About the role

This is a pivotal role within our newly established Prospect Development and Insight function, giving you the opportunity to shape how we identify, research, and prioritise the high‑value prospects who can make transformational gifts to Macmillan.

You will be responsible for feeding high‑quality insight directly to fundraisers, supporting them to grow pipelines, prioritise approaches, and unlock opportunities across corporate partnerships, philanthropy, and trusts. Key responsibilities:

• Identify and qualify high‑value prospects using press scanning, wealth screening, network mapping, and research tools.

To support the AKF(UK) team by running efficient and effective systems for front office and office operations. To support the Head of HR and work closely with the HR Officer in HR Administration. To cover for PA duties to the CEO when the PA to the CEO and Office Administrator is not available. This support and coordination role will help the office as a whole to sustain high professional standards and effectiveness. The Office & HR Assistant is responsible for: office administration (50%), HR, Health& Safety & security administration (45%), and IT administration (5%).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

Office administration (50%)

• Answer the AKF UK main phone line and pass on messages to AKF (UK) employees as appropriate
• Open and process the post at the Aga Khan Centre and deliver to the relevant AKF (UK) employee
• Manage the “front office” email account and ensure emails are replied to or forwarded to the relevant AKF (UK) employee
• Support the greeting and receiving of AKF (UK) guests at AKC

• Preparing and sending out offer letters and contracts as directed by the Head of HR
• Support the onboarding process including sending reference requests and background check requests
• Arrange induction and logistical arrangements for new employees including setting up phone, email, mobile, laptop, etc and purchasing new equipment as necessary
• Add new members to benefit schemes such as the private healthcare plan 
• Arrange leaving process for AKF (UK) employees and ensure all equipment is returned
• Support the Head of HR with the administration of the HR Management System (MyAKF)
• Troubleshoot any issues or problems with the MyAKF HR system, working with the MyAKF helpdesk

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a permanent Finance Manager to join our busy finance team, working 30-37 hours per week, minimum 30 hours, ideally over a minimum of 4 days, starting salary £31,634 per annum (pro rata).

As Finance Manager, you will:-

ISEAL is looking for an experienced events professional to manage a range of in person and virtual events for its global stakeholder base. This is an exciting role for someone with a strong track record in organising events of differing sizes for in-person, online, and hybrid audiences, and who is interested in sustainability.

Events are a vital part of ISEAL’s work to communicate with, influence, and engage our key stakeholder groups, including policy makers, multilateral organisations, donors, companies, NGOs, producers, and, of course, ISEAL’s own members. To support these aims, ISEAL hosts at least one major public forum, conference or symposium each year. In 2026, this will be a Global Sustainability Symposium and will take place in Accra, Ghana in June with around 200-300 participants. Additionally, ISEAL organises Members´ Week, an annual multi-day event for ISEAL Community Members that typically attracts 60-100 participants per day.

With support from the Events Coordinator, the Associate Manager will be responsible for all aspects of event management for the events described above. The role will also work closely with ISEAL programme teams and senior colleagues to coordinate the development of event agendas, content and sessions.

In addition, ISEAL’s events programme includes a range of smaller workshops and roundtables, both in Europe and in other locations, including China, India, Ghana, Indonesia, and Latin America. ISEAL also runs a busy webinar programme. The Associate Manager will work with senior colleagues to agree the level of support given by the Events Team to each of these smaller events/event series. While the Events Team is not expected to directly organise every event, the Associate Manager will also maintain and develop event planning resources, and guidance to support the organisation to consistently deliver high-quality events.

To succeed in this role, you will have significant existing experience in organising events, ideally including international events for high-profile audiences. Given the range of international events, you will also have a sensitive approach to cultural diversity and, ideally, some additional language skills. This role is responsible for line managing the Events Coordinator.

Event management

• Manage the production and delivery of in person and virtual events, with a particular focus on sustainable event delivery
• Implement project management processes to deliver on events, including developing work-back plans and RACI charts, organising and chairing planning meetings, and leading on internal communications

• Contribute to developing the annual event schedule, including making recommendations based on the event team’s capacity and referring to ISEAL’s strategic objectives
• Maintain and develop event planning guidance, templates, tools, systems, and other resources
• Support the Events & Engagement Manager to maintain and develop event-related policies, including the Event Code of Conduct and the Event Sustainability Policy

• Maintain an updated list of venue choices that have high sustainability credentials in key cities where ISEAL may wish to hold small and large events

The Prospect Researcher plays a key role in supporting high-value fundraising efforts by identifying, analysing, and prioritising potential donors, trusts, and foundations aligned with the Charity’s mission. Through in-depth research and insight generation, the post holder will build a strong, actionable pipeline of prospects, enabling personalised engagement strategies for the Philanthropy Team. Working collaboratively across the Engagement Team, the Prospect Researcher will provide intelligence that shapes cultivation plans, provides insights that supports strategic conversations at events, monitors giving trends, and ensures all prospect activity is data-informed, ethical, and compliant. This role is vital to driving sustainable income growth and deepening the Charity’s reach within the philanthropic community.

