As Community Connector you will play a vital role in fostering meaningful relationships between Raw Material and its diverse local communities, and stakeholders across the education, arts, youth work, community, and social and healthcare sectors.
Working as part of the Programmes Team (and closely with other Raw Material staff) you will develop, coordinate and participate in the delivery of Raw Material’s CEP, building awareness of the charity’s creative and wellbeing programmes, facilities and broader services (e.g. workspaces).
You will develop creative ideas, partnership opportunities and produce and organise activities, events and initiatives that amplify Raw Material’s mission, and boost our reach, increase participation and engagement in our services, and enhance the accessibility, relevance and impact of our work, particularly amongst marginalised communities.
You will champion the use of music and creativity as tools to support wellbeing, personal development and social inclusion; communicate the benefits and value of Raw Material’s programmes and services; and create inclusive pathways for underrepresented and marginalised communities with lived experience to access Raw Material opportunities.

Job Title: Two Part Time Wellbeing Project Co-ordinators
Salary: £27,527 - £30,831 per annum + 6% pension (pro rata)
Hours: Part-time (2 or 4 days/week, 14.4 or 28.8 hours/week)
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays per annum (pro rata)
Based at: Bridge Community Hut, Tewkesbury Road, N15 6SE
Contract: 2 years Fixed term contract (possible extension)

Do you have a proven track record of engaging people from diverse communities in inclusive, community-based programmes? Do you have the skills and confidence to lead a weekly community café (including cooking), recruit and support volunteers, and build trust so residents feel welcomed, valued and empowered?
We are recruiting two part-time Wellbeing Project Coordinators to deliver integrated community programmes at the Bridge Community Hut. This includes the Community Café and weekly cooking sessions, a community belonging and cultural programme, and an inclusive physical activity programme for children, young people, adults and older residents.
The two roles will work collaboratively, with:
· One role focusing on community café and cooking activities, including planning menus and delivering weekly healthy cooking sessions
· One role focusing on inclusive physical activity, supporting and coordinating accessible sessions
Both roles involve coordinating and delivering community-based activities and helping to create a welcoming, inclusive and well-managed environment where residents feel safe and encouraged to participate.
You must be able to engage residents, support volunteers, and contribute to a varied weekly programme of activities.
This is an in-person role based at the Bridge Community Hut, delivered across weekdays and Saturdays, with occasional evenings.

About Citadel
Citadel is a volunteer-powered homelessness prevention project that supports people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, to find a place to live, settle into a home, and feel part of a welcoming and supportive community. Coordinators recruit and train volunteers before matching them with a person referred for support. Coordinators and volunteers work closely with people who have been referred, to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.
About you
We are seeking to hire an outgoing, confident leader who is skilled and comfortable in building relationships and influencing people. You will be a dedicated, diligent person with experience of leading teams in the homelessness, housing or voluntary and community sectors and passionate about the role of the community in ending homelessness.
About the role
The successful candidate will provide supportive line management to six Coordinators working in North-East and South-East London. They will be responsible for overseeing and developing our London projects: building our partnerships, supporting the teams to grow the support we offer and supporting the projects’ continuous improvement and sustainability.
