Operating as a blended role across the Membership and Marketing and Communications teams, this role will support the day-to-day membership and digital communication functions of the NI.

This role is responsible for membership administration and digital communications including processing and onboarding new members to managing ongoing renewals and maintaining the membership database, managing the delivery of Lunch & Learn sessions, Drop-In sessions and a range of themed technical and non-technical webinars, supporting HQ conferences and managing digital communications, member feedback and related marketing activity that underpins effective member engagement.

This role is critical in ensuring that members receive excellent customer service, timely communication, and accurate information about the institute’s services and benefits to support the organisation’s mission to engage and retain members, ensuring they receive value from their membership and are satisfied with their experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational, attention to detail, digital and communications skills with proficiency in database management and who enjoys building connections, creating engaging content, turning feedback into action.

Key Responsibilities:

Membership Administration

· Support the renewals process to ensure prompt collection of membership subscriptions including conducting follow-up campaigns to minimise lapsers. 

· Manage correspondence related to the onboarding process including preparing and sending membership welcome emails, and other communications as appropriate.

· Manage the Membership inbox responding to queries and assigning emails to colleagues or others as necessary.

· Support with the administration of Organisational Members including processing new members, issuing invoices and any other tasks as required.

· Assist with the development and implementation of new membership strategies.

· Other tasks to support the Membership and Business Development Director and Membership Manager as necessary.

Member Engagement and Digital Events

· Coordinate and deliver a structured programme of online events, including:

- Lunch & Learn sessions

- Drop-in member forums

- Themed webinar series covering both technical and non-technical topics

· Manage all webinar logistics, including registration, hosting, and post-event communications.

· Work closely with the Communities Officer and regional branches to promote local and regional events.

· Gather and analyse event feedback and attendance data to evaluate engagement levels and member satisfaction.

Digital Marketing & Communications

· Plan and deliver targeted marketing campaigns to promote membership activities, including a monthly member-focused email highlighting benefits such as mentoring, e-learning, and events.

· Create engaging and relevant content for the NI website, newsletters, and social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn).

· Develop promotional materials and manage a central events calendar to ensure consistent and timely communications.

· Monitor the Communications inbox responding to requests and assigning emails to colleagues or others as necessary

· Collaborate with the Membership and Business Development Director and Marketing and Communications Manager to assist with any other membership recruitment initiatives and campaigns as required.

Data Management & Reporting

• Maintain and regularly cleanse the membership database to ensure all records are accurate and up to date relating to membership and marketing.
• Generate and manage Nuclear Future mailing lists as required.
• Produce analytical reports on membership growth, retention, and engagement.
• Collect, analyse, and present member feedback from surveys and event participation.
• Deliver quarterly reports highlighting engagement trends and insights.
• Apply both quantitative and qualitative data to inform and shape future engagement strategies.
• Ensure full compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Customer Service

· Serve as a point of contact for current and potential members, answering enquiries via phone, email, and online.

· Provide information about membership benefits, policies, and procedures.

· Resolve membership-related issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

General

· Liaise with suppliers and partners where needed to deliver promotional or event materials.

· Support other NI operational activities as required.

Experience and Skills

Essential Experience

· 2–3 years’ experience in membership administration, customer service, event co-ordination or marketing or a similar administrative role, ideally within a non-profit, association, or professional membership organisation.

· Proficient in using CRM or membership management systems, including database management, reporting.

· Experience in administering membership or customer renewals processes.

· Ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a professional environment.

· Ability to write compelling promotional copy.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using digital engagement and event tools such as Eventbrite, Cvent, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Teams.

· Confident in handling data, analysing information, and producing clear, accurate reports.

• Experience in developing and delivering membership recruitment initiatives and campaigns.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.

Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

Communications Assistant

• 15 hours per week at £15.00 an hour (Actual salary £11,700 - FTE £27,300)

The Communications Assistant will provide hands-on support to the Communications Manager in the ideation, creation and delivery of our regular external communications. The role will also involve drafting and scheduling newsletters and providing administrative support with our databases.

This is a 15‑hour‑per‑week role, with the potential to grow in the future. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can spread their hours across the week to support consistent content delivery, but we are open to discussing alternative working patterns for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have experience in a communications, marketing or social media role. They will be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and have basic video editing and/or animation skills. Job Title: Commercial Manager

Reporting To: Head of Retail, Wholesale & Food Service

Salary Range: £36,000 - £38,000 (dependent upon experience)

Purpose of the Job

Commercial Manager will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network. For designated top food partners, you will be their day-to-day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels.

You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them. You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.

You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.

Duties and Responsibilities

Partnership Management

• Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with

designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources

• Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution 

• Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.

• Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.

• Proactively drive account forwards and progress these relationships with regular on-site visits and linking FareShare exec with key contacts.

• Keep up to date with industry and charity insights and ensure this is reflected back strategically across ways of working and account management.

Project and Initiative Management 

• Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives to increase food volumes and strategic value, securing support from a range of stakeholders within food partners and across the FareShare network.

Natur am Byth! is Wales' flagship species recovery programme. Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF), Natural Resources Wales, Welsh Government, Welsh Government’s Landfill Disposals Tax Communities Scheme, Arts Council Wales and Esmee Fairbairn, Natur am Byth unites nine environmental charities to deliver the country’s largest natural heritage and outreach programme to save species from extinction and reconnect people to nature.

The High Brown Fritillary is the UK’s most threatened butterfly species, with a single colony remaining in Wales, where it is restricted to Old Castle Down and Cwm Alun in the Vale of Glamorgan. As such, the species is highly vulnerable to extinction and is a priority for targeted action through Natur am Byth! as one of a small number of single species focal projects. This post focuses on delivering surveys, monitoring and habitat improvements for High Brown Fritillary in the Alun Valley alongside wider species actions contributing to Natur am Byth! in South Wales. 
 
