Job Description

Job Title: Primary Futures Project Manager (Maternity Cover)

Reports to: Head of School Programmes

Location: The role is open to hybrid or fully remote working but the candidate would be expected to be able to occasionally travel to schools within the funded project areas (including Westminster, Chester and Lancashire) and attend occasional meetings at the charity’s offices located at Quantum House, 22 – 24 Red Lion Court, Fleet Street, EC4A 3AB.

Purpose: Are you an experienced project manager with knowledge of the primary education sector who can confidently lead an exciting funded project for 12 months, helping children broaden their horizons and discover their futures? This is a fantastic opportunity to take on the role of Primary Futures Project Manager for Education and Employers charity supporting the delivery of our internationally recognised career-related learning programme in primary schools. The programme is called Inspiring the Future and is known as Primary Futures in primary schools.

Through our programmes, our charity brings inspiring volunteers from the world of work into schools, helping children learn in a fun way about a wide range of future jobs and career pathways, broadening their horizons and raising their aspirations and attainment. School activity sits at the heart of our charity’s mission which is to: ‘ensure that every young person in our country, wherever they live, whatever their parents or carers’ circumstances, has the opportunity to meet a diverse range of volunteers to hear first-hand about jobs and the world of work’.

This important role will manage and lead the day-to-day delivery of a key primary school focused project for the charity, funded by the Westminster Foundation. Responsibilities include leading the delivery and coordination of a multi-year funded project, managing stakeholder and funder relationships, overseeing programme activity across schools and partners, monitoring performance against targets and budgets, reporting on impact and outcomes, and providing line management and support to a remote team member to ensure successful project delivery.

Remuneration: £36k per annum FTE.

Additional Terms: We offer an excellent overall package with 30 days paid holiday, exclusive of Statutory Bank Holidays, plus a competitive pension scheme and a volunteering allowance of up to 5 days per annum – pro rata in accordance with the length of contract. Additional family friendly benefits, including enhancements to Statutory Payments.

Appointment Terms: This is a fixed-term, maternity cover role until at least end of November 2027. This role is advertised as part-time (0.6-0.8 FTE) - responsibilities will be adjusted proportionally for part-time candidates.

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Schools Programmes, the Primary Futures Project Manager (Maternity Cover) will lead the delivery of a major funded project that helps children broaden their horizons, challenge stereotypes and discover the wide range of opportunities available to them in the future. Through Education and Employers' Primary Futures programme, the role will support schools to connect children with inspiring volunteers from the world of work, helping to raise aspirations and develop career-related learning across primary education.

The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of this multi-year project. ensuring activity is delivered on time, within budget and in line with agreed objectives and funding requirements. Working closely with schools, employers, volunteers and the funder, they will lead project delivery across a range of workstreams including school engagement, teacher training, volunteer mobilisation, communications, evaluation and reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager with knowledge of the primary education sector to play a leading role in a nationally recognised charity. The postholder will combine project leadership, stakeholder management and school engagement to ensure high-quality delivery and lasting impact for participating schools, teachers and children, while supporting the long-term success of the programme.

The role is open to hybrid or home-based working, with occasional travel to schools and project activities across Westminster, Chester and Lancashire, alongside occasional meetings with colleagues at the charity's London office.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

We are seeking a driven, highly capable, and enthusiastic Project Manager who can confidently manage a funder relationship, work efficiently to ensure project delivery remains on track and deliver engaging presentations to employers, children, and teachers.  You will bring excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills, along with experience in working with or in primary schools that can support design and delivery of project resources and events and an interest in career-related learning and social mobility.

Key Accountabilities:

Project Management

• Lead the day-to-day management and coordination of a five-year funded project, ensuring delivery is aligned with agreed objectives, targets, timescales, budgets and funder requirements.
• Maintain and oversee detailed project plans, delivery schedules and internal tracking systems to ensure all workstreams are effectively coordinated and milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate activity across multiple project workstreams, including primary school engagement, programme delivery, teacher training, primary-aged resource development, volunteer and employer mobilisation, evaluation, communications and reporting.
• Monitor progress against project KPIs and delivery targets and taking appropriate action to maintain successful delivery.
• Contribute to the longer-term development and sustainability of the project, ensuring learning from delivery is captured and used to inform future years of the programme.
• Manage relationships with the funder and other key project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, appropriate involvement and timely sharing of progress and learning.

