fundraising at Sue Ryder – you will sit within the Philanthropy and Partnership team and will be working across the Corporate, Trust, Major Donor and Regional teams. We are looking for someone who can support our fundraisers through prospect research, network mapping, lead qualification, and due diligence checks.

Most importantly you will be a proactive member of the team, joining us at an exciting time as we embark on our newly developed 5-year fundraising strategy. You will be a member of the team with the skills to review and develop the pipeline management process on our CRM (Raiser Edge NXT) ensuring the teams have access to dashboards, tracking their donors across the stages of solicitation. You will also provide insight reports into how well we are moving prospects through the pipelines and will have a voice to make recommendations. This role will also ensure we are working within data protection and fundraising regulations and both deliver and track our due diligence checks.

About you:

• Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with prospect research tools and the ability to identify and recommend the best tools to support our work using the budget as cost effectively as possible.
• Thorough working knowledge of GDPR as it relates to major donor fundraising and the Fundraising Codes of Practice.
• Experience of undertaking due diligence checks on prospective donors and of setting up and implementing policies and processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build supportive and collaborative relationships with colleagues both across fundraising and the organisation including the ability to chair meetings and present data and insight.
• Experience of working on a variety of requests and ability to manage and prioritise workload whilst being responsive.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience of driving forward process improvements, implementing new processes or systems, and working with colleagues to embed change.
• Skilled at using a relationship management database (or CRM) to track prospects through the solicitation process, produce dashboards and reports and glean insight from data.
• Experience of delivering prospect research activities to identify and qualify leads for fundraising teams across corporate, trust and major donor income streams.
• Working knowledge of high value income streams and what will support fundraisers in achieving income growth.
• Experience of providing relevant high quality and accurate research profiles with developed research skills and attention to detail.
• Proven experience in identifying new high-value funding prospects from the database and other sources including major donors, corporate partners and trusts.
• Proven ability to be proactive in network mapping securing new prospects or additional opportunities from existing networks e.g. see that a major donor is also a trustee of a grant giving trust or the CEO of a potential corporate partner.