Job Purpose 

•  Deliver agreed conservation outcomes for the High Brown Fritillary single species project within Natur am Byth! in the Vale of Glamorgan. Lead on the delivery of survey and monitoring work, habitat management, volunteer coordination and liaison with graziers, landowners, farmers, partners and contractors to achieve the necessary habitat management outcomes. 
• Work closely alongside the High Brown Fritillary Project Officer focused on the community engagement outcomes of Natur am Byth!, which complement the conservation outcomes. With volunteering and community engagement a critical part of delivering species recovery and ensuring its legacy, close communication and collaboration is essential to deliver this role effectively. 
•  Deliver targeted habitat management activities and conservation advice, survey and monitoring for wider species outcomes within South Wales. 

 
Main Responsibilities

• Lead conservation action targeting High Brown Fritillary within the Alun Valley through liaison with internal and external partners and stakeholders (including private landowners, commoners, land managers, and NRW). 
• Coordinate and manage site-wide habitat monitoring and assessment for High Brown Fritillary to ensure management activities are delivering successfully. 
• Deliver site advisory visits providing specific ecological advice on habitat management for butterflies and moths to benefit threatened species as part of wider site management objectives.
• Manage targeted habitat improvements for High Brown Fritillary and Adder in the Alun Valley through supervision of habitat management contracts and coordination and delivery of volunteer work parties. 
• Organise and deliver a series of conservation workshops to share and promote good practice in grazing and habitat management techniques for threatened species. 
• Lead and collate GIS mapping of species, habitat and project activities to support project reporting, activity planning and ongoing monitoring. 
• Maintain good working relationships with key landowners & commoners,  securing all relevant permissions to undertake appropriate land management where required and engage them in Natur am Byth! events and outcomes.
• Review Natur am Byth! project objectives and schedule and revise actions to maximise impact for species and key stakeholders for an effective project legacy.

• Cynnal ymweliadau cynghori ar safleoedd gan roi cyngor ecolegol penodol ar reoli cynefinoedd ar gyfer gloÿnnod byw a gwyfynod er budd rhywogaethau sydd dan fygythiad fel rhan o amcanion rheoli safleoedd ehangach.
• Rheoli gwelliannau wedi'u targedu i gynefin y Fritheg Frown a'r Wiber yn Nyffryn Alun trwy oruchwylio contractau rheoli cynefinoedd a chydlynu a darparu partïon gwaith gwirfoddol. 
• Trefnu a chyflwyno cyfres o weithdai cadwraeth i rannu a hyrwyddo arfer da mewn technegau pori a rheoli cynefinoedd ar gyfer rhywogaethau dan fygythiad. 
• Arwain a choladu gwaith mapio GIS ar gyfer rhywogaethau, cynefinoedd a gweithgareddau’r prosiect i gefnogi gwaith adrodd, cynllunio gweithgareddau a monitro parhaus y prosiect. 
• Cynnal perthnasoedd gwaith da gyda thirfeddianwyr a chominwyr allweddol, gan sicrhau'r caniatâd perthnasol i ymgymryd â gwaith rheoli tir priodol lle bo angen a'u cynnwys yn nigwyddiadau a chanlyniadau Natur am Byth!.
• Adolygu amcanion prosiect Natur am Byth! a threfnu a diwygio camau gweithredu i gael yr effaith orau posibl ar rywogaethau a rhanddeiliaid allweddol er mwyn sicrhau gwaddol effeithiol i'r prosiect. 
• Rheoli’r elfennau cadwraeth sy’n gysylltiedig â chyllideb y prosiect ochr yn ochr â'ch rheolwr llinell, a chynnal systemau gweinyddol i sicrhau bod y prosiect yn cael ei gyflawni a'i werthuso'n effeithiol.
• Sicrhau bod gweithdrefnau iechyd a diogelwch effeithiol ar waith i bob cyfranogwr, gan gynnwys staff, y cyhoedd, gwirfoddolwyr, partneriaid y prosiect ac aelodau staff eraill Gwarchod Gloÿnnod Byw. 
• Hyrwyddo a rhoi cyhoeddusrwydd i waith y prosiect drwy ddigwyddiadau, cyflwyniadau, cyfryngau print a chyfryngau cymdeithasol. 
• Cyfrannu at gyflawni cadwraeth ar gyfer rhywogaethau o fewn gwaith ehangach Natur am Byth! a Gwarchod Gloÿnnod Byw yn Ne Cymru mewn cytundeb â'ch rheolwr llinell.

 
Cyffredinol

• Hyrwyddo gwerthoedd Gwarchod Gloÿnnod Byw (Rhagoriaeth, Angerddol, Ysbrydoledig, Cydweithredol) gan sicrhau eu bod yn cael eu mabwysiadu ym mhob agwedd ar y rôl.
• Ymgymryd ag unrhyw ddyletswyddau rhesymol eraill yn ôl yr angen ac sy’n gymesur â gradd y swydd.
• Ymgymryd â'r holl ddyletswyddau a chyfrifoldebau yn unol â'r rheolau a'r rheoliadau sy'n cwmpasu cyfleoedd cyfartal er mwyn helpu i feithrin gweithlu amrywiol.
• Gweithio yn unol â pholisïau, gweithdrefnau a chodau ymddygiad Gwarchod Gloÿnnod Byw
• Cymryd rhan weithredol mewn gweithgareddau datblygiad proffesiynol parhaus.