Delivery

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project's programme of activity, ensuring participating primary schools receive a high-quality and consistent experience.
• Lead the development of high-quality primary-aged resources for teachers, pupils and parents/carers, overseeing the scoping, creation, and refinement of materials to support project delivery and enable schools to sustain career-related learning beyond the funded programme.
• Lead engagement and delivery with a designated group of participating primary schools, developing strong relationships with teachers and school leaders and tailoring support to their needs.
• Maintain a clear understanding of the needs and context of participating primary schools and geographical areas, using this insight to inform project planning and delivery.
• Ensure teacher training and support builds schools' capacity and confidence to embed career-related learning and independently use Primary Futures beyond the funded intervention.
• Oversee volunteer and employer mobilisation required to meet project delivery needs, working collaboratively with colleagues, employers and local stakeholders.

Reporting

• Lead on the collection of project data and feedback to monitor progress, demonstrate impact and inform ongoing improvements to delivery.
• Oversee the implementation of appropriate reporting mechanisms, including Salesforce and SurveyMonkey, to ensure accurate and timely recording of project activity and outcomes.
• Ensure project data and evidence are accurate, timely and sufficient to demonstrate progress against agreed KPIs and funding requirements.
• Produce high-quality progress updates, reports and other project documentation for senior leadership and funders.

Line Management

• Provide effective line management, direction and support to a remote team member, including performance management, professional development and regular review of progress.
• Plan and allocate workloads, balancing competing priorities and ensuring resources are effectively deployed to meet project and organisational targets.
• Provide oversight and direct leadership of key project activities, including employer encounters, virtual events, teacher training and primary school-based delivery.
• Work collaboratively across Education and Employers to ensure communications, research, evaluation and employer engagement support project delivery.

• Experience of working with primary schools, teachers or other education professionals, with a good understanding of the primary education context. (Ideally 2–3 years experience.)
• Strong project management experience, including coordinating complex, multi-year funded projects and delivering against agreed objectives, targets, timescales, budgets and funder requirements. (Ideally 2–3 years experience.)
• Experience of successful relationship management, with the ability to engage confidently and sensitively with funders, schools and education professionals at a range of levels of seniority.
• Experience of line managing staff, including setting objectives, providing direction, performance management, coaching and development support.
• Experience of collecting, managing and interpreting project data to produce high-quality reports for senior colleague and funders and demonstrate progress against agreed objectives, outcomes and KPIs

Online Fundraising Manager - Innovation - FTC

We're looking for a proactive and delivery-focused online fundraising professional to drive innovation and new online product development across our fundraising portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with a strong test-and-learn mindset who thrives on turning ideas into live initiatives, rapidly testing concepts, measuring impact and applying learnings to improve performance. Key Responsibilities:

Digital Fundraising & Online Communities  

· Lead a test-and-learn approach to fundraising growth, designing, implementing, and evaluating live campaigns and experiments, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to secure buy-in and ensure successful delivery.

· Support and coach teams to generate fundraising through online communities, including Facebook challenges, streaming channels and new tech. You will provide guidance on content, stewardship, and conversion.

· Build relationships with other third sector organisations to share ideas, successes and concerns to build robust fundraising challenges and develop direction for new opportunities. 

· Lead the creation of a Streaming New Product Development pipeline to test innovative fundraising approaches with content creators and streaming communities.

· Work closely with the celebrity and Influencer team to create and deliver the ARUK influencer strategy. 

New Audiences & Partnerships  

· Lead and oversee the development of partnerships.

· Maximise fundraising opportunities through third-party collaborations and emerging digital channels. 

· Work closely with the Celebrity Team to identify potential content creator fundraisers and ensure they are stewarded appropriately. 

· Responsible for developing Online Fundraising strategy, providing guidance to team for building partnerships and maximising relationships.

· Work with Digital team to identify new potential fundraising platforms and digital methods of fundraising. 

Management 

· Attend relevant sector-wide meetings to understand latest trends to inform strategy and direction of team. 

· Undertake evaluation of income area, considering contribution, ROI and long-term potential. 

· Stay abreast of competitor activity, particularly in designated areas, to inform strategy. 

· Develop a full understanding of ARUK systems including data, finance and compliance in order to support the team in creating well informed processes and use of systems. 

· Champion the Innovation/Online Fundraising Team across ARUK, sharing knowledge and education teams on the opportunities available.

· Upskill internal teams (e.g. fundraising, corporate, philanthropy)

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating live tests,

· Experience in effectively managing relationships with internal stakeholders to gain buy-in and drive delivery. 

· Project management experience 

· Experience in fundraising strategy development and delivery. 

· Understanding of social media and online platforms 

· Line management experience, particularly experience managing a team 

· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial targets. 

