About the role
At the National Institute of Teaching, we are working to improve the quality of teacher and leader development at a system level. We believe teaching is a fundamental societal good, a privilege and a responsibility, and we are looking for a Senior Programmes Recruitment & Marketing Manager who can help us reach, engage and recruit the teachers and leaders who will make the greatest difference for children.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead national recruitment and marketing activity across our programmes, ensuring that our approach is ambitious, inclusive, evidence-informed and responsive to the needs of schools. You will oversee recruitment pipelines from initial interest through to programme commencement, using data and insight to improve performance, support regional teams, and ensure that the NIoT meets its recruitment targets across the country.
Working closely with the Director of Recruitment and Marketing, Programme faculties, Regional Principals, Associate Colleges and our Research and Best Practice function, you will play a key role in strengthening our national reach. You will lead strategic recruitment and marketing plans, support intervention in areas of need, champion inclusive and equitable recruitment practice, and ensure our messaging reflects the realities of schools, teachers and leaders.
We are looking for someone who combines strong strategic thinking with practical delivery. You will bring experience of leading recruitment, sales or income generation activity, designing and implementing strategy, working towards ambitious targets, and using data to drive improvement. You will also be an excellent communicator, confident working across teams and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving national organisation.
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that the postholder will work from the office at least once a fortnight, and more frequently where required to meet business needs. The role also involves national travel, which may include overnight stays.

About You

Your role

You will be responsible for:
- Being strongly connected to the RNLI community in your area, acting as the primary point of contact for all things engagement – from fundraising and retail to visitor experience
- Empowering volunteer engagement crew to do what they do best, engaging the public, sharing our RNLI vision and growing vital support for our cause
- Supporting volunteer engagement crew to achieve key income, footfall and contact goals and seeking ways to engage new audiences

- Experience of supporting and nurturing corporate or community partnerships
- Wales is a bilingual country, with both Welsh and English used routinely. Whilst the ability to speak and write in Welsh is not an essential requirement for the role, an understanding of the importance of Welsh language and culture is essential
Please note, this role requires a significant level of travel within the designated region of Wales, North West England, West Midlands and Isle of Man but will also require occasional travel to other RNLI assets including our support centre in Poole and occasional overnight stays.

You will lead the day-to-day operation of the Resource Centre, creating a safe and supportive environment that functions as a community hub where people affected by homelessness can access support, build connections, develop skills and improve wellbeing. You will develop activities, workshops and peer-led opportunities that encourage engagement, independence and progression, while fostering strong relationships with local partners and the wider community.
Alongside leading and developing the Resource Centre, you will manage a caseload of clients affected by homelessness, providing practical and emotional support, undertaking assessments, agreeing support plans and helping individuals access accommodation, healthcare, benefits and other relevant services.
Pathway's Business Development Manager plays a key role in our small core team, working with staff across the organisation to develop our offers to NHS partners and building and managing relationships with external funders and partners from the statutory, charity and corporate sectors. Reporting to the Chief Executive the postholder plays a leading role in developing strategies to increase our impact, diversify our revenue streams and support the spread and replication of evidence-based models of care and service improvements, emerging from Pathway’s own work and our wide inclusion health networks.
The main tasks are:
1. Business Development & Lead Generation
Research and identify opportunities to spread Pathway's models of improved care, including new routes to NHS commissioners, budget holders, and innovative funding mechanisms. With senior support, identify target contacts and generate leads to develop and diversify Pathway's revenue streams and carry out planning to adapt to the external environment.
2. Grant Writing & Funding Applications
Lead and co-ordinate the development of high-quality grant applications and service business cases, working across Pathway's teams to gather evidence, articulate impact, and make compelling cases for support to NHS commissioners and Trusts, charitable foundations, and corporate partners.
3. Relationship Management
Build, manage and track relationships with NHS commissioners, system partners, clinical champions, corporate partners and funders through new and existing mechanisms. Represent Pathway externally, developing a deep understanding of commissioners' and funders’ needs, and propose ways Pathway can plan to meet them. Help staff, Fellows, and close partners to understand these needs and how Pathway may need to change in response.
4. Marketing & Communications
Work with the Communications Manager to develop promotional campaigns and marketing materials that increase Pathway's impact and externally generated income. Maintain a strong working knowledge of Pathway's care innovations and service models, and promote these in an NHS-appropriate style. Keep abreast of developments in the NHS to ensure Pathway's communications and marketing activities connect with current health service concerns.
About you - You need to have:
i. excellent oral and written communications skills including presentation skills
ii. experience of building trust, confidence and excellent working relationships with clients and partners
iii. experience of working within the health or health inclusion field preferably within NHS commissioning organisations or public health
iv. demonstrable knowledge of NHS commissioning structures and practices
v. passion for and a strong commitment to improve health outcomes for the most marginalised people in the UK
vi. the credibility to describe and promote care and service quality improvements developed by Pathway and practitioners across our networks
vii. knowledge and experience of marketing techniques and evidence of success in applying them to public sector organisations
viii. demonstrable experience of project and programme management
ix. ability to see the big picture and develop strategies that can be understood and taken forward by others in the team
x. demonstrable experience of working successfully within a team
xi. strong negotiating skills including evidence of securing ongoing revenue for projects or programmes
xii. a commitment to Pathway’s core values including a firm commitment to human rights-based approaches and eradicating unfair discrimination in all its forms
Ideally you will have:
i. experience of fundraising and grant writing
ii. experience of charity sector governance
iii. experience of working with central, regional and/or local government
Working at Pathway
Pathway’s offices are in London but with limited desk space. The postholder will be expected to split their time between the office and working from home with an expectation of at least two days a week in the office – precise arrangements to be agreed with the CEO.

Communications and Engagement Officer

The Sickle Cell Society (SCS) is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder. Job Purpose:
To assist the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of our Fundraising Strategy and on-going development to achieve our fundraising priorities and targets. We are recruiting a Head of Communications to join our Senior Leadership Team to lead the charity’s communications work, ensuring that the charity’s ambitious growth plan is supported by exceptional strategic communications that engages our key stakeholders and builds support for the charity’s work, particularly with funders and university partners.
This is a senior position and will involve close work with the charity’s senior managers, trustees and high-profile stakeholders. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, ranging from having senior oversight of the charity’s communications strategy, through to rolling your sleeves up to work with the team to meet a tight deadline.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. Our Head Office team is based on the site of our North Kensington centre in West London. We are an organisation with team members at different stages of their career, including many in their first roles: we are committed to nurturing talent and providing a developmental culture for all. Role is mainly office-based, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.
The in-person time will mainly be in the office with other members of the team, but will also include regularly attending meetings at other locations - for example, attending events or meeting stakeholders at IntoUniversity centres.
Salary
£55,000 to £60,000 per annum pro rata (incl. £2,800 London contribution) Pro-rated salary for 30 hours p/w (0.8 FTE) is £44,000 to £48,000 per annum.

Annual Leave
Full-time staff entitlement, pro-rated for part-time staff: 33 days (inc bank & public holidays) + 3 closure days (two in December and one in July) + additional length of service entitlement (one day per year of service, up to 5 days).
Senior Leadership Team
The postholder will be a member of the charity’s Senior Leadership Team, which comprises six senior operational, HR, communications and fundraising staff along with the four members of our Senior Management Team.