Prospect Identification and Research 

• Conduct thorough research to identify and profile potential high-value donors, trusts, and foundations aligned with the charity’s mission and appeal goals.
• Use a range of tools, databases, and resources to gather information on prospects, including their giving capacity, interests, and philanthropic history.
• Prioritise prospects based on their potential value, affinity, and likelihood to engage with the charity.

Intelligence Gathering and Analysis

• Analyse research findings to produce detailed and actionable prospect profiles for use by the Philanthropy Team.
• Provide insights into donor motivations and interests to support personalised cultivation strategies.
• Monitor trends in philanthropy and the wider funding landscape to identify emerging opportunities.

Pipeline Management 

• Support the development and maintenance of a robust prospect pipeline, ensuring it aligns with the income targets and timelines of the capital appeal and core funding opportunities.
• Work closely with the rest of the Relationship Engagement Team to prioritise prospects and support with research required for cultivation activities.
• Track and update prospect records in the charity’s CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics, to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

Ethical Research and Compliance 

• Ensure all research is conducted ethically, legally, and in line with data protection regulations and best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling donor and prospect information.

Collaboration and Reporting

• Collaborate with fundraising colleagues to share insights and ensure a coordinated approach to donor cultivation.
• Prepare regular reports on research activities, prospect pipeline status, and key insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Support the Relationship Engagement Team with ad hoc research needs, such as preparation for donor meetings or events.

Knowledge and Expereince 

• Proven experience in prospect research, fundraising, or a related field, preferably in the charity sector.

The Office Manager ensures all building facilities run smoothly on a day-to-day basis. They are responsible for the efficient daily operations of our offices and the building and that these are cost-efficient, environmentally conscious and proportionate for a small, not-for-profit organisation.

Key responsibilities

Front of House / Event Management:

· Welcoming all visitors to the SoA building at Bedford Row.

· Managing the post/packages into and out of the building.

· Responsible for managing the Front of House/Operations Assistant and Groups Administrator, including day to day supervision, absence management and ongoing development.

· Responsible for managing the Events Space bookings calendar.

· Managing all events for tenants and external hire from inception to completion including catering as agreed with the client, cleaning team and room set-up of the Events Space.

· Working with the SoA Events Team for internal and member events ensuring that the logistics for room set up and cleaning are in place.

· Acts as a central point of contact for all staff for various Ops/logistics issues.

 Facilities Management:

· Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and best practise, including fire safety, COSHH, RIDDOR and DSE assessments.

· Ensure all checks, risk assessments and remedial actions are implemented in a timely manner.

· Providing health and safety training to all new joiners.

· Ensure the office maintenance plan is kept up to date and all regular maintenance/services are booked and any identified issues are resolved.

· Organise the maintenance and PAT testing of all electrical equipment.

· Fire Warden/First Aider for the ground floor (training will be arranged if required).

· Proactively ensuring the office facilities remain safe, clean, fully-equipped and operational.

· Point of contact for all staff and tenants in relation to office and building issues and queries.

· Responsible for managing office contracts, negotiating the renewal of existing and new contracts.

· Obtaining quotes for any maintenance/repairs works required and carrying out due diligence checks on all new contractors.

• To have a key role in the organisation’s sustainability policy ensuring the purchase of all office provisions considers cost and any environmental and ethical impacts.

IT Coordination:

· Liaise with external IT support providers as necessary ensuring SLAs are adhered met and effectively resolve IT issues.

· Maintain a laptop register and prepare and maintain an annual rolling plan for renewal of old equipment.

· To oversee the migration of SharePoint data to the new CRM system in 2026.

· To be involved in any IT projects that need to integrate with our office systems (O365, SharePoint and One Drive).

· To be responsible for IT support for the office laptops and office systems (windows, O365, One Drive and SharePoint) ensuring that there is a maintenance contract in place and this is reviewed on a regular basis.

o For the Evaluation team: Maintain an evaluation report tracking system to monitor deadlines and ensure timely submissions.

o Ensure data archiving is completed and shared with ONS/DfE as required.

Support process improvements and system integrity

o Assist the Senior Grants and Commissioning Manager and Assistant Director of Finance and Operations in implementing improvements to commissioning and procurement processes.

o Provide backup technical support for Salesforce during periods when the Senior Grants and Commissioning Manager is unavailable or requires assistance.

o Identify and suggest process enhancements to drive efficiency and consistency across commissioning operations.

Enable effective communication and reporting

o Serve as the main point of contact for initial commissioning and procurement requests when they arise, ensuring streamlined processes and avoiding duplication.

o Provide timely responses and clear communication to internal teams to improve stakeholder experience.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in. 