· Good practice and understanding of GDPR and compliance.

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in London as our Research, Evaluation and Insights Manager.

This role leads delivery of our research, evaluation and insights work across Help Musicians and Music Minds Matter, ensuring the charities generate high-quality evidence and insights around the need for our support and the impact that we have.

The postholder leads a portfolio of research projects - designing and delivering in-house research and evaluation including user research and testing to inform new services, as well as structured research projects to create new evidence, as well as managing research delivered by consultants, agencies and partners like universities. All with an aim of deepening our understanding of the communities we serve in music and what works when it comes to making a meaningful difference for musicians and people across music.

The role will generate a range of outputs that support an insights-led and user-centred culture across our charities, using our own service data as well as research to inform strategic and operational decision-making across our different functions.

The role also manages impact reporting across our charities, supporting our Director of Services and Research with maintaining an impact architecture which helps our people and our Board have access to timely and usable data and insights about our progress towards our strategic goals.

About You

We are looking for someone relentlessly curious, with an enthusiastic understanding of the importance good evidence, evaluation and insights can have on charitable impact. Essentially, you will possess:

1. Track record in personally designing and delivering credible research projects including surveys and qualitative research and producing reports for internal purposes e.g. service development as well as external publication

2. Experience in monitoring and evaluation- with an understanding of how to design and conduct evaluation that supports both internal learning and improvement, as well as fundraising and growth goals

3. Robust project management and collaboration skills, able to deliver through your team and also through partners such as research agencies, academic partners and project stakeholders

4. Experience using research and data analysis software such as Power BI

As an Officer in ImpactEd Evaluation you will project manage evaluation partnerships with schools, trusts and education organisations, from Theory of Change and evaluation design through data collection and analysis to reporting, with the support of a project sponsor. You will work directly with partners, keep projects on track and in scope, and help partners understand and act on what their data is telling them.

We are open to a range of experience and backgrounds. Prior experience in any of consultancy and partnership management, data analysis and report writing, research and evaluation, or the UK education system is likely to be particularly useful. Officers lead the delivery of specific projects and engagements with support, contribute to revenue generation and service delivery, and mentor junior colleagues.

Partnerships and delivery Project manage evaluation partnerships, coordinating delivery and often leading much of it, with support from a project sponsor. Drive partnerships forward through proactive communication and follow-up, build partner buy-in by involving different stakeholders, and manage scope and the risk of over- or under-delivery.

Evaluation design Facilitate evaluation design with partners: create Theories of Change, design research questions, identify outcome measures and measurement tools, and bring these together in an evaluation framework.

Data collection and analysis Identify suitable approaches to recruiting research participants and facilitate quantitative and qualitative data collection (surveys, existing school data, focus groups and interviews), using our School Impact Platform. Reporting and insight Engage with partners to understand the context and purpose of a report and agree the output accordingly. Synthesise the key messages from a complex set of data and report them in an accessible, concise way that fits the partner's context and helps them act.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Advice service. As Advice Casework Manager you will oversee both immigration and welfare & housing casework, managing casework allocation and maintaining rigorous standards across all work. You will provide line management, support staff development and oversee monitoring and evaluation to create accurate reports for funders and senior management. You will also manage a personal caseload, in line with your previous experience. 

IRMO’s Advice service provides trusted information, resources, advice and casework in Spanish and Portuguese on key areas of need, including immigration, welfare entitlements, housing and homelessness prevention. IRMO is accredited by the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 3. We are also members of Advice UK and receive second-tier support from Southwark Law Centre.

As part of our Advice for All partnership, you will oversee the delivery of our Advice Workforce Development Programme, working in close collaboration with our partner organisations. This includes supporting the training and development of year-long cohorts of immigration and welfare & housing trainees, as well as strengthening the skills and practice of our existing advice workforce.

Working alongside the Anti-Racism Strategic Lead and with the Co-design Lead, Community Engagement team and Global Majority communities, you will develop and test culturally grounded, accessible and innovative ways of gathering evidence and understanding change. You will explore creative and participatory approaches that work for different communities, while ensuring the evidence remains robust and useful for analysis and Bhip’s wider evaluation requirements.

As Bhip develops, you will bring different forms of evidence together to identify patterns, test assumptions and evaluate emerging approaches and system-practice tests against Bhip’s Theory of Change, logic model and programme and organisational outcomes. You will provide analytical and evidence support to the Anti-Racism Strategic Lead, while working across the wider REN and HHU Bhip team to ensure evidence informs learning, accountability, programme development and system change.