We’re at an exciting time, with a new strategy coming soon, and so we are looking to grow our Research Funding Team. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Grant Manager to help us deliver our core funding schemes and embark on new, exciting initiatives to fund ground-breaking research that will revolutionise how prostate cancer is diagnosed and treated. 

You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of around a third of our active research grants, providing support and guidance to the researchers leading them. You’ll be a main point of contact for grant applicants, supporting them through the application process and providing them with guidance about remit and eligibility. Using your understanding of research funding and administration, you’ll work with our Senior Research Officers to make sure our funding schemes run smoothly, to time and support our funding Committees in their review of the applications we receive. 

What the job involves

It’s crucial that we not only have fair and robust processes to ensure that we fund the very best research, but that we also closely monitor and support the delivery of the resulting projects, to maximise their impact and accelerate the advancements we see through research. Which is why we’re looking to appoint an experienced Grant Manager to join our Research Directorate.

As part of your responsibilities, you’ll manage a portfolio of our active research grants, closely monitoring their progress and finances, and provide valuable support and advice to our grant holders and their teams. You’ll develop a detailed understanding of the science behind these projects and build positive working relationships with the researchers and their institutions. You’ll monitor your portfolio for demonstrable outputs (publications, presentations, intellectual property etc.) and you’ll work closely with colleagues in other teams to help them better understand the research we fund in order to showcase this to our supporters and potential donors.

You’ll support the delivery of our research funding grant schemes, managing at least one of our grant rounds, whilst also supporting our other funding schemes, ensuring that we maintain robust processes and adhere to industry and department standards. You’ll also help direct on our activities to involve people with experience of prostate cancer in research, including their involvement in the assessment of the research proposals we receive, as well as supporting researchers to include patients in the design and delivery of their projects.

Like many charities, we’ve historically developed our digital framework and footprint organically, with insufficient web and CRM integration and functionality, duplication, and data silos. This has resulted in data management and website capabilities that don’t fully meet our users’ needs. We’re addressing this by:

Key accountabilities 

• Lead the refinement and implementation of the charity’s digital strategy. 
• Lead a project team to successfully deliver change in line with the agreed project timeline. 
• Manage the governance and assurance framework for delivering our website and CRM digital transformation programme. 
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation and with current and future digital partners. Use these networks to: 

1. Promote digitalfirst principles and best practice, and raise awareness of our work. 
2. Increase internal stakeholders’ understanding of the benefits and opportunities that digital approaches bring. 
3. Proactively identify opportunities to increase our digital capability and integrate digital into current and upcoming work. 

• Revise and deploy a performance assessment framework to track individual digital projects and ensure services comply with digital and data bestpractice standards. 
• Assess and report on Adoption UK’s digital and data maturity, ensuring compliance with data security standards. 
• Manage our external digital and IT partners, including contracts and performance monitoring. 

Essential criteria 

• A strong understanding of digital and technology trends, with experience implementing a Microsoft based technology stack based technology stack. 
• Experience in successfully delivering digital change projects. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex or technical information clearly and simply. 
• Experience of building relationships with, engaging, and influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Able to engage effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiences. 
• Experience working at a senior level to deliver change or implement strategy. 
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to changing circumstances and tight timelines. 

Desirable criteria 

• Experience of working in an organisation that uses agile development methodologies. 
• A strong understanding of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) principles and approach, and of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) principles, audit, and compliance. 

Digital Change Manager

Role purpose 

Adoption UK is undertaking a major digital transformation, initially focused on CRM and Website developments. Our Digital Transformation Team will drive this change programme, working with colleagues and external digital partners; and subsequently deliver our on-going digital strategy implementation and development. 

You will support the Digital Transformation Lead to refine and implement Adoption UK’s digital strategy, to deliver our digital transformation project. Working with internal and external stakeholders the team will ensure that the project’s vision and scope meet the business and operational needs of the charity. An important part of your role will be to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and particularly with our Marketing and Communications team to integrate digital into all current and upcoming projects.

• Coordinate data and content activities, including migration between platforms, to deliver our website and CRM digital transformation programme.

• Utilise and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation and with current and future digital partners. Use these networks to: 

• embed digital first principles and best practice. 

• Train, coach and mentor colleagues to be effective users of our CRM and website. 

• Progress opportunities to increase our digital capability and integrate digital into our current and upcoming work. 

• Utilise the digital performance assessment framework to monitor compliance with digital and data best practice standards. 

• Assist in maintaining our data security standards compliance, participating in quality assurance activities. 

• Work collaboratively with our external digital and IT partners. 

Essential Criteria 

• Significant experience of website and CRM implementation and data/content management. 

• Good general knowledge and experience of organisational IT systems, including cloud and M365 applications. 

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Able to convey complex or technical information simply and clearly. 

• Experience of IT/Digital supplier engagement. Able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Experience of working in a digital project/change environment. 

• Ability to work under pressure and to respond quickly to changing circumstances and to tight timetables
